the email client is very very poor for non gmail services people who use yahoo ( lets accept there are still good no of people using it ) and hotmail will have hard time on hero

dude i m not calling ur post BS , i m calling the statistics and the original articles BS ( U havnt compiled u u have copy pasted from other sites , i m referring to them ) google fanboy?? i m not a fanboy of any os or phone , thats the reason why i use phones with diff os there are always some people who dont wanto to buy few devices , and they will do all sorts of findings and googling to get negative points abt that and then concile themselves for not buying product if u read blogs and other posts and think what u reading is accurate u need to rethink many blogs and news articles are influenced , i was a blogger myself and i know how companies coax u to write good/negative points what i am saying is that dont go on initial staitics just if sales figures are low doesnt mean its a flop phone iphone3gs and magic have lot of ad campaigning going on and lot of carrier subsidy as well all that factors matter a lot i give same advise to all , first use a handset then comment if its good or bad sitting in front of compuer screen and reading a site /blog wont give proper view and still if u say nexus one is bad , so be it who cares if people will like it they will buy it , if they hate it they wont

BS BS BS dont forget google hasnt spend millions of dollars in marketing campaign nor it has support from any carriers at present the phones are sold unlocked they arent sold with contract or carrier subsidy take all this factors into consideration b4 coming to a conclusion

if the handset u lost is ruim enabled then forget it u will never get it back , even if u have its esn /rsn

i m shifting from prepiad to postpaid and i will suscribe to windows data plan its best one i suppose at moment for android users the rworld plan will kill u , the NUC is just unacceptable

for postpaid users i think as mentioned earlier also it better to go with data plans which are offered by reliance for windows mobile users they should work on hero as well its for postpaid users though 95 /-Rs 200mb free is perfect for day to day usage on hero no NUC

^^^ its not coz of latest versions of qpst even old versions of qpst will give error u get this error coz some nvitems in chipset have permissions for read only , but those nv items are irrelevant as the ones we want to change take up new values when we press write thats y even after error , the changes u make are saved as far as imei goes qpst does support imei also for chipsets that are made by qualcomm which includes several gsm phones like lg viewty ku990 etc etc qualcomm makes dual band radio as well ( bb 8830, storm, tp2 etc) infact its lot better even than radio lab tool ...u know what i mean here TAC = first 6 digits of imei FAC = next 2 digits SNR = next 6 digits the last 15th digit is autocalculated by chipset

lol generic wars between windows mobile and android btw FYI i used both touch diamond as well as touch pro before coming to hero infact just only after getting my palm pre , htc diamond went in my closet and i never used it again i would anyday trade HTC diamond for HTC hero or PALM pre i have given up on windows mobile , its just too old and sluggish , now its high time microsoft needs to revamp its os windows 6.5 is nothing but a stupid gimmick to pacify angry windows mobile loyalists who are pissed off by microsofts sluggish progress in releasing windows mobile 7

rcom uses wap from what i know agps on nokia phones require non wap service so in short agps wont work on wap on nokia

dear when i say something , i do say it in all aspects in cdma there are lot of handsets to choose from and at dirt cheap rates too only thing is u shud know where to look at for these handsets sometimes u have to go out of the way to get things done as far as prices go in comparison with similarly featured gsm handsets , cdma handsets come far cheaply priced FYI i have given up buying gsm handsets and now only buy imported cdma phones coz i get the same handset in cdma at 1/2 to 1/3 of cost of what i get in gsm once again , sometimes u have to do things out of the way , u can know what that is by seeing what and how people use imported phones

yes use 348 u will need to put phone in diag mode for diag mode 1) download and install htc sync on ur pc 2) on phone dial ##3424# 3) connect phone to pc 4) slide open notification bar and press htc sync 5) it will say new hardware detected and ask for diag drivers 6) locate to driver folder and install drivers 7) go to device manager on pc and see which port your phone is connected to 8) open qpst go to qpst configurator 9) add ur com port to which phone is connected 10) now open service programming and press read from phone HTC Hero DIAG Drivers.rar
