dont worry u r not the only one many have this problem firstly , even if ur AN tab has sprint thing still it shud work if ur UM username password is correct in my case my UM tab has my reliance parameters whereas my AN tab has different parameters stil it works check few things like , mip shud be simple ip else just use cdma workshop 2.7 and go to ppp tab and write ur reliance parameters UM tab is for ppp AN tab is for pap what we want is ppp for 1x

nope , its possibe that it might be missing radio thats coz baseband (radio) is same on version 1.29 as well as 1.56 which is 1.04.01.09.21 they havent upgraded the radio there r two versions of hero one with google tradmark on back cover and one which htc trademark on back cover both have different radio versions one who has upgraded to version 1.56 can downgrade to 1.29 there is a guide posted for the same on xda @sumit well just let me know somethings when u leave ur phone idle for long hrs of time does it gives an engage or switch off tone to the other caller until u restart phone if this happens then its a radio issue most probably one more thing that could work in ur case is a ##786# as it will completely wipe and reset the radio but it will have dire results first it will restore meid so u wll have to reprogramm the phone secondly u will have to use cdma workshop to feed ppp settings as qpst wont write it thats the last resort

if urs is gsm its shudnt be much of a problem

one who will use android or webos will forget windows mobile i like swift machines not sluggish beasts

i m not sure if sprint ruu has radio fimrware also

btw have u tried putting 1x modem on mogul has that worked for u

there r still lot of fake 500 n 1000 rs notes in circulation just few days back i saw a 500rs fake note they mostly put these fake notes in big bundles, which often escapes the attention of person counting it ....it only when u see it properly u can make out

EVDO authentication is different from 1x u need HDR /AAA parameters as well besides i highly doubt u can clone a evdo modem on htc mogul , i dont think it will be successful

well , its not even worth trying android on a windows mobile wth a resistive touch screen ui will be so poor

now the spoiler firstly this phone will never launch in india , so if u want to buy u can get one from ebay , so u dont have to wait for 6mnths secondly dont even think abt going for this phone it runs on same old sluggish windows 6.5 smarthphone edition one who has used webos or android will never go back to windows mobile htc hero is far better in terms of usability and ui

@sumit well the kind of problem u stated in ur last post makes me believe that there is some issue with radio of phone coz this same problem i faced on my palm pre , where after some hours of been idle it would come as switched off to my caller i solved this problem on pre by reflashing the radio several times , now its working perfectly without any issues ur problem certainly isnt related to tata or isnt related to rom , as if it was rom related problem it shud have been solved by now something is wrong with ur radio may be remember all phones r not same , some will work flawlessly whereas some will have issues ...

yes u can use ruim cards with 8830 some of them work well i even tried meid ruim cards of recrsc0099 series nd even they were read by 8830

lol very rightly said sadik people come running when they need help , aur help lene ke baad bhul jate hai i remember one instance still , i helped a known fellow member with his handset , after i tweaked it , i shipped it back to him , he paid me some amount for shipping , but that wasnt enough , so i paid the remaining amount from my pocket just so that he could get his handset at soonest and safely till today i havent recieved my balance amount from him , every time he used to tell me will pay in a week though money is no issue for me , that amount is petty for me , and i dont even ask him now but i now i wont give credit to any member i know after reading this he will say that he forgot ...lol anyways i think lets not rant yeh sab to chalta rehta hai , hamare sab ke saath kuch na kuch hote rehta hai We should do what we have been doing , help the community i like the changes made by arun so far i think if members have more suggestions abt sellers they can make it here "make hay while sun shines "
