i am getting one pixi from usa programming it is a gamble , but shud be done but it doesnt have wifi , plus u wont get all features of pre like 3d gaming , flash on pixi due to stripped down hardware rather palm pre is better choice

the main purpose of this thread is to change certain forum ploicies so that people start sharing stuff , leech less buying n selling is always going to be there , but there would also be sharing of knowledge i likes the suggestions given by DJ few posts back since more and more members r of same opinion i think its time to take a decision

^^^ nope we had this incidence just last week the RSN was reported as damaged ( i got it checked in their system) according to them damaged means blacklisted and hence will be removed from their system reliance people were not ready to reinstate the RSN under any circumstances , they said once its reported damaged/stolen its over then after writing a mail to the nodal officer , they reinstated RSN

i dont know weherever there are discussions like these , some people get into cat fights directly or indirectly but lets try to be on topic so that it doesnt loose its momentum on a side note @arun dont u think even the moderation needs to be reviewed most of mods over here are initial members of rimweb , hardly any late entrants also some of them are inactive now , or some come to this forum in spurts of 2 3mnths only a few mods are active now we need to change with time may be i should start a new topic abt this sorry for off topic querry , but since we are asking to change some policies of forum i want to know the suggestion of members abt this also

better use a hcc if u ask them to do by system , then ur old handset will be reported in their databse as damaged RSN it cant be used after that ( unless u write to nodal officer)

also u can do one thing use log collector when u get this error run log collector ( if u dont have get from market ) it will give clear picture u r not the only one there are many people who have faced this issue on several android handsets seems there is a bug with android messaging database

well from what i know this is not related to your programming coz if ur programming was incorrect u wudn be able to use it on tata the problem basically lies with the rom i have read several people on net reported this issue while using modaco rom so i would advise u to load some other rom ( non modaco ) and see also wipe ur device before installing a rom and dont do a backup ...start fresh

this should solve the issue do the backup of ur device ( not nandroid one) the go to settings--security--format ur device it should get over the error

one of my forum friend got a tp2 he send me the handset for programming so i had tp2 with me for almost a week believe me its one of the most sluggish wm phones i have seen plus everytime i used to use my fingers i always ended tapping wrong icon , and the response time was horrible infact even my freind who bought the tp2 was of same opinion , even he told me its very very sluggish its a brick , heavy , my hero felt so so lighter in front of it only thing i liked was the keyboard , the keys were spaced and quite big like calculator keys thats all i will never vouch for tp2 , as i didnt find it impressive enough i dont like sluggishness my palm pre felt so much faster and smoother than tp2 u can swtich between gsm and cdma by click of a button ,so thats not an issue the build qualiy is good buit tp2 failed to impress me

i hope this time something concrete is been done about these issues as more and more people of same opinion i came to this forum not to buy or to sell but to learn and share infact i joined this forum after buying treo755p from sadik , coz i was amazed by this forum i think many of ideas put by DJ are worth consideration by admin/moderation team leechers are part of any forum when u grow a crop weeds also grow along with them what we can do is tighten some rules and change our mindset ( sellers need to do this) , and we could see forum bloom with knowledge

its is sure that on OMH ruim u can activate EVDO thru samsung corby but r u sure that changing no from OMH to non sim based imported handset will still retain EVDO ?? has anyone tried this

its easy go to bb apps thread i had posted total video converter in that there is an option for bb 88xx 83xx convert ur videos with it and place it in ur memory card the view it in media on ur bb handsets

i agree with ur point but u see u r also going on same lines meaning u would like to come to TE only when u buy a new phone and after that vanish ( i m just giving my thought no pun intended) also lets agree to fact , most people with little technical knowledge still dont do it on their own after reading posts on TE they still pm or ask others members for help or to do it for them . ( i m not underestimating anyone , but this is what i see on forum ) .lol as long as i m there and other techies are there u think that will ever happen after all the help and troubleshooting i have given u for ur handsets ( remember ur half dead touch pro )

Thanks for the replies. This is bad news for me. Looks like I'll have to keep using my Nokia N95 for GPRS alongside a new Blackberry. I don't use GPRS much, so Rs 899 plan is an overkill for me. just use your gprs /edge on ur bb thru TCP and then use free puch mail clients

i dont know wht all steps will be taken but i suggest and insist on one thing retstart membership of TECHIE ENCLAVE remove all noobs let it be only for techies and devs otherwise it makes no sense making it an underground section , if half the forum is over there PS: it doesnt harm either to openly admit that there exists an underground section in this forum all forums have it and all forums ackownledge it other forums have simple policy , if u not a dev/aspiring techie/contributor u dont belong in DEV section @rimwebians lets stay on topic
