Well u can to for treo 755p it's one the most robust handsets I have seen it will fulfill all it requiremnets and in addition have some other features as well u can google it...also the build quality us better than nokia..only thing Is that u won't get any warranty if u r ok with it.

Yes by this method one can unlock tmobile g1 to any network .also there is one added advantage in this method since u flash device with dev phone 1 bootloader so there won't b any certificate limitations as it I'd meant to b for developers so it device remians very much hackable. ....it would b just like having jailbroken G1. Also this method requires root acess which google have disabled in their update so to get root acess one has to do a force upgrade using custom firmware file which retains the root access....so the only problem is that from next time one cant get updates over the air ..u will have to manually update ur device . Also I saw a few videos of this procedure it us quite simple and takes less than 5mins...the flashing procedure itself takes less than a minute

yes do a full backup using nv backup ....it backs up your cdma settings as well but i guess still ask someone who has already done it on their treo

very correct.....many people in US dont even know that nokia is a phone manufacturer...... to give an example last yr when i had gone to boston i was using my n95 on t mobile and one of my colleague in hosp asked me that which mobile is this...is it made by at&t .....and i had to tell him that this is nokia handset ...and he was just amazed with the features but he still cudnt believe that nokia makes handsets ...... this is the main reason why nokia is now psuhing its handsets hard into US territory to get some recognition in that part of the world

as per 3 rd quarter results of 2008 nokia has around 40% market share also win mob devices have fallen behind iphone in terms of market share,. For the first time Symbian has fallen bellow 50% market share possibly because of the rise in popularity of touch-screen devices though winmob 6.1 cant compete with either iphone or nokia....the user interface is just too dull and non user freindly as far as iphone goes it is beating nokia .......though nokia is a celphone giant with lots of devices in its portfolio but this is what is astonishing that apple with just one product the iphone , is making other companies go head over heels with their R&d and come up with sumthin that cud compete with iphone also abt nokia n97 though it is sort of nokia answer to iphone craze but let us also remember one thing that it will b launched in mid 2009 and by that time iphone3.0 will aslo come ...who knows it might having a qwerty keyboard believe me iphone is an innovation not revolution........it is the best thing ever happend to mobile world .....it started the craze for all touchscreen non stylus devices......and the power it packs under its hood is amazing ......it showed the world how imp user freindliness is for an os . also till today whatever full touchscreen devices i have seen it is difficult to type using the on screen keyboard but apple got it right their on screen keyborad with auto correction works flawleesly ....u can type very fast (thanks to capacitative screen) i love messagin from iphone coz it just too fast also lets not forget the revolutionary app store .....before app store how many cell phone manufactueres used to sell their apps like this ( nokia had download application features but it was just bull sh##t)...today google/microsoft all r just upto getting their applications store as far as n97 is concerned the early reviews have been out ....as usual nokia has used a resistive screen as compared to a capaciative of iphone.....also nokia used arm11 cpu clocked at 369 mhz with less 3d accleration clock rate ...whereas iphone runs on 624 mhz processor with power vbx engine .....the hardware of n97 is still no match for iphone except for qwerty keypad .... .i m blown by the capabilities of iphone it has replaced my psp is gaming area i love nokia devices and i know they have a gr8 r&d but i wish to see sum powerful device from them .....in 2008 all i saw was revamped n95s ( n96/n85/n82/n78/n79)....

its not cloned coz if it were cloned y wud some one use this cloned number to harass other people and in turn arouse suspicion in the minds of the owner of number ......infact he who has cloned his number wud use his number carefully without arousing any suspicion its is just that sum person who must b his frend/foe who has his number is using a voip service to call other numbers n placing his number in caller id so as to harass him .....or simply a bunch of people harassin him by creating this issue just as kamal said ....it cud b either of two possibilities i cant since this thing can b abused like anything ........

forget about hackers any novice person can do this......did u forget there is something called as VOIP uisng my laptop or desktop or for that matter any source of iinternet connectionu can call other numbers or message to other numbers using voip s/ws......in this softwares when u call a number u can display whatever caller id numbers u want ......not only that u can even message a number and u can set the senders number to whichever number u want .....it is childs play this is one of the reasons why calls thru voip r difficult to trace .....

well it would b officially available for indian developers....... but i dont see a point in buying this one as a locked g1 also comes for the same price or u can even get it cheaper if u have sum relative/friend in US who is due for an upgrade ...also there r offers goin on there at this time for unlocked version u have to first register urself as developer by paying 25$registration fees.....on the oher hand to get an unlock code for locked version requires 15$ only thing i see in this unlocked version is that the back panel has been nicely designed

if u r goin to manish market for the first time to buy china handsets be careful.......there r a lot of crooks there .....deal with them cautiously

nokia has the worst after sales service....... the best customer care or after sales service is given by apple......it is just amazing....direct product replacement without much hassles....had my ipod replaced twice when it was under warranty....i din even had to argue with them even samsung gives good after sales service

i dont think a solved version of bluepill is posted ..... y dont u try it for urself and let us know....... also somewhere on this thread or other threads on treo sms commander has been posted ......it is similar to bluepill but i guess its an evaluation copy not a solved one

why wud they care for cdma now....they r totally focussed on gsm and 3g.......with mnp most of their cdma customers are as it is goin to shift to gsm

if u r not looking for dual sims....and if u can shell out 10 k then treo 755p is the best buy .u wont regret it ........though u wont get warranty ( but none of us had problem either with this phone)
