shortcomings are few and mostly related to webos been in development its just like how android is rite now , its stable but needs more development same way even webos with 1.1 webos is stable but it needs more development and webos is been updated now on mnthly basis and now with hacking community on loose , there are more and more apps u can now also teether ur palm pre over usb , bluetooth and wifi this handset has far better multimedia than what htc offers overall good option to have this beauty

palm pre is an awesome phone , been using it myself its a good replacement to iphone and android

PIN blocking doesnt mean banned accounts by blocking it means registering it and not allowing it to be used by other operators thats been done by RIM to give networks exclusivity . When u use BIS ur PIN gets registered to a particular network , unless that networks makes the PIN free again to be used by other networks , u cant have BIS on other operators thats the whole point of having PIN number in first place this is in particular more pronounced among operators of same region eg i have bb8830 from sprint my PIN was free to be used as it was not used on sprint network , since i never had an account or had BIS ON SPRINT so i got BIS on vodafone , now my PIN is registered with them or best wait till TOUR comes out and take it to any other GSM operator besides reliance for BIS , u will know what i m saying

for voice and sms yes 100% we can unlock but BIS on gsm wont happen unless reliance releases its PIN .

i came to know this last mnth from a reliable source atleast its priced at 28k , i thought it wud be more than 35k this explains y they are slashing prices off on all previous bb models btw since its reliance handset BIS will work in cdma mode and PIN will be blocked by reliance

its easy even for an end user to do it only thing is that we first need an official evdo offering for handsets from operators

NAM CODE ??? u mean NAM parameters or spc to access and write nam parameters u will need to send spc type ##000000 + call button to feed AKEY i guess best option is to use cdma workshop

i can see image but i didnt like the theme

most of people including myself have experienced this problem

its simple just go to any file/image hosting site upload image get a link of that image and just copy paste that link by clicking insert image icon on forum i use FileAve.com

call recording not possible its possible only thru google voice , but that is for usa networks setup .

i have been telling this time and again unless u start getting evdo on handsets by reliance , forget abt evdo on imported handsets

1) i have been telling people who have asked me for palm pre to buy new non activated phones , aka virgin palm pre 2) if u have a pre activated phone , still its possible , but u will have to try over and over 3) if ur phone goes offline u need to use only the roms with modem bypass like xxrake 4) u shud never , never hard reset ur phone or upgrade to any official rom , or else ur original meid will be restored and ur phone will go offline 5) palm pre only accepts evdo prl on any network , it wont accept 1X PRL BUT EVDO PRL WORKS FINE FOR VOICE , SMS AND DATA , INFACT I FEEL ITS BETER THAN 1X INTERNATIONAL ROAMING PRL THAT WE ARE USING 6) i agree with kshah , palm pre is such kind of handset , which shows u new things everyday , so have patience with it , and dont go off limits , or modem will go off permanently 7) ur phone will go offline at some stage even if u r successful , it will go offline all this is from my own experience after playing with more than half a dozen pre s

there isnt much difference both are same handsets its just that reliance rom is underpowered as compared to sprint one the handsets otherwise are just the same reliance one would cost u 25k

u cannot sit across the table and talk peace see what response pakistan and china have been giving to our peace talks we have tried a lot to resolve these issues with peace talks but nothing has happened we need to step up and take military action against pakistan , its a big insult to our country considering the way in which we are sending evidence of 26\11 to pakistan and the way they are making fun of it i know war is never good option , innocent people die , and people who are in government continue their bakwas , but then do we have any other choice ?? the proxy war with pakistan will continue , they dont give a f**ck abt our peace talks unless we step up and take a stern military action against them . the biggest problem of india is corruption , from arms deal to military deployement everywhere there is corruption , no bloody neta thinks abt our soldiers and abt us , they know they are always safe in their z level security its the common man who is at risk i liked the eg of israel , when it was created it was been looked down by neighbouring arabic countries , they decided to wage a war and we all know the results , since then no one has dared to look down on israel as a weak nation the point is the proxy war will always continue , thats y its called proxy war , but atleast we need to teach cilprits a lesson rather than taking bull**** after bull**** from them , its an insult to our dignity and our nation these are just my views on situation whether china attacks or not i dont know , but i know one thing we shud step up and stop taking insults from other countries

reliance doesnt support MMS if u want value for ur money then go to ebay and buy phones like htc touch diamond or mogul and use it , u wont be disappointed if u want warranty then go for overpriced official reliance handsets

Fully agree........... plus buying from E Bay won't give u peace of mind simiar to buying on Rimweb. On rimweb, u knw the seller and the price is genuine too. Add to that, some sellers, like sadikk bhai, give u 3 months warranty. buying from ebay is always cheapest option and if u buy from a trusted and power seller u have total peace of mind , not to mention that u r fully covered with paypal i have dealt with many on ebay in last few mnths and some of them have been very very supportive and cooperative

@chintan cdma needs ESN FOR AUTHENTICATION ur current ESN in use is the ESN of non sim handset which is different from ESN on ur bb , thats y its not working hope u got my point
