I like FedEx.. They charge Rs 150 for 1st 500 grams and shipping is really fast. I shipped an item from Bhubaneswar on 20th mar 2:15pm and it was delivered in delhi today on 21 mar at 10:15.. Less than 24 hours Thats why I love shipping through FedEx..

I am PORTING my existing Reliance GSM Prepaid number 98xxxxx878 to Airtel Postpaid in Orissa circle. Reasons for Porting - Reliance GSM was good for me till last month when it started charging me randomly. Even there were no proper complaint handling mechanism. Reliance customer care is the worst, I must say. They don't have any idea and their system is always on upgradation. They deducted Rs 77 from my account for a video call that lasted only 28 seconds :-O. Although I got the money back but that was after fighting through pgportal. Initially I tried to port in to docomo postpaid, but they rejected my request :-( (Docomo is the cheapest) Benefits that I see of the new service provider - Airtel, I know is costlier but I hope that it will provide me a decent network. The customer support is good.. My dad is using his airtel postpaid connection for past 5 years without any hassles. The MNP plan is something I like in Airtel.. It provides me the following benefits : Rental of 333 + tax 333 Local + 333 STD Minutes free per month After that A2A @ 20p/min A2O @ 30p/min A2LL @ 50p/min All STD @ 50p/min Roaming I/c and local o/g= 0.60, STD o/g in roaming = 0.80 SMS @ 0.80 250 L/N SMS Free per month Porting Experience - 15th March 2012 : Generated UPC 15th March 2012 : Visited Airtel Relationship Center on same day (15th Mar) and filled up forms and all. No security deposit taken as this is a port-in case. :-) 15th March 2012 : Received SMS from 1901 stating "Request for port in to Airtel has been received" 16th March 2012 : Got a address verification call in the afternoon at around 1600Hrs... Said he is forwarding my verfication as cleared (Something that DoCoMo rejected. ) 20th March 2012 <21:08 hrs> : Still waiting for the no service period message to arrive .. This is becoming the longest experience of MNP for me... 21st March 2012 <00:28 hrs>: Received message from 1901 (Finally...!!! ) "Request validated by donor and porting time: 2012-03-21 22:00:00.683" Waiting for the final step now.. 21st March 2012 <22:40 hrs> : Received welcome message from AirTel.. ^^ Kamal bhai I use sbi mobile banking, tht uses gprs or sends sms to a 10 digit number... It is cheaper. But only Topups can be executed You cannot recharge the RCV. BTW why do you not want to login ??

mention ur correct pincode in ur address itself. And in the space for PINCODE mention the 001 pincode of ur city. eg For Lajpat nagar delhi (pin code 110024 ) I wrote it as A 63 XX YY colony Lajpat nagar 110024 New delhi PIN 110001 And it worked for me And yes DONT use any special characters ( M1/18 should be written as M1 18; 1/22/236/A-22 = 1 22 236 A22) Don't worry your local postman or courier guy will recognize it if your pincode is correct.

^^^ Honest bhai: may be they should consider creating a different account for billing VAS only.. Like one separate account for SMS and data(if packs are active) afaik Reliance doesnot reflect this thing in unbilled, but again that becomes a problem. eg in the 199 plan we get Rs 150 worth of talktime, but reliance does not add anything till your call/sms has reached 150. So sometimes it becomes a problem to track the same. Finally I am glad to know that airtel won't disconnect if I use internet and unbilled goes above CL. @Kamal bhai does your unbilled ever go above credit limit after using internet ?

You can get it done from any city in Gujrat.. Porting is circle specific.. ie in the same circle (almost refers to state) you can do the porting. But if it is a postpaid request then there might be some issues as other city outlets might not be able to conduct a verification at your residence. But if u want to port into prepaid then it can be done from any place in your state.

Ashok bhai thanx for the info, but does it disconnect the service in case the unbilled exceeds the credit limit.. ? Actually I am a new customer and that why they have given me such a low credit limit

^^ Even if i use 250 mb, the unbilled will rise upto 1500 which sadly is my current credit limit :-(

Activate the DND service on your number. SMS <START 0> without the brackets to 1909. And they will not be able to activate any services from their ow. I have activated it and for the past 7 months, there is not a single deduction on my number for any VAS. :-)

I am a student and I wish to take a postpaid connection. I have all the valid POI and POA documents with me. The service provider has NOT mentioned on their website that students can not take a particular plan. So can a service provider reject my request on ground of address verification and stating that I am a student and a connection can not be given to me ? I have faced this situation from TATA Docomo and hence I wanted to know how valid a reason is it. I got this attached document of TRAI which states that the operator cannot deny. When I asked when the AV Guy wud visit my residence.. I was surprised to hear "Sir aapko just call aayega. Koi aapke ghar nahi jaane waala hai :-) Over phone address verify ho jayega " Getting the following plan from Airtel: Rental 333 + taxes:: --> 333 local minutes --> 333 std minutes --> 250 L/N sms.

Vodafone gave me these retention offers this time : 1. 6000 L/N sms valid for 3 months. 2. 2p/3 sec Local/STD for 3 months 3. Full talktime in main balance for topups above Rs 20. 4. All India Roaming @ 1p/sec (1 year) They offered all these combined as a retention offer.. I declined
