Incoming calls on some Android phones using Reliance CDMA shows 0091xxxxxxxxxx, which the phone contacts may not recognise preventing outgoing calls in this format. I have devised a build.prop tweak which will revert back to 0xxxxxxxxxx number format with ease. Remember, always backup your build.prop before tweaking so we can switch it back when in trouble. 1. Using root explorer, from root file system locate the 'system' folder 2. go to build.prop and long press select open in text editor 3. opened, got to the line #ro.config.hwft_MatchNum=____ change from whatever to 7 ( RCDMA only accepts 7) #ro.config.hwft_MatchNumShort=____ Change from whatever to 7 more CDMA build.prop tweaks will be continued........

Purely depends on rom kitchen. SystemUI.apk and services.jar are modified for this mod. If you want 1x/3g icon on Evo 3d, use viper rom. I required this mod on Evo LTE so I flashed a different rom already cooked with this mod. Sent from my GT-P3100 using Tapatalk HD -
Strange Charging Issue with plugs when travelling

Phones require matching charging current, if the output in mAh units is not matching the device then the screen will become sluggish/unresponsive during the plugged in period. My sister's IPhone 5 needs to have the exact charger or the screen issues come up. All my HTCs namely Desire HD, Sensation, Sensation XL, One X had this issue. Its ROM/Kernel issue if the phone is rooted. If the phone isnt rooted, root and install a custom ROM preferably AOSP/CM/AOKP the base being lighter, phone can perform better.

BSNL 3G data back to normal (better) in Gujarat

After a downtime of 6+ months of 3G connection issues in BSNL Gujarat circle, it has been finally made up. I remember last time using it in last week of December 2012 and would get successfully connected only after midnight. Customer service declared it to be a server overload problem, which was being rectified. On 18/02/2013, I got an sms from BSNL: "Dear Customer, BSNL has further upgraded the network. Enjoy internet surfing on 3G". Now I am getting 2.5 Mbps plus on my Galaxy Tab 2. -
Are SIMs used for Data and Voice Different ?

It is a network connection error, not dongle or service provider's policy. Best is try to avoid buying data SIM for dongle, instead go for normal voice+data mobile SIM. Cellcos are not bothered if you use mobile SIMs on datacards. I used to use Tata Docomo mobile simcard on Vodafone's unlocked dongle for months on normal 2G/3G mobile packages. The actual difference is the recharge denominations, when we try to recharge a data SIM, while entering the subscriber number it will be detected as datacard, while a normal mobile handset sim goes with mobile data packages. The whole list of recharge will differ. Nothing else. -

@Pasumark, one will never repent a fraction of time, if going for HTC One X and HTC one S. Considering the development these handsets have, they are near future proof. HTC along with Google, keep updating the build and code for this handsets. I have also marked that One S has nearly the same resale value like One X. Swipe Telecom of USA has marketed their tablet range and smartphone Fablet F1 and MTV. The Fablet, a 5 inch, dual SIM, 3G on one SIM, 1Ghz processor, coupled with 512 ddr3 ram. I tested the phone in Indraprashta, Mumbai. The screen response is good, fair incall quality, fast. Priced at Rs 8900. apns-conf.xml is locked means your handset is not rooted. If by any chance you intend rooting it apns-conf.xml will be editable. -

Here are some small tools to help configure CDMA Android phones. As an example, epst on 4.0.3/Sense 4.1 ROM on EVO3D does not work. Some epst does not work on some ROMS. I am using Viper ROM Sense 4.1 on EVO3D and stock epst did not work. I pushed in epst(2) of EVO LTE and now it works. Root Explorer>system>app and tick all permissions. Rename to epst.apk. Reboot! If you are using sim based Android phones like Galaxy Y or Galaxy duos cdma and would like to know your MIN/IMSI/MSID then install vz.phonenumber.apk. I am posting this as a part of learning for the noob, as read on most forums it may not be morally correct to trouble the seller lifelong for small little help.This is a new way out for instantly fetching MSL without any hassle especially when we have forgotten the MSL (SPC) or is locked by the carrier. I have attached the apk file as a part of resource, The command: # getprop.ril.MSL (sometimes even without $ or #) "xxxxxx" answer is the the six digit xxxxxx MSL (SPC). Thank you Term.apk -
See, HTC ROM developers use extension of base of some other HTC phone that can be GSM like One S ported on EVO3D. So epst does not work in a ported base rom. CM 7/9/10 supports various epst. Can try any of these. Will upload few more different ones to support majority of roms. EVOing using Tapatalk on Reliance

You got an HTC phone which is carrier locked or an imported one, you need to zero the MSL. There are many more features useful to the developers on this forum.This is an alternative painless process. I have a friend's Sprint Galaxy Nexus S 4G to be workable on RCDMA. MEID is registered well and clean confirmation SMS was recieved. After putting NAM manually, we contacted Reliance WW yesterday evening, as always Reliance system for MEID swap was down and assurance of 24 hours was given. The friend had a OMH ruim previously linked to his number. Query is as of now still the *228001 does not go though and says your phone cannot be activated. I have screencasted his MIN on his laptop, Can I manually update the MIN to start on Reliance network?
