Reliance has launched an STV offering 10p/min Local on-net calling benefit. The STV is priced at Rs. 17. Is it Docomo effect. So for talking 1800 Local on-net minutes i.e. about an hour daily you pay Rs. 197 (picked up this logic from some other thread as I loved it) You can also activate this STV by sending "ACT SMS17" to 53739.

The total cost for a customer is infact lower in the new pack if he is just doing less than 125 SMS in a month. May be they are trying to reduce the traffic on their SMS gateway to improve service

RCOM showing a decent VLR % next only to Airtel, Idea & Voda. Even Tata & Uninor lagging behind. Not bad considering the amount of bad publicity they are gathering for network and other issues when compared to Doco & other newer operators

RCOM really lags in coverage in Maharashtra especially when you travel in coastal region (Konkan) but they have good coverage in many parts in country. Have experience of both traveling in Maharashtra & UP

You should get the tariff without doing any FRC. Just do a balance check once your RGSM SIM is active if it reflects around Rs. 10 balance then you have received benefit without any FRC. (wait for 3-4 Hrs after it gets active as they may take time to attach benefit to you) Share your experience for our benefits also.
