Hi, Ever since the new operators have been entering the Mumbai Telecom market the rates have consistently fallen and gone to a new low every single time. With the number portability not in sight, people are forced to stick to their service providers. I would like to know if there are tariff plans for the Aam Admie offered by AirTel in Mumbai which match the 30p all local and 50p all national with lower rates for on-net calling and freebies as are offered by most "NEW" GSM Service Providers. The tariff plans listed on the AirTel website are quite expensive as compared to the newer one's. I earlier used to have the Alex Plus 299 plan which used to be cheaper than most in Mumbai offering local calls at 30ps and 50ps, etc. That plan now has been discontinued. Would also appreciate if the list of Special Packs / Rate Cutters are posted along with the tariff plans where it is applicable. If there are ANY hidden plans such as the Alex Plans, can someone also post those plans and the procedure for activation. Thanks, Aniket

Roaming Facility between Delhi and Mumbai for Garuda Postpaid mobile customers (w.e.f 8-6-09) Roaming between Mumbai and Delhi for Garuda Postpaid Mobile will be available from 8-6-09 onwards. The features of this facility are as under. 1. This feature will be introduced with effect from 8-6-09. 2. The Roaming facility will be available by default for Garuda Postpaid Mobile customers only. 3. All Garuda Postpaid Mobile handsets will be programmed over the air(OTA) by default. However if any customer faces problem (especially Plan B customers) he may please be asked to contact *228 for assistance. 4. The Roaming facility between Mumbai and Delhi is free of charge. 5. Those customers who do not have the STD facility can dial only local calls while roaming. In case the customer wishes to dial national /Mumbai other operator numbers has to avail National dialing facility (STD). This can be done from any CSC as per the normal procedure. 6. A Delhi based subscriber when he is in roaming in Mumbai will be charged as per tariff of “One India Plan” given below: - Type of Call Pulse (Seconds) Call Charges (Rs.)
