The service centre guy tells me that the PCB has gone bad and needs to be replaced. He says there is no way of upgrading the software as the phone is not coming to the menu itself. But I wonder through software how can you corrupt the hardware, unless you do some destructive physical process..

I was trying to upload a ring tone using bitpim and the handset got rebooted. Now when the phone comes up I see only one line display which says "Re-entrant Data Abort". What do I do ??
