The video quality on the 6255 is pretty awesome! Probably because of better streaming feed capability of the phone. But certainly not worth 15 bucks! *@#!$ Ambanis!

Talk about a really rockin party!! :'( Can I come, please please please!
-
Vishal, Cracker: Thanks for your help guys but... Vishal - those are low quality MP3s that I've already downloaded and found that they arent any good (16 & 20 kbps) Cracker - couldnt find the songs there man.

So Amit, dude, what you're saying is that you bought all the handsets one after another because the of signal problems! Anil A needs more men like you. As for my experience the 6255 has pretty decent recption no better or worse than my previous Samsung 563. But with a better battery life. So I'd say in these terms the 6255 is a good phone.

Sending Mails From Outlook Express
anujit replied to rkrishna39's topic in General Technical Discussion
Cracker: As I said "no WORTHWHILE" ISP allows 3rd party mail forwarding because thats the way SPAM propagates and this is a standard security measure that almost all ISPs are implementing to prevent their systems being used as relays for spammers. Also you run the risk (of sooner or later) being tossed into a JUNK MAIL filter because of that this. Of course you could get caught a junk mail filter for using your own SMTP server too. -
Thanks Gids, I got their number. Apparently only 1 place in Pune fixes Nokia S/W problems. So I'll be dropping over there this coming weekend hopefully.

Sending Mails From Outlook Express
anujit replied to rkrishna39's topic in General Technical Discussion
That wont work for 2 reasons: 1. Your gmail server settings are wrong. SMTP works on port 425 or something not 25. 2. No (worthwhile) mail service provider allows 3rd party forwarding. ------ So your best bet is to install a SMTP server on your computer. There are tons of easy to use free ones on the internet. Or you can use IIS that comes with Windows 2k & above. -
Nope. Doesn't work. Cracker: Its probably blocked. Or restricted at least. Certainly cannot ping it. We need some other way. Maybe through a 3rd party webserver or something!!!

Or hacked at our end Mukul!

Its in limited beta... which means a smaller number of guinea pigs are doing for free what M$ would have to actually pay $50/hr to testers to do. While others salivate in anticipation of being one such privileged guinea pig. The link has screenshots and all. http://www.neowin.net/comments.php?id=29718&category=main BTW even Yahoo is beta testing an Outlook type webmail right now and thats expected to launch soon.

Dell Latitude Cpx Laptop - Help Needed
anujit replied to SexyGurl's topic in General Technical Discussion
I think theres something wrong with your ROM or your motherboard (sorry dude)! :'( -
As a temp fix in 1.0.6 Mozilla recommended disabling IDN (network.enableidn=False). I installed 1.0.7 over 1.0.6 and the thing was still turned disabled --- probably by using existig settings. Should I enable again?

Dell Latitude Cpx Laptop - Help Needed

Is your floppy drive working? Then you can make a Win98 boot disk and start up from there..... Although I suspect you problems are far beyond this! -
Be careful though, if its anything like the monsoon offer.... you could end up getting Rs.25,000+ bills for coughing on the roads!!!
-
Nitro: Where did you take the phone? Is Nokia Care different from a Priority dealer? Where can I find them in Pune? And what did you tell them to get it replaced? And is the new one must be causing the same problems because the firmware is the same. This problem is faced by Telecom NZ users too! And reported several times there!
-
Oh. And it cant be just any porn. It must be properly catogorised and cross indexed too!!! Of courses users of the 6255 would see far far better video quality! As compared to the older phones which just displays gifs one after another or so it seems. The 6255 does have far far far better audio streaming. I better stop now before Vishal snippets this off to the 6255 section!

I would like.......... PORN!!!!
-
Theorotically we can use it if we know some web/wap server address. Which will allow us to connect to it. Of course it might require authentication (either from the phone or the server or both which would screw things up). Tried with VSNL's webservers. It didn't work!
-
Huh? Rajan? What did ya say???? No I'm cool no feelings hurt (can't even remember what you wrote)!!!

Mine reboots because I had a "bad write" in the collections folder. I can't delete the offending app from MobiMB either!

Pankaj: They probably stopped it expecting another thousand-crore-fine. But they're sure to restart it now. Trai has ruled in their favour. So DAPO can enjoy 40P calls!
