Foreign ESN On TATA Indicom Network
haxpak replied to sharatf's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Mufaddal sir, how do we get our ESN registered at reliance webworld ? Local WW guys don't know anything about it -
Error 678 means that there is some problem with modem drivers installed on PC. Check the com port of the modem and see if it is correctly configured or not

For anyone facing problems in EVDO activation follow this procedure : 1 ) call *355 and ask them to transfer your call to netconnect+ dept 2 ) Once transferred, tell them that you have a new samsung corby ( don't mention any other model at all. These rcom guys are idiots and create issues if you mention any other phone ) 3 ) Tell them you have an OMH RUIM ( necessary ) and have done *228 4 ) Ask them for A12Auth status on your account ( Thanks to Vikas Mahajan for this valuable info ) 5 ) If A12 is off then ask them to activate it The above procedure will take 12~24 hours. Credit for all this goes to : Vikas Mahajan and Amit Jain. Amit ji especially helped me out a lot when I called him up for help with EVDO activation even though he couldn't do anything as my number was from outside NCR. Edit : This is only to get EVDO activated on OMH RUIM card

Reliance doesn't offer preactivated EVDO on OMH RUIM

Reliance HSD / EVDO / Netconnect Broadband+ coverage update
haxpak replied to rajeshkatiyar's topic in Data services
Great news for everyone in Calicut. EVDO has been test launched and many towers have been upgraded. I just used it in Kunnamangalam -
Problem is not with LG but reliance. If it is OMH the operator is supposed to provide settings on RUIM and keep it open. Reliance on the other hand has blocked settings at the backend so unless they activate it for you EVDO will not work. Only God knows how reliance execs get such wonderful ideas in their heads.

Can someone confirm reliance activates EVDO for this handset. The problem is that reliance has even defeated the very purpose of OMH and one needs to get evdo activated from the backend even if OMH card is used ( what is the point of OMH, can someone explain to reliance please if they just block the settings from the backend )

Nokia Introduces Its First Dual Sim Mobile Phone
haxpak replied to kk999's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
None are dual active. Nokia really doesn't understand the market at all. After a delay of so many years, they come up with this crap -
Please Stop Over Commercialisation Of Our Forum...
haxpak replied to dkaile's topic in Forum Feedback
I can vouch for Hitesh bhai. He has helped me out sooooooooooooo much and never charged a single rupee. But, the forum is being commercialized a bit too much. DIY guys who have no commercial interest have no access to technical and programming stuff to protect the interests of a few sellers. Knowledge should be shared. Adventurous people can program their own phones, while people who value time and don't want to take risk will always go for sellers.
