  1. HTC EVO 4G - Fluctuating Signals

    I have a HTC EVO 4G, MEID Registered with reliance. Had used handset for 4-5 months on Reliance Number. MikG 2.1 + 3.0 sense ROM. The signals in this handset fluctuates constantly. For a second I can see all the six bars, then the next second it comes down to three then it comes down to zero. After some time when I switch on the airplane mode and again switch it off I get full signals, and then again it starts to go down. I have also formatted the phone and loaded a fresh ROM and loaded the PRL again. But the signals are still fluctuating. Unable to connect a call like *228. I get an error message as "Call origination attempt fails due to an immediate signal loss (signal fade or no service available)" What could the problem be? Members please put some light to my problem....

Same msg received for both the orders....
  11. @ piyushj A few of my observations... I personally did not get good Evdo speed on S3 or other Samsung devices. This is one of the reasons I prefer HTC devices. The max I got on S3 is 800kbps. On HTC EVO 4G LTE its more than 1.5 Mbps max upto 2.5 Mbps.... If u r getting more than 144 kbps then your Evdo is active. Ping below 250 or 300 also shows that Evdo is active n working... You may raise a complaint of slow Evdo speed, and expect a resolution.... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

  14. Thank you Amit, Didn't try the solution you provided. Now I'm on CM 10.1.3 Baseband MB1. I guess there is some problem with Tata. As I've tried with a Reliance prepaid number on the same handset and I was able to answer an incoming international call. But the same does not work with Tata. On Tata, the phone restarts when I answer the incoming international call, and then I can't find the call record in incoming nor in missed call records. I have tried my Tata number on Motorola Electrify M, the incoming international call can be answered but the call duration shows 00.00, even when the call is ongoing. Strange.... One of my friend in Haryana was also using Tata on S3 USC, even he had a strange problem. When the mobile data is on he could not see incoming calls. The caller on the other end used to get call waiting message. But I did not face any such problem in AP. Strange things happening with Tata :-( My hunt for a good handset to be used with Tata is still on. Friends please suggest. Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2

  16. I have a strange problem on my US Cellular S3 - Tata CDMA I am unable to answer incoming calls from international numbers... When I slide the answer key, the phone continues to ring, but does not get answered. Tried formatting the phone, but still no luck...

    Wi-Fi turning on automatically...!!! Even I was having a similar problem on my HTC EVO 4G LTE Though Connections Optimizer was turned off, WiFi used to turn on automatically, Later I figured it out that the BatteryGuru app by Qualcomm was turning on the WiFi automatically. Had to turn it off under BatteryGuru>Settings>Manage WiFi
  20. RETAIN MDN Visit Reliance Web world and ask them to RETAIN your MDN to the RSN/MEID of your blackberry. If they don't accept, try visiting another Web world. Manually enter the MIN first and then visit Web world. Just ask them to RETAIN MDN, and and tell them you will take care of the rest. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

I have installed MeanBean ROM Tried to latch the device on PC with Diag mode - There is a way out to it, as the Diag drivers will not latch it directly - Link to XDA Was not successfull on XP Tried on Win 7 and it worked as mentioned in the XDA post. Finally things started working... So I would like to say again " new handsets which are not programmed do not take the OTA..."

    @Rupesh, I herd that it is applicable for most of the LG handsets. As of now I can say that it is tested on LG Optimus S and LG Marquee (tested on our forum) If any other member has tried it on other LG handsets, please give inputs...

    I am unable to connect to PC in diag mode after taking the OTA of jellybean... OTA updated to firmware: 3.15.651.16 710RD with HBOOT 2.09 Even after installing the diag drivers the PC does not latch the device in Diag mode, Tried it on XP and Win7 also, So new handsets which are not programmed do not take the OTA... I had a hell of time to try to S-OFF, during which I had bricked my phone (3 days ago) then unbricked today and now installing MeanBean ROM, lets see if it latches to PC on diag mode on MeanBean ROM. Will give my feedback....
