Nokia is out with a new CDMA phone - 2228. The low-end device seems designed to help the Finnish giant grab some marketshare in the CDMA space, where traditionally Nokia doesn’t stack well. Being a low-end/entry-level device means there’s nothing to get too excited. The Nokia 2228 is a simple clamshell phone, sporting such features as a 1.3 megapixel camera, 128×160 pixels screen, music player, 2.5 mm universal headset jack, FM radio, and a neat LED indicator light that flashes with incoming calls or messages waiting. Size wise, the device measures 110×40x12 mm and has a weight of 72 grams. According to the official information, the Nokia 2228 is expected to launch in select CDMA markets in Q4 2008, meaning we could see it being introduced by the carriers anytime soon. [Via: slashphone]

^^^ if u r using relmobileworld then u will be charged only as per kbs u use so even if data is on u wont be charged unless u use kbs if u still wanna turn off data just put a shortcut of comm manager on ur screen and turn data on/off whenver u want
-
yes dr.gagan they are bit partial towards prepaid and u were not the only victim they do actiavte for few prepaid customers but i guess they dont want more cluttering of prepiad customers for BIS for foriegn handsets anyways what metters is that its working for u now
-
i can explain it see when u take ur bb to a different carrier for BIS they have to accept its pin number now in ur case u wanted BIS on airtel but they were not accepting ur PIN but when u went postapid they accepted ur PIN and hence BIS got actiavted on ur 8830 now even if u go prepaid still BIS will work coz the PIN of ur 8830 is already in airtel databse in short now ur PIN is registered with airtel so if u postapid or prepaid it wont matter
