@dhiraj seems like for every new user v will have to post setings .............. to all newbies PLZ PLZ read this thread properly before asking questions as most of the settings have been provided in these pages for internet settings go to -page 6 for mail settings go to -page 18 if u want to manually retrieve mails then versamail works good enough.....if u want imap push then use chatter email most of the essential softwares with their solutions have been posted in the thread ....... so plz read the thread properly n if u r not following it or still having problems so let us know

if u still having problems then uninstall everything ......everyhing related to nokia pc suite and lg drivers ...do a registry clean up .....and reinstall version 6.85 of nokia pc suite

thanks all for your reply... but unfortunately i don't find any file named wdf01000.sys on c:/windows/system32/drivers. both nokia pc suite and lg usb cable driver are installed when i searched for the file. i am using nokia pc suite 7. thanks in advance......... did u check it properly ....it must b inside drivers folder ...also just go to folder options n set it to view hidden files n folders ( though i dont think its a hidden file)

the guy who told u that these laptops run on mobile phone processors must b such an idiot.......seriously these people have no technical knowledge ................these r completely diffrenet set of processors meant for laptop and the one meant for phones r completely different.....though in many cases a mobile phone ARM core can perform similar to an intel atom chipset that said these laptops use an intel atom chipset which r very small in dimension and highly power efficient meaning now u save on battery power ...........and dont forget one thing this r ultra portable so it is obvious u will have to sacrifice something to attain a smaller size .........

T-Mobile customers that have pre-ordered the HTC G1 may be in luck. It is sounding like the htc g1 could be arriving as early as this Friday the 17th. Several people have reported that their orders have already been shipped and are scheduled for delivery this Friday. Crazy. That would put delivery of the device a full 5 days ahead of schedule. by the way which vesion of pc suite are u using....... u can try deleting wdf01000.sys from win/sys32 or else just try using the newer version of pc suite

in order to set up ur intenet connection its very simple....go through the thread there have been a entire procedure posted ......if u still have trouble following it let us know yup here r the settings for gmail...mind u its "push" as in it supports imap idle You need to configure Gmail to allow IMAP. Within Gmail on the computer screen, click on “Settings” then the “Forwarding and POP / IMAP” tab. Then click on “Enable IMAP”. (NOTE: if you don’t see this yet, then try logging out and then into your Gmail account. Sometimes this will do the trick. If you still don’t see this, then wait a bit longer …) Within Chatter on your Treo, pull down the top menu and select “New Account” In the “Quick Setup” window, under “Choose the account type …” drop-down menu, select “Generic IMAP Account” You’ll be taken to “Account Definition.” Under the “Define” tab, fill in the following. Name: (type in a nickname for this account); IMAP Server: (type “imap.gmail.com”); Login Name: (type your email address including the “@” — i.e., “name@gmail.com”. If you have a Google App account, use the account domain name and email — i.e., “name@othername.com”); Password: (type your Gmail password) Under the “Deliver” tab, make sure the following boxes are checked: “Sync Messages”, “Keep Flags Synced”, and “Use SSL”. es u can install applicatons in yoyr phone memory and certain applications will require u to install n ur phone memory well ur phone interface is divided into several pages like mian\all\utilities\multimedia\system\card u can put your applications in any of these pages by pressing the menu key> category and if u want to put ur applications into a folder u can use an application called tealscan ...u will find it in the thread but for that u will require memory card well u wont b requiring the applications u mentioned except for ringo but u wont b able to delte some but i think u can use tealscan u remove the lock on those applications and delete them

How long does it take to synchronize the address book... coz im trying since an hour but still it shows its hapning.... sometime i feel its hanged.... How do i download music and games on to my Treo??? how do i check my emails frm it?? do i need to subsribe to some mail account?? i have Hathway in my office can i log on through that??? The ringer volume is v. low is there a way to increase that?? do help me out... friends.... Kets to synchronize he address book just use the outlook method as dhiraj suggested ...even i did the same n it took me just few mins secondly just use the card reader function of ur phone u to usb transfer of songs into your device....play it using p tunes ...u will find the latest version of ptunes dluxe in this thread to watch videos/movies on ur treo use coreplayer and directly transfer ur video to memory card no need to convert coreplayer will play any video file for you without any conversion ... u will also find it in thread to download games or applications its very simple.....use the palm quick install and drag and drop ur application depending upon where u want to install it ( on phone memory or memeory card) and simply on next hotsync all ur softwares will b installed without any hassles u can even copy prc files to your memory card directly n install from there like in many other phones but the best way wud b to hotsync to get push email u can use snappermail or chatter email.....u will find them in the thread i u want i can give u settings of chatter email and u can also use microsoft exchange server if u have configured one in ur office to increase the volume of ur ringer/speaker/mic/headset.....use volume care volume_care_solved.rar

just read about this phone 2 days back.......this phone is a concept phone by nokia for their eco system freindly lineup which they r planning to launch in sometime future........its a prototype so dont expect it to come to the market for the masses nokia is still working on this kind of devices and this concept phone is one more addition to their prototypes
