Some more info on Rcom 3G Tab. 1. Tab IMEI number is mapped to SIM card. SO if you sell the Tab, the buyer can't get the 3G discounted data plans. 2. If you choose regular 1Gb/2GB/5GB data plans. Post your limit, the data speed will reduce to 64kbps & it will be free Unltd usage on monthly basis.. 3. If you buy the Tab on say LetsBuy.com, you can't get dicounted tarriff (Annual discounting). This discount is valid only on purchase from RWW (Web world) 4. For postpaid, you need a minimum Rs 99 voice plan (99 SMS Free) or 199 Plan (150 talktime free) 5. Prepaid plan on Tab will be launched in a few weeks (No timeframe given) 6. For Inserting SIM or SD card, you need to take the base apart. There is no visible USB/HDMI etc slots on teh Tab. Has anyone found a way to unlock teh Tab so It can be used with other SIM cards??

Hi I called Voda CC for BB Postpaid 599 plan. But was told that itis only for Prepaid. Postpaid is 899in Mumbai. Also now Voda CC is not free but we are charged Rs0.50 per 3 mins of Call. My above enq & hold time all resulted in cost of Rs 2.50 ie 15 Mins.. while I was put on hold, transfered around like a sack of potato & finalyy booted out..

Right I was also using GPSED on my Verizon 9530 which I am selling now. Dr M had posted the method to activate it on this forum & I was able to use GPS on GSM wout any issues.

1. For SBs, u need to enable Leagsy Service books. Then u dont have to use crackutil. Goto Options - Adv options - Serbice books. Now type SBEB & u will get a popup ' Leagcy SB enabled' 2. Now connect to DM & copy SBs.

what is the error?? Pl go to Options - Applications - icici app & check the module permissions. Select 'Allow" for all. Then check ur app If still error, then again go to same option as above, press 'BB' key & see if compatability mode is enabled or diabled. Change it & again check. If nothing works,,, then can;t help it

@manshmedia It means that ur Samsung i910 has network lock & hence you need to program it for Tata.. may be load Tata prl.. Just like we do for foreign BB

@Hitesh I read on the forums that MFI doesn't work with new gen BB 9xxx & later. So far debranding of 9xxx series is possible only using Flash Box. So pl advise/inform if any user has used ur method to debrand 9xxx series to tata or relaince. 8830 is easy using MFI & I was also able to do it but 9xxxx is different.

Tata is activating BB services on Foreign BB provided it is activated & not cloned.

Thanks Dr. I loaded the cod & PCMS, SMS LInk options are available, However the refresh list doesn;t add the device in BTooth So amnot sure if it is Storm issue or something else

Hi 1. I am using Docomo prepaid. The BB Browser works well with APN : Tata.Docomo.internet . However wap browser never works. give error that unable to connect to internet. 2. I also tried wap browser settings found on net. AAPN: tata.docomo.dive.in & username/pwd as blank but no joy. 3. Then I tried the same wap setting with username/pwd as internet/inetrnet but no joy. Do u have any working wap settings for docomo for BB? I am using 9530 now. PS : I sed all APN names in CAPITALS. Here mentioned in small letters as info only. Pl help asap Thanks

Guys.... 1. MFI maynot work with Vista.. Try to use good old XP.. else try to right click MFI Loader.exe & select prop - Win XP. But better to use a PC with XP. 2. NEVER use MFI wwwith latest OS. Downgrade ur OS to the oldes version possible (4.2.x or 4.1.x) & then use MFI. It will work. Take my word for it As newer OS is released, protection also is enahnaced

What OS u r using? I have seen that teh problem is with OS 4.5 but with 4.2 things work better..

Boss... I think I have cracked this mystry as to why GSM doesn't work when u upgrade to 4.5 It is IT polciy. When u upgrade to 4.5, IT polciy is isntalled by default which disables GSM SO do as below : best method for removing IT policy is to update it to OS 4.5 and you can use JL_Cmder's "resettofactory" command to remove ALL IT policy, Firewall restrictions and Application Permission settings. After you've upgraded to OS 4.5, simply backup the device using Desktop Manager, close Desktop Manager, then run JL_Cmder and execute the "resettofactory" command. The device will wipe, then reboot leaving the OS, 3rd party apps but no data AND, best of all, NO IT policy whatsoever. When you're done, simply restore your backup and you're good to go with no policy or locked firewall. You can downgrade back to the old OS if you desire, too. Now my GSM is working in 8830 with OS 4.5 Cheers!!!!

Hi I intalled Sprint 8830uAMEA_PBr4.5.0_rel201_PL3.4.0.28_A4.5.0.135_Sprint. I had the same problem. My GSM stopped working. However I foudn that MTNL - 800Mhz band works but 1800band - Idea/AIrcel don;t work. I even called Aircel guy to my home to chk signal strength & found everything fine but 8830 shows SOS. However I wa surprised to see that Aircel worked at Aircel office at MIDC. Then I compared signal strength & found that my flat had strength of -69dbm whiel at Aircel office, it was -45dbm. Also MTNL tower is right opposite my flat so I get full power So I can say that 4.5upgrade has less signal gain for GSM radios ANy solution using QXDM???

I tried Tata pde settings but GPS was not working. ALso no Data Txfer It works wout Tata pde settings.. atleast Data txfer happens but am unable to get a lock- may be becuase of cloudy weather. In GSM. GPS is disabled.. Any soln for GPS in GSM so we can use it on AIrcel & chk it out
