  2. Now, there seems to be good news for all the 2G, 3G and 4G Mobile Internet users, India’s telecom watchdog Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today issued guidelines on Minimum Quality Benchmark for Mobile Internet services – GPRS, 2G and 3G / EVDO and 4G Data service. With the new regulation – “Standards of Quality of Service for Mobile Data Services Regulations, 2012” TRAI will monitor Quality of Mobile Internet service on nine parameters, including Minimum Download Speed, Successful Data transmission Download and Upload Attempts, Latency – the amount of time taken by a packet to reach the receiving endpoint after being transmitted from the sending endpoint etc. The TRAI has also recommended that all Mobile Internet Service providers should activate Mobile Internet (GPRS/3G/4G/CDMA – EVDO) within 3 hours of the customer requesting for it, with a 95% success rate. TRAI said that presently, there is No Quality of Service Standards for the Mobile Data Services in India. It is necessary to benchmark and monitor the quality of service offered by the service providers of mobile data services with various options open to the implementing agencies so that the interests of consumers are protected. TRAI, therefore, decided to benchmark the Quality of Service parameters for mobile data services, so that the interests of consumers are protected. Accordingly, the draft regulations have been prepared by the regulator. Proposed Quality of Service parameters for Mobile Data services : All Mobile Internet Service providers have been asked to send /submit their view or comments on above regulation by 25th July, 2012 and counter comments by 1st August, 2012 to the TRAI. 4. Best Courier Services in India?

I discovered something yesterday which i believe is the best service I have seen so far. I had to send a Bluetooth headset + A mobile handset + A digicam to my girlfriend. The total weight of the parcel came to around 990Grams. From Bhubaneswar to New Delhi Fedex Quoted --- Rs 500 Bluedart Quoted -- Rs 450 DTDC quoted -- Rs 190 First Flight Quoted --- Rs 190 All of them promised a delivery time of 2 business days. But finally I went for our Sarkari India Post Express Parcel Post Service. They charged only Rs 79 for 990Grams and didnt even enquire once what was there inside. Anyways the Item was booked on 12/July/2012 at 12:40Pm in Bhubaneswar and Was delivered today on 13/July/2012 @ 16:10HRS in New Delhi... To India Post... They are surely giving a tough competition to courier companies, I must say
  5. Yesterday I had gone to the Bhubaneswar railway station to receive my relative (fiancee).. Bought a platform ticket and entered inside the platform. The train got delayed by 3 hours and the connecting train also got delayed by 2.5 hours. At that time I forgot to take a fresh platform ticket (as the validity is of 2 hours only). One of the ticket examiners caught me and asked me to come with him which I did.. Then instead of asking for a fine he started abusing me saying that he will put me into jail and all... LOL He kept me there for around 30mnts but never asked for any fine rather kept telling me that I am criminal, a law breaker etc etc.. Super LOL ( I work in WIPRO ).. Now this bulls**t was enough for me and I asked him to cut the crap and issue me a challan.. To whicch Mr Arrogant replied that he will fine me the maximum amount.. Again I demanded him to show me the fare chart under which he was booking me but he denied.. Finally he issued me a challan for Rs 253.. Immediately after that I went to the GRP Police station to lodge an FIR against that guy for misbehavior and attempt to assault.. Now Mr. Arrogant was on the receiving side when the IIC of that station and the Chief Ticket Inspector scolded him in front of me (dil ko zara sa sukoon mila :) ) Today I have lodged a formal complaint against him with the CTI Bhubaneswar and DGM, East Coast Railways and they told me that the guy is going to be transferred to some remote station. 6. An Interesting Incident @ Railway Station

AFAIK subhyatra is a loyalty card and railway credit card is a different thing.. Anyone can have a subhyatra card but not a railway card as it is given based on your credit rating. And my travel plans are always spontaneous so Tatkal me 2nd AC ka question hi nahi aata Its 3rd AC most of the tym.. so i dont think the card will be of much use to be. I had got a call from someone from SBI Cards thouugh offering me that railway card some months ago, but i denied.
  7. How To Leave Internet Addiction?

My result is 51 "You are experiencing occasional or frequent problems because of the Internet. You should consider their full impact on your life."
  8. An Interesting Incident @ Railway Station

subh yatra comes with 1000s of conditions such as to get the points you must be a passenger to redeem you must be a passenger on the ticket and spending Rs 300 per year is like going to platform once every 5 days.
  9. How To Leave Internet Addiction?

Again this question of deaddiction is being asked online, so that you will have to be on the internet to get de-addicted Its a vicious circle
  10. An Interesting Incident @ Railway Station

He should be transferred to CHAMBAL Railway Station. Lolz Palasa Station to be specific.. That guy has a bad track record so far, as reported by the CTI. That would be great.. Buy sms tkt only when you are caught
  11. An Interesting Incident @ Railway Station

i had even taken a printout of the complaint that i was planning to submit @ the GRP Police station as an FIR, but then i was told that this guy is going to get married on 6th of this month, so thought that I would rather not do that. These ticket checkers think that they have the law in their hands and that they can do anything to anyone in the railway station..
  12. where did you get this info ? Even I need the details..

  16. Rajan Dada AFAIK sellers get their full payment(Listed Price) even if buyer has applied coupon of any value. So I dont think that might be a reason. The reason might be that someone started it and everyone else is following the trend of 28K
