Credit Limit On Reliance Postpaid Subscribers
anujit replied to bellamkonda's topic in Reliance Communications
I get a lot of messages from them asking me to cough up some money (apparently because my usage is high). Boo hoo! I ignore those warnings totally. And so should the rest of you. Reason - if you're a defaulter anyways... you wouldnt care about the warnings. Only honest people would be hassled into paying some interim amount... but they were going to pay this anyways in their normal billing cycle! So why hassle (honest) people! And why should you pay without being shown a bill anyways! -
Are you guys going to start a counter here just like on the Google site? Of course its increasing (albiet at a very slow rate but thats expected)... next post should be when someone calculates the speed of increase and how quickly we shall reach 3 GB!

The question isnt really with price with quality of service and claimed speeds vs. actual speeds. You need someone to actually use these ISPs to know what kind of downtime they have. What is the actual speed during peak/nonpeak hours, service support, etc.

Personnally I'd be very happy if someone could permanently block my MSN Messenger and all the flawed dlls it carries!

Since when did ISO 9001 = error free!!! Not to mention ZERO ERROR FREE!!!! ISO = document processes that can be repeated not error free billing! So if they keep repeating all their bungling they still confirm to ISO standards.

Help Regarding Outlook Settings For Sancharnet
anujit replied to rbdhoot's topic in General Technical Discussion
Use a SMTP client. If you're on Win2k or above then the simplest and best solution is installing the SMTP engine that comes with IIS. Once you've installed it, there is no configuring you need to do. Just set your outgoing mail server address in your email acount to "localhost" without the quotes. -
They obviously just want you to download stuff to your phone... not use it as a modem like RIM.
-
They have a number of "announcements" in the pipeline. Sadly its all getting delayed to a number of reasons. Family feud would be top amongst them because of the importance Infocom has got in the barganing. But we can look forward to broadband, evdo, dual mode (cdma & gsm compatible) handsets and hopefully handsets that wont burn your fingers if you talk to long on it!
-
Yes and clear your phone cache regularly too... somethings it just pulls things up from there!
-
Most importantly... is it a legal copy?
-
Yes we would like to see them do well. But their corporate fundamentals is of lying stealing and cheating... either from the public or the government!

Has anyone being using ricmail? I am facing plenty of problems customising it. Whenever I try to save my preferences either it gives me an error. This makes me doubt their quality of service (as usual) and makes me aprehensive about using this service. However on the bright side they do seem to have the right options (address book import/export, mail forwarding, groups, message lists etc). And a few lousy ones - apparently they will DELETE your mails after a month - what the f#%k is their problem as long as I dont cross the 10 MB limit? And no spam or antivirus guard!

Friday February 18 2005 00:00 IST UNI HYDERABAD: A gang involved in cloning of mobile phones with CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) technology were nabbed by the police here on Thursday. In all, eight persons including two main accused Shaik Mujeeb Quershi (30), a CD shop owner and Mohd Faiz (30), mobile technician were arrested. South zone deputy commissioner of police Mahesh Bhagwat said that the accused Mujeeb and Fiaz were involved in cloning of Reliance, LG cell phones with the help of LG software and data cable cord acquired through illegal means. Their modus operandi was to get ESN (Electronic Serial Numbers) of Tata Tele Services from cell phone technicians market along with Mobile Identification Number (MIN), and activate old Reliance LG phones by deleting the existing Reliance data of LG mobile phones and replacing it with the new ESN of Tata mobile phones obtained by various means from the mobile phones of customers, who give their cell phones for repairing purpose. At a time about seven to ten mobile phones would function on a single Tata Mobitel or WLL phone causing enormous loss to the genuine subscriber and also to the CDMA operators, (Tata Tele Services), he explained. Mr Bhagwat said that Mujeeb acquired cloning software through a Mumbai-based friend Sunil. He said Mujeeb, who clones the cell phones generally at cyber cafes, cloned 25 mobile phones and gave to different persons. From his the police seized LG CDMA software disc and data cord from him. Another arrested, Faiz cloned about 100 mobile phones. These two accused were using others to sell the mobile phones. During the investigation it came to light that a market in the city has become a hub of activity for utilizing the software for cloning of CDMA mobiles. Some of the important accused involved in the racket are still absconding. Efforts are on to nab them, he added.

THEY'VE REMOVED THE WEBMAIL OPTION FROM RWORLD!!!! Something to do with RWorld becoming paid (probably)!!!!
-
4096 colours. 16 polyphony. Why would you care about the price?

BSNL has snipped the cord with RIM (probably because of non-payment of ADC fines). So I can't make/receive calls to/from BSNL (landlines or mobile) for the last 2 days in Kolkata! Strangely enough I can dial BSNL number in Mumbai!!!
-
The "mystery" has been solved (apparently). Calcutta Telephone personnel are on strike and they have severed connections to all non-BSNL phones between 10am-5pm since yesterday! However Airtel & Tata Indicom continues to enjoy services even today (this is the 2nd day of the strike)! Lousy b@$t@rd$!
-
What do you mean PIN? Are you referring to the secuirty code? In which case bitpim wont work. I suggest you take it to the samsung shop!
-
Yes I got the SMS too! I'm a DAPO murgi on the freedom plan!
-
Nokia said handset prices will come down by 0.5 - 1%. Not worth waiting for. Of course there might be some RIM anniversary special offers!
-
I would but I dont qualify as senior management yet!
-
Well intereconnect (especially for sms & value added services) and poor signal quality still continue to be a major problem for RIM users.... not to mention how difficult is to get through to RIM users from BSNL landlines!
-
Well BSNL offers cheaper rates than everyone else. And compare speed differences 4 KBps vs. 14 KBps! Of course you get 4 on Hutch & Co. I have no idea how fast things are on BSNL or their quality of service. But judging from their voice services I don't think it will be quite good. All said R Connect is still quite pricey. They should get the price to around Rs. 500-600 for unlimited!
