bro as i said your treo is capable of doing everything witha little help from 3rd party support well u can use chatter email n if u r using gmail with imap idle protocol ( yahoo n hotmail not supported as they coem with pop3 access) then u can have your emails retirieved to you u just like in push email if u want i can give you the settings

dude why dont you try going to a nokia service center if the display goes off it could b due to two reasons 1) most common reason on slider phones is bcoz of continues wear n tear from sliding the device the connector ribbon comes loose n causes the display to go off 2) it could b due to corrupt files in the symbian databse flashing the phone with rom could solve the issue ( i had the same problem with my n72 the display went off but the the hardware was proper flashing solved the issue) whatever first just go to a NSC n see

well even i have been experiencing the same things what dhiraj is saying .....though i wanted to keep myself out of this but since this thread has been opened i would just like to give one view i m an active member of many gsm sites, 'mobile guru' for symbian freak and also have my own blog ....one thing i found which i liked on this forum was the open nature which also made me an active member here now i know there r certain things which r "illegal" (like unlocking posting cracks n all) but then v also have no option y wud u use crap from rim when u cud get powerful device unlocked also y wud u pay a bomb for an application when u cud get it for free ( for others they might not b costly but for us indians it is ) i know this might start a new dbate so just let it b also as i have been with other forums i wud expect more from a moderator rather than just arguing or putting the last word in ( this r just my views plz excuse me i dont intend to hurt anyone its just that i m liking this forum n i wud want it to b in likes of other highly reputed forum whatever guys peace n lets make our community even more helpful to those overlooked by rim or tata

DO i need to add more ..................dude few mnths back even i was thinking about this outdated handset p3000 (was tired waithing for a decent handset from reliance so jus gave up )until i came across this site n saved my self by buying a treo755p since a year i was wondering whether treo could work on reliance n to my surprise i got to this site n found out members using this awesum handset i would recommend anyone to go with this handset....very well built ...very sturdy if u r cumin from nokia .....very stable os as compared to win mo n also this device is capable of a lot many things using 3rd party u cud do almost eveything on it.....install lot of things still the os handles everything with gr8 speed n stability. even htc mogul is a gr8 buy but i dont like the sluggishness n unstability of win mo as compared to palm os ....u wud save so much of your $$$$$ buying this no matter whatever u buy plz stay away from htc p3000...u r now a rim webian n v deserve better than p3000

as far as i know there r still no tentative dates available n it makes no sense to follow these tentative dates coz DOT is actually going at a very sluggish rate for development of 3g.i dont think v would have anything going full fledged b4 late 2009 or early 2010 when other nations would b testing LTE ( 4G)

thats what their copyright protection is not hack proof i m using symbian series 60 n i have fully hacked my phone i have now access to all hidden files n folders n i can share or add anything in these folders using this access n overcoming this copyright protection i have been able to go a step further in customising my phone now on start up i no longer have boring nokia logo or nokia sound i have put my own custom logo n custom start up sound n besides y would one like to put copyright protection on their own files

i second to kshah ......if ur buisness demnads immeddiate retrieval n reply to your emails then opt for bb service what i want to say here is their no need to purchase a blackberry for bb servicce there r a lot of handsets which can give you bb service......vodafone provides you with bb service.u can opt for nokia e series devices( n71 doesnt support bb service) which r much better overall than blackberry n give you other features also besides buisness features. also there r a lot of devices from nokia that support bb service u can google it also u can go with newer e series devices like e71 or e66 they come with nokia's email services which also works good for gmail also vodafone provides you with their own email services through seven .they charge something like 250 a mnth rental n sum 30 mb of data free u can check with them on their plans .so in this case you can use any handset which supports imap protocol so basically you first decide which emailing service wud you like to go with n then decide the handset ( i have an iphone i m using pull email .i have set my yahoo a/c to pull my emails every 15 mins so i get all my emails with attachments which i can view easily) so iwould just suggest you that if email is your priority while buying a handset then you first choose an emailing service or whether u like pull emails and then select handset( then decide whether u like win mo or palm or some simpler device).

46k thats too much for a phone.............i have been following this phone since last two mnths when it was first announced this phone is available for around 800usd ( with taxes) elsewhere.....i dont know how reliable is tech2 as far as pricing is concerned coz 46k is way too mush even balckberry bold which is one of the most costliest handsets comes for 36k n if it is actually true then who the hell will buy the phone i have read reviews of this phone n it is not that gr8 comparitively except for 8mp module

guys whosoever having problems with opera mini crashing just try opera mini 4.1 versoin it much better than previous betas . (m typing this post from my treo using oprea mni) also people who r new to palm os n wanting to install oprea mini just remeber to install jvm ( java ). (currently m trying to test some games i have have in .jar form which i have converted it to .prc )

i know it states on the website but bro its not there u can go n pick up any n78 made for generic version of india n you will find this feature disabled also as far as voiding warranty is concerned its simple after u load your n78 with a non indian firmware just use nemesis again n change your product code to indian one i have been changing my prodct codes since a very long time to get firmware upgrades( it takes a very long time for indian codes to get an update)what i do is after i update my device i use nemesis n change back my product code to indian version so if need arises i get my warranty to give you an example i had purchsed n958gb from here i changed ts product code to euro1 to get an update and after my update i changed it back to my original code all with the help of nemesis...just recently my screen went bad but i had 4 mnths warranty left n i had already put back my original product code before so i got my phone repaired uder warranty nmo probs whatsoever

guys first of all fm transmitter is there on all generic versions of n78 now the catch is dat in some countries goverment has banned this feature which includes india also so the problem is though d necessary hardware is there but nokia have deactivated by using certain registery modifications in generic models made for india so ifu buy one in india u wont b able to use the fm transmitter functoin .but there r two ways of getting this feature 1. either purchase this phone from outside india 2.u can use nemesis suite change your product code to some other apac country n reupdate the firmware on your phone .this makes the updater insatll non indian frimware version on your phone so that fm tranmitter is not deactivated and u would have this feature running again i know this bcoz i wite reviews for nokia phones n i have played with a n78 so i know this also u cangoogle it and see that fm tranmitter funtion is disabled for indian models

dude what does indian government approval of reputed chinese brands have to do with FCC they r completly differnt bodies .FCC has its own criteria of approval which they have refused to approve chinese handsets neways seems no end to this topic regards n once agin no hard feeligs

AGREED LG N SAMSUNG r up for n ikiller but lets not forget they have had done a lot of innovations also also if u remeber lg along with prada was the first phone to b mass marketed having a capacitance touch screen similar to that of iphone also lg brought up 120fps recording in their viewty n my dear frend for samsung i wud jus say their r&d runs all big brands .all big players use thier nand flash memories their processors n so on.So again I wud repeat dont say as if the R&D of this reputed chinese manufacturers have anything to do with innovation in tech world Regards

First of all is phone is not a highendphone And secondly who said only high hand phones have 3G.Today 3G feature has come to mid range phones n also appearing in low end devices So by your logic if highend users wud afford it (I disagree on this) so what about the mid to lower end users who constiture more than 70% of mobile users. Wont it b costlier for them Anyways seems v r going off topic

@sadik i very well agree with u bro some people will never accept your point of view well eveni m out off dis arguement as those who r using china models will never accept how bad they r ...they will find ways to justify their buy for china mobiles no matter how dissatisfied they r with it ,after a certain period of time, also i accept the fact that there r also many other reputed handset manufacturers like zte/classic/meizu...but who said they have r&d ...guys they just refurbish phones n sell them in their own package ....just name one feature or one factor that they have given to mobile world they just pick up features from big players innovation( B IT CAMERA MODULES ,RADIO CHIPS,PROCESSORS) repackage them according to customers need n sell it.EVEN THE MEIZU M8 HAS COPIED IPHONE TO THE MAXIMUM.THIS IS NOT CALLED R&D . R&D IS WHAT NOKIA DID WHEN THEY GAVE N95,IT IS WHAT SAMSUNG DID WHEN THEY CAME UP WITH INNOV8........N DO I HAVE TO MENTION IPHONE???????
