  1. They wrote this request thing just to save their a** . Otherwise just think, how can one operator send a request to other operator ? If there is some type of request from one operator to other then it has to be a portout request. :-D And request PMRS096422653 on 04/02/2012 with UPC TL927762, means it is a portout request Try giving a portout request again and it will be done this time.

  4. Docomo is providing great plans here in orissa too.. even I am planning to port out from Voda postpaid to DoCoMo Postpaid :-) Anyways did you talk to the docomo guys ? What did they say ?
  5. you can have the same Relationship number (Customer ID). As far as plan is concerned, if it is an active plan, then you can have it... If it is not, then you can ask someone from Docomo store to get that plan activated on your number... They will oblige you provided that you are a high ARPU customer.

    Recently my samsung mobile was without sim and I pressed the SOS button... And my call got connected to some number which started ringing. Well I disconnected the call because I was not in danger, but I really want to know that is there such a 112 service exist in India like the 911 in the US ? And where does the call land when we call 112 ?

  9. Can anyone suggest what to do... Gave a porting request on 29th Jan Airtel Pre --> Voda Postpaid On 3rd my number got converted to vodafone but PREPAID .. I could check the balance. After a few hours my number got disconnected and till now services are not available. VF c.care says the number details are not available in their system. My Cellphone shows "Invalid Sim" now, when I insert the new SIM and Airtel has already released the number.

    ^^^ When was the last time u contacted them ? As far as I know they had made all refunds by 29th September and there are no pending refunds.

    I had a real bad experience with that website www.indianrailways.gov.in I tried to book a ticket from bhubaneswar to n.delhi in 3rd AC Duronto exp. Eveything was going fine when after the payment confirmation I got the message from the website that I had not selected Veg/Non Veg food and Whether Bed roll required.. I was never presented with an option . Anyways the ticket booking FAILED. There the real drama started... I am used to the fast refund processing by IRCTC, but since this website is a direcly SARKARI website I Waited for refund for 5 days, called their customer care just to be told that "I will get the refund in 3 working days." One fine morning I woke up from bed and checked the website to find <The site is down for maintenance>. It was like WTF... Then 1000000s of calls to customer care, tons of frantic eMails, loads of over phone and Finally after 3 months (YESS..!! THREE Long MONTHS) I got my refund... !!! I even sent them a thank you eMail for returning me back my own money... Indian railways Jai Ho..

    which is a decent internet service provider in delhi ? I am not planning to take MTS as it is cdma operator . Which other operator in gsm is providing decent plans and speed ?
  14. I have done like 6-7 port ins successfully, out of which 2 were RIM to Voda, Never faced any difficulties. And Yes you need to register for DND again with your new operator.

    2G --- Reliance gsm, 10gb for 101 in my circle .. 3G -- Aircel, Take a new sim worth Rs 100, Get 3GB of 3G data for a month, After a month throw away the sim and take a new one

    Boss the thing is that the n/w thats providing best services in my zone might not be providing good service at another circle.. Thats why I feel like asking. And its not always possible to try different sims with so many operators around.. The topic can be closed though if the discussion is going out of topic.
