  3. Sony Ericsson Idou It seems that Sony Ericsson has revealed its new flagship Smartphone with the code name Idou a bit earlier than it was expected. The just leaked promo press materials show amazing device with great 16:9, 3.5" touchscreen and amazing 12.1-Megapixel camera supported with the Xenon flash The most importantly, the phone is rumoured to be based on the unspecified version of the Symbian OS and it is not quite clear if it will be based on some of the currently available platforms or it will be powered with the upcoming Symbian Foundation operating system that is supposed to be available in the second half of 2009 year. 12. Nokia unveiled its mobile application storefront and it’s called Ovi Store. Set to begin operating in May of this year, the new service is designed to go well beyond any other mobile application store on the market. Nokia’s trick is to offer users much more than applications and games, by including other content like images, podcasts, audiobooks, widgets and more through a single interface. In that sense, the Finnish giant will consolidate the best experiences from its existing content services including Download!, MOSH and WidSets to a single channel. But that’s not all. Unlike other content/application stores out there, Nokia said their Ovi Store will be the first social- and location-aware storefront. What this means is that you will receive different mobile content recommendations based on your and your friends’ preferences, and current location. This may sound spooky for the privacy advocates, but the whole thing is made to function in an opt-in manner, only if user activates social discovery “engine.” Beginning in March, content providers, developers and the existing Forum Nokia developer ecosystem can begin uploading their content at publish.ovi.com to be among first one to distribute their media through Nokia’s mobile store. The upcoming Nokia N97 will be the first device to include the pre-loaded Ovi Store client, while existing Nokia Series 40 and S60 users will have to download a dedicated application. Finally, to appeal to both end-users and operators, Nokia will allow two type of payments for the content - either using a credit card or through operator billing. Guess the latter model is designed to get more carriers on board.
  13. By deafult in nokia phones long press of "0" key opens up the default web browser . but now with this mod u can change that , u can open the application of your choice by pressing the "0" key instead of the browser . first to begin with u need a hacked phone with caps on using a file explorer like xplore u nedd to go to z:/ drive then go to this path z:\private\10202be9\101F8783.txt copy this txt file to your pc and open it . look for this line 0x6 int 268471609 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail in this line 268471609 is responsible for web browser starting up when u press "0" now if u r usng jbak task manger just open the application u want to use as a shortcut on "0"... in jbak task manager highlight that application and press task info in the task info read the uid id of that application for example if i want to set xplore as a shortcut for "0" the in jbak taskmanger in the task info it will show me the uid as 0xA0000BCD now open up the calculator in your desktop ( start/pragramms/acceessories/calculator) in that calculator check hex and type the uid of the application which in this case of xplore is 0xA0000BCD afer typing uid just check dec and it will give u decimal 2684357581 now feed this decimal in the line 0x6 int 268471609 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail and make it as 0x6 int 2684357581 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail now copy the modified Copy modified 101F8783.txt file to C:\private\10202be9\ folder Reboot phone now u can have any app as a shotcut y pressing "0" button this works for s60 phones tesetd on my n958gb

  15. Bb8830 Official 4.5 Os By Bell Mobility

well i just bought a bb8830 from sadikk ( not for me but to gift it to my gf ) .. though my encounter with the phone was only till the time i unlocked it ..but i wasnt much impressed with the phone . the built quality was nice as compared to most other phones ( better than mogul )...but still i found it to be too plasticky... in my opinion treo755 is well built over bb8830 . the quality of qwerty keys in treo is better than in 8830 other aspects of the phone were good like good speaker quality , loud ringer and good tactile feedback of its qwerty keys . nice crispy display .and overall a crowd puller . the gprs works fine if u use gsm connection by manually setting apn . u can atleast browse thru opera mini . and about the trackball ..its definately one of its kind ..makes navigation easier , but i still prefer dpad over it . anyways thanks saidkk for arranging it in such a short notice ...really appreciate that

  17. your phones touchscreen is resistive type ...so when u press it, it will go inward as it has to push against the sensor plate lying underneath to issue a command .. i dont know about rainbow colouration as i havent seen any on my treo ....but yes i have seen on my other phones .. still not sure whether u have defective screen or not . by the way how is the touchscreen functioning ???...does it register all your inputs ???.

  23. Want To Buy New Htc Handset - Need Recommendation
