Tata Docomo 3G Network (System Issue)
dr.faramroze replied to rajendra.jindal's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Ditto its there in my case too. Got 2G recharge by mistake in Bombay last week, 2G data rate continues even after I got 3G data pack few days ago. 2G didn't get forfeited 3G data is being used up with utterly poor 130 kbps. Network is BSNL. Waiting for the validity period to end. Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk 2 -
Yes, boot your phone into recovery mode, go into partition sd card, minimum 1Gb ext3 partition with 0mb swap. Then you can flash an ext3 compatible rom or move your system .apks to ext3 partition. You will not need rom manager or minitool. Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk 2

Use system app remover.apk to remove bloatware. Google search is not so friendly nowadays so you may require more time in searching. This is the best root uninstaller. If you don't get it pm me. Try a CM7 based rom, its minimal and fast. Sent from my HTC Ace using Tapatalk 2

New Online Reservation Website For Indian Railways
dr.faramroze replied to rajanmehta's topic in The Lounge
Irctc.Co.in has an option 'file tdr' for passengers not traveled or partially traveled. Tte can also endorse partially traveled ticket for partial refund. Sent from my HTC Sensation XL -
First root your phone which will give you administrator rights. Its a S-off (security off) protocol, one time procedure. Then download ROM Manager premium. Goto options and select Partition your SD card, select 1024 which is the minimum for an EXT partition. This will move your apps to SDcard and free some memory.

Will Reliance shut down CDMA voice services?
dr.faramroze replied to suvirajshetty's topic in Reliance Communications
RCDMA is a gainer where network connectivity is concerned. When travelling, cdma cellsite gives a wider beam comparing GSM & UMTS signals. Call is clear and uninterrupted. Downside is Reliance not interested in incentive and intensive customer retaining. People do change Sprint and Verizon handsets, upgrade via ota or thru cc. If Sprint, MetroPCS, Alltel can handle handset upgradation process, then why can't Reliance? They don't know what's an esn or meid. They don't know to load prl. They cannot implant a new RSN before 24 hours. They are naive and ignorant. However, they have a niche to cater to traders and masses. LTE could be a distant dream. CDMA services should never shut down in our country. Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk -
*###*4636*#*# works on Nand Roms and SD ports. Most GSM Android phones don't have 'only 3G network' option. Phone keeps switching networks. This menu enables 3G only option. It also has ping test and network details. Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk

Bluetooth Protocol Version 4 Is Coming Soon
dr.faramroze posted a topic in General Technical Discussion
The Next Wave: First Bluetooth v4.0 Products Reaching the Market The first products with Bluetooth v4.0 are starting to arrive, beginning with a heart-rate strap and new computers from Apple. This trickle will soon turn into a flood. These pioneering products will soon be joined by Bluetooth v4.0 smart phones, as well as a plethora of new health & wellness devices, consumer electronics devices, and PC peripherals. Bluetooth v4.0 phones arriving in a few months A big shift will begin before the end of this year, when the first mobile phones with Bluetooth v4.0 technology begin to ship. By the end of 2012, virtually all new smart phones will include Bluetooth v4.0 technology. This will allow phones to continue to connect with the billions of Bluetooth devices in the market today, in addition to new devices with Bluetooth v4.0 and its hallmark feature, low energy technology. Here is a roll call of some the first Bluetooth v4.0 devices: Apple releases world's first computers with Bluetooth v4.0 MacBook Air The new MacBook Air—Apple's thinnest and lightest notebook—adds Bluetooth v4.0. This will allow it to wirelessly connect to the next generation of mobile phones and many other devices coming out later this year with Bluetooth v4.0. The new MacBook Air also features the latest-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, high-speed Thunderbolt I/O technology, and all-flash storage. Mac mini Like the MacBook Air, the new Mac mini also adds Bluetooth v4.0, which wil allow it to wirelessly connect to the next generation of Bluetooth v4.0 phones and other devices coming out later this year. The new Mac mini also features the latest dual-core Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, AMD Radeon HD graphics, and high-speed Thunderbolt I/O technology. Dayton and Nordic Semiconductor create first heart strap with Bluetooth v4.0 Dayton heart-rate strap Dayton Industrial Co. Ltd has created the world's first production-ready Bluetooth v4.0 heart-rate chest strap, using a new Bluetooth v4.0 low energy chip from Nordic Semiconductor. The device is now ready to go into production and will be able to pair with the new wave of Bluetooth v4.0 phones expected out later this year. Users won’t need a special matching watch like most heart-rate monitors use today. According to Nordic, the strap can be paired with a phone or other Bluetooth v4.0 device in seconds, allowing people to display their heart rate on their phone while they work out and analyze it afterward. How Operators Are Scuttling MNP
dr.faramroze replied to ravi_patent's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
I must be the first one to reswap my port-out on RIMweb. Influenced by friends, got port-out from Tata Docomo to Bsnl in March 2011, used 3G bsnl for 89 days. BSNL 3G was mindblowing, but very poor network in Mumbai roaming on Mtnl. Changed back to Tata Docomo and I am happy again. Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk -

Active Matrix Organic Light Emiting Diode has the biggest benefit of low power consumption. Having manufactured with faster processors, keeping the same ~1500mah battery, AMOLED will do some relief to the battery discharge system.

10 Best Uses For A Usb Pen Drive
dr.faramroze replied to rajanmehta's topic in General Technical Discussion
Dear All, I wish to suggest that since newer built Android and Windows phone operates best on newer SD cards, which are classified according to class. For eg. Sandisk 4GB class 6 and Verbatim 8GB class 10. The more the class digit, higher and smoother data transfer and cache limit. Android phones recommends class 4/6/10 to give ultimate experience. They are really not easy to get from the stores. The storekeeper will proudly give class 2 memory, which may not give desired results. Someone can put them up for sale on RIMWEB. Mods please move my post somewhere else if needed. Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk -
Excellent words of wisdom, anandjm. I will keep in mind your detailed post above. Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
