Saw 'The Mechanic' staring Jason Statham on Star Movies. Each dialogue conveyed some aspect. A 2011 movie without extra animation, sounds and lights. Jason is natively a mechanic who is also a contract killer, as usual his own stunts and set of rules dominated the scenes. Last 15 minutes give more excitement. The ninety minutes worth spending. Please suggest Dual SIM CDMA+GSM handset
dr.faramroze replied to anilpatil's topic in Handset Suggestions
It would be premature to compare Samsung Duos CDMA with HTC VC. Read the reviews of Duos ownership on the web. It's a pathetic device, absolute waste of money. Guys are willing to sell it off for 7k for a month old. There are ample FCs on normal daily use. This devices have specifically designed for CDMA ril radio data while offering only voice and text for the GSM slot. CDMA Android handsets survive more on a powerful SDK, framework, processor and dalvik. Incorporating 3G will be an overkill for the mainboard. 3G processor will consume more resources alongwith parallel slot CDMA. This is the reason they have arranged master and slave. HTC's build quality has always been outstanding. Be it Design 4G, Incredible 2 or VC. HTC device development is widespread and evolving, expect ROM development all the way through. HTC devices are fully compatible with OC and daemon scripts. Fully re-engineered newer kernels with prop tweaks. Many Duos CDMA users while purchasing were not aware of this feature (flaw?) eventually get rid because of lack of hsdpa availability. Even in Duos Gsm both slots cannot be master-master configuration, it has to be master-slave, Sim1-GSM/Edge/HSDPA and Sim2-GSM only/no packet data. Sent from MTS Mtag C8511 on Reliance -
Import the csv to gmail. Sync your gmail account via WiFi or mobile data. If csv data goes to notes field in gmail, there is a tutorial for that on RIMweb. PC sync is no longer a trend for PIM backups. Again, if you still want to use Kies, try different versions install and uninstall, trial and error. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

Dell XCD35 Going into Bootloop after flashing with Stock ROM
dr.faramroze replied to mickeyforu's topic in Other handsets
Please search a little. 2.3.5 is available for download. Follow the process given by me above. Root will be lost because of flashing stock (DellXcd) Zte blade firmware. Recovery will also go. So after successful firmware flash, re-root and recovery and flash you own custom Rom. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 -
It's no big issue here. If you installed latest Kies, uninstall it install a little older one. (Kies a must for firmware downloads). Also you can use Droid explorer which is a universal Google suite. And Huawei's Hi-suite is also recommended. Hi-suite will automatically instal hi-suite apk on whatever handset. All the best. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

MTS forcefully changed plan after issuing new SIM replacement
dr.faramroze replied to jatinjoshi's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
It appears fishy and strange. CDMA cellcos should go out of their way to please their existing customers because of grim future. Customer should be king. You will surely get your plan back. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 -

Get 2.3.5 firmware update. It will be in zip format, extract it and you will see the bin file. Put the bin file on the root (no folder) of your sd card. Switch off your handset. Power on with power+volup+menukey together and it will update automatically. Let it boot for two mins and you have it working. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 -
TV Tuner card remote problem

Apply on the inner button keypad rubber tips, apply very little. This remedy is only successful if overall remote control unit is working normal. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 -
TV Tuner card remote problem
dr.faramroze replied to ramtech's topic in General Technical Discussion
If you are residing in Mumbai you will get it at Lamington road, Bangalore in SP road and elsewhere I don't know. Lastly you can get conductive ink, open up the remote, apply it on the point not easily pressable. Conductive ink costs Rs 50 and more. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 -
Yes, pre-booking has started on its respective website. However it has 10.1 screen potentially difficult for daily use. Edit: I had seen N8000. Mistake accepted Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

Universal Username And Password For Reliance Netconnect+

After successfully syncing contacts with gmail, the sprint palm pixi has gone offline. It's a low memory js bug mostly experienced in 1.35-1.45 os. Removing sync accounts and reseting does help but it did not today. Edit: Had to install WebOS Doctor 1.45 and run activation bypass devicetool.jar, usbpassthrough keygen and re-loaded my qcn with universal username password net net. Super surprise comes next. Importing csv contact file to Gmail stored all phone numbers to notes field making the efforts useless. All.vcf never uploaded to Gmail so as last resort imported single vcf files and viola !

RIMweb Exclusive: MTS New CDMA Android Handsets Launch - MTag 401 And Samsung Galaxy Y
dr.faramroze replied to rajanmehta's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Point is noted now. My cousin had got his handset done on MTS by some EBay seller. Programmers on eBay may remove their offer/services at any moment. One has search with the word meid and all offers starting from Rs 800 will show up. This pre is for MTS and BSNL Tarang. http://www.ebay.in/itm/Palm-Pre-Plus-Smartphone-16GB-Memory-512-RAM-WIFI-GPS-Mobile-Hotspot-/320962441685?pt=IN_Mobile_Phones&hash=item4abada31d5#ht_8176wt_922 Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 -

This phone has wifi so if you have your PIM data on Google, you can just log-in using wifi even if 1x/data does not work. Used phone is a used phone but there is a term 'mint' used for pre-owned items, Reliance CDMA lost the largest chunk of subscribers so all these subscribers who quit CDMA eagerly sold/sell their handsets at whatever prices. My brother bought a month old Samsung Y cdma (RUIM) for 3800 in Mumbai today. I am in no way imposing my thoughts over others, this is just a suggestion -
I have successfully de-provisioned MTS MTAG Huawei C8511 from its locked carrier MTS. Reliance RUIM was working with voice and sms by default. I did not require a pc or any such equipments. Now 1x/Evdo works beautifully. I tried much hard to de-compile and rebuild framework-res.apk to remove carrier files but firmware crashed and had to re-install firmware and re-root a hundred times. However carrier name could not be changed by erl.xml. In stock firmware, non-MTS APNs could not be saved, now I have made Reliance as default. Anyone interested in modifying MTS phones can contact me for free support.

Get a SIM free CDMA phone, they are smartphones not cheap multimedia Androids. It's no headache now, get one from this forum. Developers here import US handsets which are absolute quality. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 -
Sense 3.6 libs and framework-res is hardly primitive than sense 4. ICS will not compile on < Sense 3.6 base. If its ICS means far ahead than GB be it Sense 3.6 or Sense 4.1. Some newer .apks will not parse unless on ICS. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

There are three robust ROMS in Android hacking section on xda. I have tested them. The phone has sufficient hardware credentials so custom Rom is never a problem. This device does not have a dedicated sub-section on xda. You will have to search in Google like site: forum.xda-developers.com custom Rom HTC Design 4G. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 -

I browsed an MTS Mtag CDMA (Android Ruim based) handset on Sunday, Aug 12 at 11:00 pm on m.olx.in (Faridabad) and immediately smsed the seller. He was shocked to know my interest as I am in Gujarat. Transfered Rs 3000 including 310 for Bluedart. Received it on Tuesday morning. The phone is 3 months old, immaculate and with total package. You will get used CDMA phones like peanuts selling everywhere. In fact cdma phones are more better conditioned than GSM ones for the reasons unknown. Sadly the phone is MTS locked NAM, but I rooted it and got rid of the carrierware. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 -
Whatsapp Issue Across Mobile OS's
dr.faramroze replied to kundalus's topic in General Technical Discussion
You cannot compare smartphones anymore, BlackBerry, Nokia, Palm or any OS may not be comparable to Androids' hardware and software offerings. Watsapp works flawlessly on devices packed with 1Ghz/512 RAM combination and above. Watsapp uses cloud messaging based on native device phonebook while others don't. Apps like Chrome beta, Mozilla Firefox, Watsapp are meant to be used on superfast devices. Take no offense, thats the power of technology. Sent from my HTC SENSATION XL using Tapatalk 2 -
