Lg Kp500 - The Most Affordable Touch Phone
Mufaddal replied to Mufaddal's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
well i dont think v wud b having full fledged 3g b4 2010. so i dont think so it is not worth to invest in 3g less handsets . also consider this that data on gsm is very costly as compared to cdma atleast here in india ...and looking at the way 3g data is charged around the world when 3g wud b launched in india it will b very costly so now u think how many people wud use it . i have a frend who iworks in the technical dept n vodafone ...though they have started testing 3g he told me its still a very long way to go -

dude it is not me who is saying it is affordable .....it is the source who is saying it ( gsmarena) also it is a marketing line used by LG when they announced it also dont take the line literally....when lg announced this handset they announced it as a " most affordable phone" meaning in their touch phones line up this will b d cheapest .......which means it will still b sumwhere above 15k -
Updated: Htc Dream! Google Selling Unlocked G1 Phones In India !
Mufaddal replied to Honest's topic in HTC
SAMSUNG AND LG TO COME UP WITH THEIR ANDROID DEVICES Now that HTC has blazed the trail for manufacturers to give Google’s Android platform a go, but apparently T-Mobile’s G1 was “short of expectations” and the odds of LG or Samsung releasing their own Android handsets before the second half of 2009 are slim, according to Mirae Asset Securities. Even though Motorola and Nokia might be getting fresh with Android, clearly other manufacturers, including Sony Ericsson, remain hesitant to throw their chips in with the new kid on the block. It’s hard to read their intentions at this point - it sounds as if it’s fairly certain everyone will make an Android phone sooner or later, but want to let the G1 chew through the kinks first. Mirae Asset Securities says many advertisers remain unconvinced by Google’s proposed application-centric revenue model, which isn’t entirely uncalled for. Apple’s the only one who has successfully pulled off a prepackaged software store to noticeable success, but we still haven’t seen how all of that developer excitement will be delivered to the end-users front door. If the G1 can pull it off, hopefully these other manufacturers will warm up a bit. [via unwired view] -

^^^ Dear Mufaddal Sahab, is it a CRIME to hope anything for better. I don't think so at all. ^^^ No, sir, its not a war like situation at all. We all are friends here. The matter here is that the members are not agree with each other's views. And there's is no harm if a debate goes on in a HEALTHY MANNER. ^^^ Point noted my dear Dhiraj. Regards. i dont think so its a crime to hope for more .......so keep hoping my dear freind for that day to arrive.]by d way which handsets r u using ...r u sing a chinese model????????? -

dear kamal seems as if ur hopes r too high wit china mobile manufacturers well i yet to c sumthing top notch coming from them n d simplest logic isall big companies r investing so much in r&d i have never heard of r&d in these phones n by d way wat will china phones have r&d forr???????? cloning i have never seen a china phone going for beta testing or any china phone passing any cellular authority ( like ICA OR FCC) FIRST LET THESE THINGS HAPPEN THEN THINK ABOUT R&D watever i think dis post is bcomin more of a war zone between china phone users and branded phone users -

^^^ My dear Sadik Bhai, I think they had already started dominating the mobile market in India. And thats good also. Let these biggies have a tough competition with them. Its their choice my dear friend. We can't stop them if they are happy with Chinese handsets. Instead we hope that some of the reputed Chinese Handset manufacturers should come with the latest technologies in the near future which could surely challenge these biggies like Nokia. You are right here my dear Sadik bhai. Some ringtones are really irritating sometimes. But again it depends upon the type of ringtone a user has assigned on his handset. Otherwise many chinese handsets come with really great ringones and produce really melodeous sounds through inbuilt Woofers. If I was in your place, then I would never suggest anyone to buy nokia, instead suggest him to join our beloved RIMWEB and download some COOL RINGTONES from here. Actually these chinese manufacturers should provide better OS and UI. People won't mind paying some extra for even better features in these Chinese handsets. Regards. well i dont think this chinese manufacturers will ever come with any ground breaking technology ...the truth is they don have R&D and all they r foccused is to rip off branded devices first they need to stop cloning b4 they cum up with sumhing groundbreaking this is what even happened with meizu m8 , the only china phone which was considered grounbreaking ( it was announced when iphone was luanched ...it had similar dimensions n looks of iphone even the ui was resembling iphone but shockingly even d hardware was same though it was running on win mo and no it was not some clone but a well known legitimate win mo device) ) it was anticipaed iphone killer until it fell into legal issues for infringement of apple copyrights for using a ui similar to iphone so the bottomline is these chinese manufacturers r more bend towards cloning n refurbrihing ui of branded phones ...so as far as "ground breaking" thing is concerned it will always b associated with big players -

@ honest u misunderstood my post i dint say that anyone who doesnt wan2 spend money wud buy a chinese handset.i meant that majority of customers r not power users and when they go to buy phones they r pretty much tempted by what these chinese phones have to offer at that price they get all d features they wan at a very affordable price hey dont care about the os .... i myself have many frends using it infact somepeople have even bought them thinkin they were iphones or n95s at a very cheap price u talking about crorepatis using these phones i wud tell u so many of my own freinds who r extemely rich use it .,,,even if i tell them that it doesnt have a proper os they tell me that they don care for os they r gettin what they want at a very convenient price point so y buy nokia or sony i din mean that if u have money u shud go for high end handsets ,,,,,by mentality i meant majority of customers wud look into these handsets bcoz majority look for features n they get features for extemely cheap inthese handsets. i m saying this coz i have a lot of pople (believe me a lot ) around me using these phones on asking them y they made this purchase all of them gave me d same answer that v r gettin alll features at such economic price point so y to invest in nokia .( have three china phones lying at my place which my frend has given me to ebay) "Actually the highend branded costly handsets are only useful for those who are Tech Savvy, who can use nearly every feature of the highend mobiles." its nothing ike that u might b having a different reason of buying a china phone its just my opinion bro d ultimate choice is the end users choice -
Lg Kc780 8 Megapixel Slider In The Works
Mufaddal replied to @ksh@T's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
The LG KC780 8 megapixel cameraphone is now officially confirmed, as we managed to snatch a press photo of the upcoming slider. We don't have the specs of the KC780, but we know that it's being touted by LG as the slimmest 8 megapixel phone to-date. That means it has to be slimmer than 13.8mm to qualify and beat the Samsung M8800 Pixon. The LG KC780 made its first appearance last week in a blurry, under-the-shelf photo, but this time we have a nice pic for you to enjoy. We still don't know more details about the handset than we already had last time, but you know, a picture is worth a thousand words. And by the way, we also received word that LG will be announcing a new slim full touch handset tomorrow that promises to break the barrier of affordability. But more on when the time comes. The 8 megapixel slider LG KC780 should be able to offer quad-band GSM support and even limited touchscreen functionality - only in multimedia applications much like the lg secret. We can also expect 30fps video recording - but that of course is a no-brainer for LG cameraphones. via :gsmarena -

leading mobile games publisher Gameloft has announced support for the Android platform. According to the official release, they plan to develop more than 10 games for Google’s mobile platform. Bubble Bash will be the first games and will hit the G1 users during the Q1 2009. Commenting on the announcement, Gameloft’s CEO Michel Guillemot said: “The momentum and excitement for the Android has been building for some time. We plan to fully support this platform since it provides another great outlet for an enhanced gaming experience for consumers.” -

i do agree that today these china phones are offering alot more in the price range they fall in n infcat they have made d competition even stiffer also v need to understand d mentality of an average joe user ...they jus want more and more features in a phone but wnt to pay less for it and in dat case a chinese phone is what lures him( camera touchscreen loud peakers dvbh tv) also there r lot of genuine brands like zte, meizu who manufacture legitimate phones but one thing i cant stand is cloning the handset ,making it look like an exact replica of high end branded mobile and there r a hell lot of maufactures out there doing it ....cmon i mean how disgusting it is to see a chinese phone looking like n96 but of ****ty quality and those overloud speakers today ui cud see n95 and several nokia handsets which r cloned so extremely well dat by looking at it u cant make out the difference only way to know it wud b to see the ui of the phone thats where u wil spot it. but then as i said u need to understand d mentality so whatever u say good or bad people who dont wan2 spend lot of money they will seek for a china phone in fact even at one stage i was tempted to get a china phone but when i lifted in my hand d quality and the ui was so poor dat i jus gave it up -

and i waswaiting for this to happen .......bloggers have started comparing the almighty iphone with the so called iphone killer htc g1 android phone though i like both the devices in the fact that both of them have sumthin unique and out of this world to offer .....but it seems the blogosphere is very skeptical about the g1 beating the iphone here is an article i found at alleyinsider.com GPhone v/s iPhone: iPhone has a more polished, intuitive user interface - Google’s Android OS is powerful and looks attractive, but it’s a bit too Windows-like. Apple’s iPhone user interface is simpler, cleaner, and just makes more sense. iPhone has multi-touch - Pinching doesn’t work in Google Maps to zoom out on Google’s own phone. HTC and Google simply can’t have multi-touch. GPhone’s keyboard is nice but its not useful - Especially since one can’t access Exchange/BlackBerry email accounts. GPhone almost twice as thick as the iPhone? Apple’s App Store is a year ahead of Google’s - There are so many apps that we’ve downloaded, especially professionally produced games, and how much time we spend using them. There is no info about partnerships with any gaming company or other big gaming shops. Google’s Android App Store will be sparse at the beginning, and will take a while to fill out. Syncing the iPhone to your computer is a breeze - Music comes from iTunes, photos from iPhoto, etc. Google won’t have an iTunes-like desktop syncing app, and instead will sync up with Google’s various Internet-based services. Google’s GPhone comes with a tiny percentage of the memory, just 1 GB - iPhone comes with 8/16 GB. seems like the dirty comparison games have started ................ as far as i m concerned i still think the d real power of android is its sdk n dat will b d main domain where android should win over apple .......but then lets wait n watch what magic the 3rd party developers can do -

no more t mobile pre orders guys the g1 is creating d same stir as the iphone .....the t mobile pre orders for g1 has sold out in just 4 days "f you're a T-Mo customer and have been biding your time to pick up the HTC G1… You've already missed your chance, sorry! It looks like all available orders in the pre-order program have been filled. If you want one, you'll simply have to wait a bit longer, and head into a store around October 22 to pick one up. No details have been revealed yet on how many pre-orders they actually received. Somewhere around 60,000 units is the last rumor I heard. That would make up roughly 10% of the total sales they wanted to achieve before the end of the year. Note: It took roughly 4 days for the G1 pre-orders to sell out. Seems like a long time to me?" via :engadget
