  1. Reliance Gsm Network In Ncr

Agree with you totally. RGSM is pathetic in many parts of Mumbai. No to worst coverage indoors in most of the places. Poorest coverage in Goa. To avail Handset options in GSM, I was thinking of opting for RGSM on MNP to get advantage of free intra-network calling. But, Now I have given up the idea. Either I will be going in for imported CDMA handset or will opt for Airtel. Regards
  2. Thank you for the info. MTNL is going great. Very good speeds at affordable rates. Very good value for money plans from MTNL. Regards
  3. Dear Mr. Mufaddal, You have mistaken our concern about CDMA handsets. It is not only about availability of CDMA handsets you/we are talking about. It also relates to the PRICES of the CDMA handsets YOU are talking about in comparision to same feature GSM handsets. It would be of great help to compare if you could please give approx prices of the handsets, you have mentioned. Regards
  4. Dear Mr. Pai, Its not that I have any problem with Rcom CDMA. I certainly vouch for the voice clarity even with one signal bar. And nationwide coverage is also very good. But at the same time I must say that my Airtel connection also gives comparable clarity (never gave thought to check clarity with one signal bar). Even as other members have rightly said that CDMA is Spectrum efficient as a user I find Rcom CDMA and Airtel on same pedestal as far as voice clarity is concerned. My problem is HANDSET options with CDMA. I dont think the situation will improve much in near future. Let us hope some good handsets are launched in next few months (till MNP comes). And the biggest benefit of MNP will be: (even if there is some lock-in period with new operator after porting) we can again come back to CDMA if required. Thanks for enlightening discussion. Regards Sanjay
  5. Dear Friends, We all know Mobile Number Portability is going to miss 31 Dec 2009 deadline. People like me are very tired of using the same CDMA handset for quite long. Will be willing to Port my number to GSM as soon as MNP starts. Can anyone tell me if it is or will be possible port number from RCDMA to RGSM after 31 dec 2009??? It is my suggestion for RCOM also as they have ways and means to get this Okyed by Govt. Regards
  6. Network Problem?

Dear Friends, if RGSM people dont inform subscribers about the expected improvement in the network. They will loose lot many subsribers who plan to migrate from CDMA to GSM after MNP. Would have definitely preffered RGSM if network was good. Yesterday I was at Madh Island, Mumbai, RGSM was dead when in some vehicle and very bad voice clarity when outside. RCDMA was having one signal bar was giving good voice clarity. My airtel was having 100% signal strength. Regards
  7. You are 100% right. Airtel has got this habit of singing good network tune whenever there is talk of tariff. As other Companies they too have more than 94% pre paid users. Let still better tariffs and they will see the logic. NOt so great tarriff.Even their network coverage is not so superior as claimed by airtel.
  8. Nokia 6275

Dear Friends, My Nokia6275 Shows Software Version as: V BL290V0100.nep 06-03-07 RM-154 ©NMP Can you tell me if any update avialable for this. I have tried Nokia Phone Software updater it works on my Nokia N86 but not on Nokia 6275. Awaiting your guidance. Regards
  9. Reliance Gsm Coverage

I fully agree with you 800 mhz is Very Strong and wider in Coverage, and 1800 mhz weaker but very good to reuse between towers as Range is low the same Frequency can reused for Better Customer Coverage thats the Reason 3G-GSM have Choosen 2.1 Ghz so same Frequency can be reused more time in City. Dear friends, Until now I was getting impeccable coverage on my CDMA network. I never faced a problem like voice breaking for the past 2.5 years i.e right from day one of taking my reliance CDMA connection. From the past few days I am seeing that I am facing voice breaks very often and the quality of speech on the phone is not as good as it used to be before. I am extremely disspointed. Any of u facing similar problems? And all thanks to their GSM services Dear Firends, I am at Thane near Mumbai me too facing same problem for last few weeks. very bad on Rcom part.
  10. Dear friends, Request you all to keep each other informed about RCom's GSM launch and tariff details for the same (whenever available). I have read in one article that RCom CDMA subscribers will have the option to migrate to RCom's GSM network with same number. Even before start of inter-operator Number Portability. Would it be a wise choice CDMA to GSM? Many like me must be in dilemma about real benefits of the same. Thanks
  11. Nokia 6265 CDMA Launched on Reliance Mobile now !

Dear friend, I agree with you 100% you have raised the right logical points. Even I am not going to buy this handset for which our other friends are craving for last one year and there was not even a single press release on this from Reliance. On top of it Reliance itself has applied for GSM liscences in Mumbai and Delhi then may shift over totally also. So whats the point wasting money on such high priced handset. And everyone knows what one gets for Reliance handsets when one goes for phone upgrade or service provider change. Hope our other friends do not let in to the temptation of new handset immediately. Regards Sanjay
