well , i have an experience with these htc service centre guys if u take ur mogul , they wont tell u no they will take it and see if it could be repiared or not , at the most they might ask u where u bought it from ,but mostly they dont ask but be aware that most of these htc service centre guys are idiots and they dont even know how to repair phones properly , atleast thats the case here in mumbai but ur problem seems to be a display strip problem , so i guess the htc repiar centre shud do it for u , as its not that difficult to repair it

yes tanveer , the gps works very well , thanks to quick gps which downloads satellites data over internet ,the best part is it automatically downloads data when we active sync and when our internet is on , or anytime over rworld or wifi . the speed and accuracy of gps is much better than mogul .

^^^ touch pro is more compact and a bit lighter than mogul

also gsen might not work on many custom roms properly ( if they use different video drivers ) so in that case u can use a utility called as rotate screen to manually turn from potrait to landscape , helpful in typing sms using landscape keyboard with fingers just install cab file , then go to settings , menu and select rotate screen and it will appear in start menu then in any application just press start menu and u will see rotate screen , click to change orientation @ nitin if u have some good HD games/video player for diamond plz post it , i will also find some in meantime TMZ RotateScreen.cab

all phones have acclerometer ..but to use it u need proper dlls many custom roms dont have it until u install gsen u r on reliance rom , they have implemented it , but all phones dont have reliance rom on groove rom it is not there .

^^^ that depends from rom to rom if u using gsen then it shud do that for call recording use this it records sound from both sides of call , there is slight hiss ,but u can still hear both parties well u need to have a dialer with call recording option just install the cab file InCallRecording_Wavdev DLL.cab

diamond has built in accelerometer called gsensor but sadly by default it works only with few apps (browser, photos, teether) using an application called GSen , now the accelerometer can work with any app just start the app , when u tilt ur device ur orientation will also change from potrait to landscape play games in landscape using the acclerometer just like in iphone or type messages in landscape with onscreen qwerty which makes it more finger freindly to type also attaching need for speed undercover game with awesome graphics , it is accelerometer based , reminds me of iphone games gsen.zip Under_cover.cab

I would like to know which one of Mogul pr touch pro is better . definately touch pro is better . it has more ram, faster cpu, os optimistaions , 3d hardware, and gorgeous vga screen I have heard that Touch pro many calls are rejected as the reject button gets pressed in pocket. who said , accidental button press can happen with any phone .keep it in pouch Does touch pro has dedicated camera button as mogul no. Does touch pro has voice activated commands yes Is there separate wifi switch on touch pro as in mogul no, but u can have wifi toggle switch on ur screen! also htc touch pro and diamond are almost similar except that touch pro has memory expansion whereas diamond has 4gb fixed touch pro has qwerty touch pro has 512mb rom and diamond has 256 mb so u get 80mb phone memory in diamond and around 300mb phone memory in touch pro rest all is same so if u dont use qwerty and u need a more compact and light phone go for diamond .

Ur display looks to be gone bad If u can't get it done in delhi..send it to mumbai I know some people in mumbai who can repair the phone , and over here they don't charge for opening and looking at phone....I always turn to them when others or htc service centre can't repair phone

the cab file is been posted at several places on forum.... never devices like diamond and pro already come with this capability

cant make out anything from the photo u posted looks like water damage or screen damage to me from the pic i would suggest u to take better pics of the phone both when switched off and switched on if u u want help

treo 755 doesnt have gps chip but it is 911 capable like most phones in usa what that means is that it can use cell triangulation to locate position sadly sprint has locked this capability in its rom as treo755 can be used with sprint navigation only so forget gps in treo755

off course it will work in india coz its quadband

did u try putting ur sim card so see if its already unlocked if in case its locked u can run mfi multiloader tool to unlock it

the battery of touch diamond is 1360 mah and that of mogul is 1500mah but the battery life is very much comparable to that of mogul and touch the battery optimisations are better plus if u load mighty rom ( most of us here use mighty rom) u will get great battery life the battery life on touch diamond cdma is far better than gsm version which just s**ks

here is how i got my gizmo sip verified going to gizmo settings page , u can forward all ur gizmo calls to google talk or skype then on google voice when u feed ur gizmo sip it will give u a call on that to verify so ur verification call will get forwarded to gtalk or skype then just dial the verification code i had downloaded gizmo s/w on pc but somehow was not getting calls on it and neither cud make calls from it ( may be port issue by my isp) ..so wasnt able to verify it directly with gizmo dialer also check this link http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/941446/ now google voice is integrated with gizmo so u can directly call thru google voice straight from ur gizmo account

i had the same problem with mogul also ...i used to get the notification time and again but when i changed prl it reduced in frequency there is no cab fix for it. i have searched on xda and ppc geeks but cudnt find anything significant.

if it can work on mogul y wudnt it not work on htc touch which has 64mb more ram just go to ppc geeks and get rom of ur choice loading rom is very simple thru ruu

Is it going through to all numbers? I can send to Reliance/Tata(cdma) and idea. SMS to airtel,vodafone and tata docomo not going through. yes it is going thru tata , reliance , vodafone ,airtel make sure u use +91 before the number i send messages from my phone thru google voice

since past one week i m using google voice to send sms to out of india numbers as well as indian numbers all for free and best part is on G1 when i send an sms from phone it gives me an option to use google voice by default make the most of it rite now

i think its rom specific coz on groove rom its 160 also on sprint rom its 160 btw hows mighty rom ....i have downloaded version 4.7 but havent tried
