wow didnt knew about this i think now only vodafone is the costliest in data tariffs btw i m changing my gsm no , to prepaid , this scheme makes me give airtel a second thought

@rahuja google navigation only works on donut and newer version works on eclair or roms having eclair mts so u shud have version 1.6 and upwards more preferrably 2.1

for people who are using licensed copy of cdma workshop just yesterday i got the notification that a new update is available cdma workshop has been updated from 3.4.5 to 3.5 its said to support spc reading of lot of new phones so get the update , and lets see whats new this time

^^^ dont panic u seem to be doing it for first time mobile5 is the boot screen first boot on any rom install takes a very long time , so just leave your phone as it is for few minutes and have patience after that second boot onwards it takes few secs only i repeat first boot takes a very long time with any rom so leave it as it is it will boot on its own

GOOGLE NAVIGATION ON HERO REQUIREMENTS a) ECLAIR rom , get alap2.1 rom from click here b ) rooted hero to enjoy google navigation 1) open command prompt 2) type cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools adb remount adb shell find /system /data -name \*google\*maps.apk\* -o -name Maps.apk -delete adb uninstall com.google.android.apps.maps this will remove stock google maps then simply install this patched google maps version 4 http://hotfile.com/d...069239/e032e4b/ ... -brut6.apk done enjoy google navigation turn by turn !!! if u dont want to remove stock google maps then just install the patched google maps , it will install by side of official app so in launcher u will see two google maps icon , one will be official one one will be patched one

its always better to do a clean wipe before loading new roms , just to avoid any unwanted troubles later

well the kernel does miss some portion of nexus one ram and that same has been discussed by android devs on xda also the desire rom might be tapping in gpu or somehwere else to get that additional ram just like the 10mb ram increase in G1 the os is capable of using it , but kernel is core of any os , if kernel is limited to use a portion of ram then os cant use it completely , and thats been pointed out that the kernel will be updated in next update to utilise full potential of ram as i said before also the performance of nexus isnt impaired by the missing ram as it still has plenty ram and there are not much 3D intensive apps on android who can expose this part neither it has sense ui its still fast i dont know why this discussion is creating such a great buzz lets see what next updates have to bring

people can share the cost of 108$ and select the dev whom they want to give cdma workshop , but be careful that u give email id of the dev while buying as cdma workshop registers that email id and in future change of hardware id u need to contact them through that hardware id to send u new license well my copy of cdma workshop was donated by one rimweb fellow to help me in R&D

there will never be high quality games like the ones u get on palm pre or iphone it will be basic java based games but still i appreciate their effort

if google launches n1 cdma in india it will be hell expensive , so its better its not launched

^^^ lol there is no haters club have an open prospective , everything has some shortcomings the kernel issue is a fact and as stated will be fixed though inspite of kernel thing still it runs fast i admire android as much as i do other os , and thats reason y i have magic , hero , motorola droid lying with me and will be getting nexus one cdma when it launches

webos is one of the most innovative and best os to come after iphone and android palm pre did everything out of box from day 1 what android does on 2.1 eclair it has awesome hardware , pre has omap 3430 running at 600mhz classified under arm v7 which is equivalent to qualcomms snapdragon 1ghz the webos os is intuitive and user experience is one of a kind , not to mention in just 9months palm rolled out 9 updates to webos and had lived upto its commitements , something that u dont see that often in todays world even on gaming front it leaves android /windows mobile/symbian far behind , any one who doubts this have a look at palm pre palying hd games synergy is awesome , its syncing capability are far better than other os , ask users who use palm pre to sync and the will tell u how much better it is to link all ur profiles and contacts one big criticsm was availibility of apps , but now app count is also increasing and now there are more than 3000 apps and patches and with public pdk going live this month there will be a huge surge of apps pouring in app catalogue as developers will just port apps from app store to app catalogue inspite of all this , webos fails to get recognition is deserves, and credit for all that goes to some poor marketing and business decision taken by palm over last yr , they didnt release it in more prominet markets in asia , kept it on sprint for a very long time rather than tying up with a gsm operator they kept webos to tehmselves rather than making it open source and giving it to other oem's like what google did , that would have turned tide in palms direction and secondly its difficult to crack it down for reliance , unlike htc ,which leaves a sour taste in those who were not able to get this phone on reliance but people who are using it , still like it for what it offers , many people i know use palm pre alongside with android due to all mishaps by palm , inspite of having webos , their stocks are rolling down , sales are not so great but a power user like me who changes phones more often, i still swear by my palm pre for what it offers

well if u are a dealer then its a must have it has its own advantages , in some phones especailly blackberries whereas its completely useless in some cases

from what i know it wil have a 1050mah battery its still in works and it doesnt seem to have sure press technology though palm pre is much more sleeker than this blackberry it reminds me of old bulky winmobile phones like xv 6600 / xda 2

well imei change on newer nokia and htc phones is very very difficult i get so many offers from people to change imei on htc and nokia , but i never entertain them just for educational purpose , imei change is easy on a blackberry / lg / iphone imei change on chinese crap is easiest and thats what most people can do

lol " khoda pahad nikla chuha" to disable meid of diamond why do u need cdma workshop ?? it can be easily done , infact very easily done all u need is an esn based radio @ashoksoft forget mate , it aint gonna work cdmaware people r one step ahead in this matter u missed one point before going online software cross checks ur hardware id with key the key is provided by cdma ware based on hardware id the alogrithm to calculate key from hardware id lies only with cdma ware only after cdma waorkshop checks ur key , then it goes online to check it again in databse its a two layer authentication to prevent hackers from gaining advantage remember cdma ware people r the ones who break into official servers and get off all illegitimate stuff and make their software , these russians know their job very well
