To use r-world key in LG-5130, you have to keep the key pressed for 2-3 seconds.
-
Its the old SMS to Many app renamed as message exp. There might be some changes too...don't know. I have not checked it myself.
-
Dear Abhay, Since its an old sim card, it is presumably beyond grace period. I assume its a prepaid, b'coz otherwise airtel would be sending monthly bills with the number printed on it. Having said all this, how can spdf make outgoing call to any other number (except airtel CC)?
-
The phonebook could be backed-up with LG PCsync software and data cable by any user...but I doubt whether they would be able to back-up other things like mms, sms etc.
-
No way till date...for 6130

RIM has got nothing to do with charging of mobiles thru' usb. Samsung phones (RIM) already have this feature, they get charged thru usb datacable. So if you use Samsung for r-connect, your phone won't die-out midway.
-
I would like to add: Latest version for LSP 350R also supports R-World (text-based only)...you could download ringtones from R-World.

If you keep it connected 24/7, battery would get adversely affected. Any rechargeable battery has limited life in terms of recharge cycles. Li-ion battery has a life of about 500-1000 recharge cycles. Since talktime availaible in cdma is normally of the order of 2-3 hrs max, it means the battery would get charged and discharged about 8-12 times a day or 240-360 times a month. Well, with such rigorous usage, your battery won't last more than 2-3 months.

I did not face any such problems...was surfing yesterday night with FWP and was getting good speed (thru'put of 45-50 kbps) . I think this problem is location specific...depends on total number of people using the network at a time, including on-going voice calls.
-
But if you send any MMS to your own phone no. from the portal using your own login id, you would definitely be charged.

Well ashoksoft, since the question has cropped-up, I would like to tell that I don't agree with you on Bitpim not supporting USB (or even partially supporting it). Since the beginning i.e. when LG-2030 filesystem was first hacked, I have been using bitpim 0.62 version for uploading RTs to my lg-2030 with usb cable. I was also able to view the filesystem of LSP-350R with bitpim (7.x version) using usb data cable. Although I have not tried any other phone model since I could not get my hands on any other. So, Bitpim DOES work with usb cable as well, atleast in case of LG-2030.

The most obvious reason to me seems to be that binary has got corrupted on your handset. So get the binary reburnt at any LG asc. Once, a friend of mine somehow got 240 messages saved in the sent folder of his LG 2030 ... YES 240 SMS's but all blank. I still don't understand how it happened. I suspect he used the "SMS to All" option in "R-world>SMS to Many"

15 bucks per session...

I was able to successfully transfer my phonebook from LG 6130 to Samsung-A563.
-
Oh that's great
-
Which version is the latest? Will the the latest version remove this bug?
-
Can you further elaborate? I mean how were you trying to download...from R-world or thru' MMS or bitpim or...etc

Upgrade your handsets software version to "brew" version (it is available in LG service centre). Then u can c one extra menu in ur phone"Melody shop".Tehn download ringtone from the gallery, connect with a serial cable(am using cable or LGRD6130) then u can c 1 extra directory.Click it and save. I will post more detail very soon Cheers 42388[/snapback] Is the new "brew" version applicable for Reliance fwp also? As far as I understand, software's in these cdma phones are written for specific operators and are not generic. I guess the new brew version might be allowing ringtone download because tata would have asked LG to provide it because they may be planning to start ringtone download service even for their fwp's.

I'm also facing the same problem. Few missed calls don't get registered. It's a random phenomenon...i mean a missed call from the same number gets registered sometimes and sometimes it does'nt.
-
Yes, I also frequently download pics from phone to PC using LG linkstarter, although it does not allow uploading from PC to phone. SrimanKerkar: If LG desktop is able to connect to the your phone, then LG link should also be able to connect...there might be some problem with the configuration. But it will surely work, just try to uninstall and install again.

and except its price
-
Dear ani_meher, The answer is NO. Ringtones cannot be uploaded using bitpim, qpst or any other software directly thru' pc. MMS is the only known method as of now for 6130 model.

Credit Limit On Reliance Postpaid Subscribers
amtrag replied to bellamkonda's topic in Reliance Communications
That is why they warn you at 80% of credit limit (as per the opening post in this thread) and not 100% . So there should not be any case (for suing reliance). -
Seems like your phone is dying...not just the battery pack... Get it checked at LG service center.

I guess the Charging control circuit inside the handset is the heat generator and not the battery itself. After all, the control circuit has to pass the charging curent (of the order of an ampere or half) through its transistors which causes heating.
