the built quality is great of a blackberry and it is definately an attention seeker second thing if u have balckberry services then no doubt it is a great device ( provided someone pays for your monthly bills )

are u using windows vista or xp ...if u r on vista then u will need Windows Mobile Device Center for synchronisation also Under COMMUNICATIONS / USB to PC , uncheck the "Enable advanced network functionality" check box......and see if it works

by the way how much did u pay to get ur damaged screen repaired at htc service center ??? ur problem seems a bit strange , did u try connecting with other wifi networks ,also try loading a different rom , but if this is a hardware issue then there is no scope of repair

my dear freind i m not a spokesperson for anyone ...nor i advocate any one on the forum . i m responding to all querries since i have experience in troubleshooting these things ( i hope u remember the discussion v had in past over pm about your 8830 ) ...also does it matter if a queery refrred onto sadikk is replied by other members ??? also dont worry about gsm getting locked ...it wont get locked if u upgrade to reliance firmware or any other carrier firmware .... even if anyone who has brought 8830 from reliance or tata wants to unlock gsm can contact me ..it can be done easily with few clicks !!!!

yes it is safe ,,,there are many such services available ...even nokia ovi suite does online backups ... i just back up contacts /calendar /images....none of them have any sensitive information ..also thses info isnt visible to anyone else ..and everythin can be set to auto sync services like these are very handy especially in case of mobile thefts

dont think that all devices will have same range ..might be that wifi radio on mogul might no be having that mch range than wifi radio on a lappy...also in many laptops u get those antennas for wifi which aint there in phones

exactly gmail gives imap idle support ...i miss it in my yahoo mail a/c ..i have to satisfy myself with pull mail facility which i get on my yahoo a/c

u need to enable imap in settings in gmail ... imap idle works by client sending idle commands to the server is waiting for instructions. When new mail arrives at the server, it sends a response to the idle command letting the client know that new mail has arrived. u can use flexmail ....its one of the best imap idle clients for windows mobile i had already posted a full version of flexmail in the request sofware for windows mobile section http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?show...9144&st=465

well certain prc files leave copies in rom and other palm database even if u install them on memory card ...normally if u have few apps installed it wont be an issue but problem would arise when u have a lot of apps installed and u install and uninstall apps regularly at that point apps like these come in handy or else u would be stuck in reset loops ( from my and others experince)

lemme tell u guys that this email is nothing but utter BS even i had recievd it few mnths back firstly the imei number does give u info on where ur phone was assembled but the codes give are fake it is still not sure whether 7 and 8 digit signifies place of assembly and even if it does the codes mentioned are incorrect 01 refers to china/asia not finland my iphone shows 00 and it is assembled in china similarly my 5800 shows 02 and it is manufactured in finland secondly the code *3370# doesnt work on most nokia devices it works for older dkb devices like 3310

the earpiece problem is a hardware issue ...not a firmware one most of people who had bought this handset had faced this issue ...one can fix it himself also but one can void warranty in the process

well the first batch of nokia 5800 have earpiece problems ...the only way to get it sorted is to go to nokia care and get it fixed apart from that nokia has rolled out update for 5800 to fix this issue..just yesterday they have released version 11.0.009 update for 5800 u can try updating to version 11.0.008 using nsu or use phoenix to flash with version 11.0.009. also be very careful when installing themes and apps ..amke sure they have been tested for 5800 as many have ben known to brick your 5800 just upgarde your device to new version and most of your problems will get sorted

remove the audio gate s/w on your phone ...best option is do a hard reset and upgrade to version 1.08 i havent faced such issues with my treo755p ...but i had exact problem on my mogul which i resolved by updating the prl.... i too would advise u to upgrade to new international prl
