Lane N70 .......phone With A Projector
Mufaddal posted a topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
ll the way from China comes an interesting cellphone with a built-in micro projector. Anyway, the Lanye N70 resembles a Nokia cellphone design-wise (on the front at least) and has the same codename as the popular Nokia N70. The Lanye handset includes a 2.4-inch touchscreen, 2 speakers, and the micro projector can provide an image that measures 30-inches. On top of the bluetooth connectivity, it is a dual band GSM phone and uses Twin 1800mAh lithium ion batteries. SOURCE: DAILYMOBILE -

Updated: Htc Dream! Google Selling Unlocked G1 Phones In India !
Mufaddal replied to Honest's topic in HTC
Talk about a quick response. Almost as soon as the Android development community happen to stumble upon a jailbreak Google let loose their counter-punch. Google is now pushing out a new Android OS build that patches the current Android jailbreak exploit. The patch should make quick work of closing the security hole that handed over access to the T-Mobile G1’s file-system root. As Gizmodo points out, Google’s patch to kill the Android jailbreak exploit isn’t as dire as it would be were Apple to seal up the iPhone jailbreak security hole . The Android Market is already quite open to software and Android apps are allowed almost-free reign over the T-Mobile G1’s (as well as future Android devices) hardware. While Apple iPhone users have to resort to the jailbreak underground to get at applications that Apple would never allow to hit the AppStore, Android users can expect to see fully functional application in the Android Market. The new Android OS RC30 update is being rolled out as we speak and, by the sound of it, Google is working to make sure T-Mobile G1 owners get the update as soon as possible. We’ve been notified of this issue (Jailbreaking of Android) and have developed a fix. We’re currently working with our partners to push the fix out and updating the open source code base to reflect these changes. The update is being rolled out OTA (over-the-air) as we speak, so keep an eye out for an automatic update notification on your T-Mobile G1. [Via: XDA Developers] -

even i would prefer htc mogul when it comes to web browsing and wifi .....this device rocks in that area ....otherwise palm os is he best when iy comes to speed and stability.......no typical glitches of windows mobile .......but mogul just looks dam cool

have you set up a proxy server
-
you can update to 6.1 ..which is more stable but u cant get thf3d.......as it is touch 3d is graphc intense and htc touch and mogul are not equipped unlike diamond to handle intense graphics........... also y do u want thfl3d.....its no good..having tried a diamond i can tell you that basic interface of windows mobile is a bit faster than touch 3d which lags quite often at times.....

As tough as it is to predict what innovations and advancements might take place in the future, there are certainly general trends to follow. In our current global economic troubles, there’s no doubt that many development budgets have been cut in half, or cut completely until things start to turn around. Sony Ericsson has made some predictions on where things are going. In a document that I’ve posted above, you’ll notice Sony Ericsson is making some bold predictions about the mobile device in 2012. The predictions noted above include: Digital Cameras to go to 12-20 megapixels Video Cameras to have full HD resolution Screen resolutions to go XGA (1024×768) CPU’s to hit 1GHz Internet connections to reach LTE 100+ Mbps Now wouldn’t all those features be top shelf? A 1GHz processor in my mobile device… Yeah, I could see myself blazing around the internet, downloading way too much music and email… All from wherever I happen to be. Sounds not bad. In fact, if my phone could simply download music to my cerebral cortex, and I could tap on the left side of my head to play, and right side of my head to pause/stop, that would be cool too. Just an idea. One might want to say to Sony Ericsson that they should perhaps focus on building cooler device in the here and now, but you have to admit… it’s nice to see SE looking forward and not backward. You can’t get to where you want to go without a plan! [Via: EngadgetMobile]

yes nokia has a lot of things in their R&D but i dont see any new things coming into the market from their side......if u remeber they had this concept of full touch screen phones a few yrs back....but then what happened the idea and development went cold and u had all flood of nseries handsets....now with iphone they revived their touchscreen development and came up with nokia tube...and in few mnths will come witha similar n series device.... i like nokia but these days i dont see much innovation from their side......infact samsung is goin to launch a phone which will have a projector ...in few mnths...i liked the hysteria they created when they came up with the idea of a convergent device with n95 .......but now all v see are refurbished n95s ( n85/n96/n958gb)...i hope to see atleast some innovative device from them in 2009 ...... i find samsung and apple to b more innovative than others....... more than anything i would like to see innovations from apple"s side ...thyey r coming up with innovative as well as very appealing products...i wonder how an iphone of 2012 will b ...... -

The T-Mobile G1 is just the tip of the open-source spear that’s ready to pierce the mobile industry’s heart. Android OS, the open-source Google mobile platform, would be the spear itself. In a mobile ecosystem filled with proprietary technology and closed platforms, the Android OS represents a breath of fresh air in the mass consumer market. But, as an open-source advocate or developer, how do you come to terms with using a handset that’s powered by an open platform like Android and offers almost unfettered access to third-party application while at the same time locking you out of its file-system? The iPhone, for example, has been hacked to gain access to the file-system, allowing for third-party application installations - the “jailbreak,” if you will. By jailbreaking a device, you free it’s file-system from lock-down, allowing you to add applications and fiddle with your mobile phone as you see fit. Worry not, T-Mobile G1 and Android OS fans, the intrepid developers over at XDA Developers have found a way to jailbreak the Android OS. The jailbreak allows developers to gain root access of the Android file system. Here’s how you gain root access on Android OS: Turn on WiFi Get PTerminal from the Android Market Fire up PTerminal Type “cd system” and hit Enter Type “cd bin” and hit Enter “Type “telnetd” and hit Enter Type “netstat” and hit Enter This will display your device’s IP address Now you can telnet into your device’s root using the IP address you just wrote down Keep in mind, a future Android OS update may likely come along and break this jailbreak method. make sure in browser tab u have left everything empty and only 0 in both pri and sec port NGG...... and in advanced tab just put the last digit of your new min in ACCOLOC ....... y r u playing with other settings in advanced tab i cant understand.......when your phone is activated and working on tata your advanced tab will already show all tata settings there is nothing to change except for ACCOLC where it has to b last digit of min ........( which also in my case was the last digit of min i dint have to cahnge anything) when i set up my net i simply did two three things and my net started in the second attempt ....main is that u see that everything is empty in browser tab ....and 0 in pri and sec NGG r u using a valid username and password........also whenu try to connect to the net what error is it giving ...... . yes he has removed it ....i think he is coming up with a new version of g rom ...... also guys remeber one thing u can surely overclock your device.....but it is not the processor speed which determines the speed of the os and the operations .......its speed of the interface depends mainly on the os and how nicely it has been tweaked to make use of hardware resources..... in past also i have overclocked my devices but the speed of the os remains more or less the same .... so dont expect that by overclocking u can get over the typical "glitches" or "lags" in windows mobile ....its better to leave it like that rather than unnecessarily overclocking ......

ever dream of using your PalmOS device directly from your computer? With PdaReach now it is possible! Simply connect your PDA to your computer with the HotSync cable, PdaReach will show your Palm device on the computer and you can start typing and clicking on it. Super responsive! n.

There are different ways that PdaReach can be useful: For Business use: Demonstration and Training - If you ever need to present anything on your Palm with your computer, PdaReach will be the perfect tool to use. It comes with enlarge mode and a full screen theater mode which is ideal for projecting the Palm screen. For this reason, Palm uses PdaReach as a marketing tool and a training tool at very different occasions. Another useful feature from PdaReach is the support for taking screen shots, with or without any Palm skins. You can easily save any Palm screen to a image file on disk. Palm actually uses this feature to build their training materials. PdaReach comes with skins for almost all Palm OS 5 devices. You can visit the Skin Repository and add additional skins for your favorite look and feel. For personal use: Convenience and Efficiency - PdaReach will display the real-time content of your Palm screen on the PC and you can use the mouse and keyboard to interact with it. This is an extremely handy and efficient way to operate your Palm device. For example, PdaReach displays a floating popup editor on Windows, allowing you to change any text fields on the device, even copying/pasting text from other Windows applications. There are also a lot of shortcuts built in so that you can perform certain actions as easy as pressing one button (e.g. Ctrl-S to launch HotSync or F1~F4 to invoke the app buttons). PdaReach will try to turn off - or dim, depending on the kind of device you have - the PDA screen while allowing you to interact with it from the PC -- a great way to conserve battery power on your PDA when it is in use. If you need to install a single Palm application (.prc or .pdb file) to your device, just drag-and-drop that file to the PdaReach window and it will be installed immediately. HotSync is not needed.
