Great to see DOT and TRAI getting something right. Going by what is happening around the no portability and 3G guidelines, its a complete mess. Its amazing how these guidelines have been tweaked to benefit a particular CDMA mobile operator( READ: Anil Ambani's RELIANCE). Another deal behind the deal, Mr Amar Singh??

But its double posting.....the message first appears in english, and then is transliterated (not translated) to hindi. It really creates a lot of clutter in the chat window.I guess a better way would be to directly show the transliterated text, and not the english text that one types.

Google is already facing problems with the message delivery.Seems like their messages are getting stuck at the SMSCs. These group message services are really putting an overload on the operator's SMSC infrastructure. Services like MyToday and SMS gupshup already account to about 7-8% of the total message volume sent in India.Now add the big daddy - Google to it!!

I have been an airtel postpaid user now for over two years and I have seen various irregularities in the bill from time to time.Sometimes they would activate a pack that I never activated, or sometimes they would double charge. But the best part of Airtel atleast(if you can call it so) is that the CC is very prompt and you get a refund there and then on the call.So just examine the monthly bill carefully before doing the payment.The fact that it is very detailed also helps in finding out where exactly h ave you been billed.

I have tried and succeeded at that too. Only difference was that I really wanted to surrender my connection.So I got the discount first and disconnected after 2 weeks.

with falling voice revenues and now Local VOIP guidelines coming in, the voice charges for mobile operators will fall further.In this environment it will be very difficult for CDMA players to continue maintaining their benchmark ARPUs while paying huge royalties to Qualcomm. We are already seeing the effects of it with Reliance deciding to launch its GSM services all over India.

Thanks for the link Anupe. I have tried various such services to no avail.I have also registered with seven and have got it running on my phone. The gmail mailbox was configured right, and I got my mails on the phone(headers). I will monitor the GPRS usage though for today and see how well it goes.

@mailarchis Hey what is the latest on the application? And does it come only in symbian versions? I have a java enabled phone, do tell me if you have a java version for zozoc.
