sgiitk replied to rajanmehta's topic in General Technical Discussion
The swipe type ATMs have this feature. Only the older 'capture' type ATMs allowed multiple transactions. They are in any case on the way out. -
Every Phone May Be A Cell-Tower
sgiitk replied to rajanmehta's topic in General Technical Discussion
Let us see. I doubt whether the phone battery will have to juice to work as a re-transmitter and last for long. -

Reliance Infotel LTE Ready Tablet for Rs 8,000
sgiitk replied to rajanmehta's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
You can trust our babus to cite some security threat and stop everything. They are doing it to 3G so how can 4G be allowed. They want 0G!! -
1.5 Ghz Dual Core Mobile Processor By Texas Instruments
sgiitk replied to rajanmehta's topic in Other handsets
Excellent. Only we must keep an eye on the juice it consumes. In any mobile app there is always a thin line between battery life and power! -
3G May Roll Out A Host Of Critical Ailments
sgiitk replied to nayasaroj's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
I think there has been too much noise on the 'brain frying issue'. You get reports one way and then the other. Also, with 3G visual content will dominate so the handsets will (hopefully) not be glued to the ear for very long. -
Let us look for it in CDMA. LG has often anointed itself as the CDMA master in the past!

Barkha Dutt, Vir Sanghvi -- Examples Of India's Unethical Money-Driven Media

I agree with dhiraj 200%. A very pathetic defence. Given a chance to say sorry, she did not even do that. -
Oops, it should have been Pandrol Clip!

BSNL to offer Landline to Landline STD Calls at Local Rates
sgiitk replied to Honest's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
So finally they have realised the they cannot charge a premium, esp. for a substandard service.. For quite some time Local and STD have been the same on the majority of mobile plans. What is interesting is that the tariff is valid for non-BSNL fixed (and WLL) phones. -

We have had Vote for Cash for ages, so why not Support for cash! There have been rumours for a long time, now a major paper has come out with an expose. -
The Most Awaited MNP Finally Introduced!
sgiitk replied to SumitVerma's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
They say that the roll out will be complete by 20th January!. Fantastic news. -
High time BSNL was privatised. Even today no on-line payment facility, service cannot be worse, complaints not attended to. Wind them up asap.

I now like the stylised lowe case 'a'. The first reaction was that it looked like a Pendle Clip - these are used to fix rails to the sleepers!

Consider 1. that one of the triggers of the brother's breakup was Reliance Communications about which ADA was not too keen, and in the partition he inherited it. 2. Non-compete is no loner valid. 3. MDA has bought the biggest broadband licensee in India. What are the odds that MDA will also enter mobile telephony, and we may see Ambani vs Ambani in the marketplace in say 3-5 years time. I would say pretty high!

CAG Report Indicts Raja and Anil Ambani
sgiitk replied to Himanshu Singh's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
SCAM gets deeper Seems that in 2006 Dayanidhi Maran told the PM to lay off the spectrum pricing. Obviously a case of Delhi Money for Karunanidhi calling the shots. I thought Dayanidhi was somewhat honest! -
I also held the view that a notebook gave you far more bang for the buck. However, if size is a criterion then ... Also, the apparent rarity of small (12-13") Notebooks at decent prices, without DVD's pushes you in that direction. I have an Acer 3801T bought last year and am quite happy with it. Only I had a battery change under warranty, so did a couple of colleagues who bought the same. My daughter-in-law had two battery changes within the one year. So I will be reluctant about Acer for the moment.

Please suggest a New CDMA Handset to replace Nokia 6275
sgiitk replied to amvarma's topic in Handset Suggestions
With the budget of 12k-max you can either get a BB or a mid range Android from this forum. Try and get a RIM registered set (*228 /HCC compatible), to avoid possible future hassles. If you are happy with Touch then prefer Android, otherwise go for BB. I have gone for the latter! -

By the looks of it the cat is out of the bag - quite likely it was CM Ibrahim! Of course he has tried to justify it.
