  1. Mp3 player perhaps? / Decoding/encoding Wavelets

Good work Deepu_vk, I downloaded the software and found that it does support encoding through the EVRC codec. How ever it does not allow encoding to TMC codec which is the video format used by Reliance. I did try encoding an audio only file and named it "audio00", uploaded it into "wavelet". When i tried playing, it gave me an error "Controller error. Disconnecting from server". This i figure is because reliance audio and video which we download only buffers the information. It may also includes the information for streaming the rest of the file from the server. That could be the "controller error" . However im gonna try few more things with it.

  10. Reliance Profits From Users Loss (4 new schemes)

Reliance Profits from Users Loss Shilpi Das April 22, 2004 Reliance Infocomm has launched four new schemes for its prepaid customers. The new scheme include the introduction of LG RD 2230 handset and lowering the price existing LG RD 2030, Moonlight LG RD 2130, Nokia 2280 models. The revised price lists for the existing handsets are Rs.2, 999 for Nokia 2280 handsets, Rs.3, 499 for LG RD 2030 and Rs.4, 499 for Moonlight LG RD 2130. The new LG RD 2230 phone is priced at Rs.3, 499. All these schemes will be available in 2-3 days. Although the prices of the existing handsets are lowered from Rs.6, 500 to the entry level price of Rs.2, 999, yet the hidden tactic behind the scheme draws a huge amount of profit in favour of the company and loss to the users. It is because earlier with Rs.6, 500, users got 20 prepaid coupons worth Rs.6, 480 free, thereby paying a surplus amount of Rs.20 only. But with this new launch the users are given only one free coupon worth Rs.324, which means that they have to actually pay a surplus amount of at least Rs.2, 675 (which may increase depending upon the choice of the handsets). Generally middle-class Indian users always go for the cheapest option available in the market. Identifying this trend, Reliance has developed a very clever marketing policy, which will lure users with the reduced amount of down payment money and simultaneously fetch a huge amount of profit for the company. // This article can be read online with graphics at http://www.techtree.com/techtree/jsp/shows...sp?storyid=5282 p r e t e n d e r \\

  12. Brew Development

Hi people, BREW (binary runtime environment for wirless platform) develepors have been quite busy lately. BREW SDK 3.0 for qualcomm chipsets has been officially released. With this SDK softwares like bitpim can be created, that can communicate with wireless platforms over the brew protocol. Application/games can also be created, But this might not be supported by reliance handsets. Might take some time to get to know things, but it can be done ... You can download the SDK at the following link https://brewx.qualcomm.com/brew/sdk/download.jsp you can login using "manoj-nair@indiatimes.com" or create a id. To be able to access this section, You must create a develepor id. Numerous tools/documentation for BREW development are also available at the site. I was however unable to download from this site. (but considering my mtnl dialup connection, im mostly unable to download anything frm any site mostly ) Chirag, you may wanna try out that link. Check if you are able to download. The BREW Application Development Documentation: https://brewx.qualcomm.com/brew/sdk/downloa...docs/appdevdocs BREW White Papers : http://brew.qualcomm.com/brew/en/about/white_papers.html
  13. Bitpim Sync Errors

  17. Software For Ringtones & Wallpapers

Hi bored, just trying to explain a few things here... The forrum does not allow you to post midi files as attachments... just rename it as dat. Plus that ing going kuvvv.... Static could it be because of that signature you are added in the converted mid file. Cause the problem seems to be in the end of the file. Thats where your signature is... You may wanna check it out. Also static, Best of luck on your exams!!! Hope you top the university.... Do well...
  18. Brew Development

Great. i was hoping for something like this. Static, i dont think he can post it somewhere cause its gonna be huge. unless of course on a server or web space or something like that... anyways vingan, please do put it up somewhere for download.
  19. Brew Development

Hmm... Seems its not my connection problem... Tried today again frm a friends house, Seems they provide licences to corporates to develeop using BREW. So if a company wants to use BREW, they need to licence their copy, then they can download the SDK. Strange, since its a open development platform, one would expect it to be free, like linux. Chirag, if we cant download the SDK, then the tools are no use. However you may wanna keep those. who knows... Just dont write it to a cd yet, cause if we dont get the SDK, you stand to lose a Cd.
  20. BIRTHDAY WISHES!

Wish you a belated, rocking birthday static ... Have fun ...

  25. Software For Ringtones & Wallpapers

Well anujit, why we still havent been able to hack into samsung model phones is quite simple. In the case with the LG phones, bitpim was able to communicate with the LG model, so we could extract the files, look at them, study how they worked, then the decoding process could begin. The point being that, in that case we had a "Point of reference". With samsung model phones we dont. If we find some software that will let us extract fles frm the samsung mode, then we can try finding which are the melody files and try to decode them. Also like chirag mentioned, none of us people have a samsung phone. In the mood for donations anyone? If someone can extract the files pls do and send them over.
