Phone's Lock mode default password is 0000 or else whatever you have changed to. LG link asks for this same password. Do one thing...first confirm your phone's password and make a note of it. Then, go the C:\Program Files\LG Electronics\LG Link and locate a file "LinkUser.dat" and delete it. This file stores the user name/password. Now, when you run LG linc again, it will ask for new user registration. Use the same password you noted in above step. Hope, it solves your problem.

That's the million $ question. I have also succeeded in transferring address book & photos from phone to PC. But uploading to phone is disabled in LG Link s/w. I think this feature has been locked by LG in our H/S. It can also not be done using bitpim as the user folders are invisible (hidden).

LG-6000 does support mp3 format. But max size limit is only 2mb.

yes there's one cdma "handset"....the data card of Sierra make that supports sms from PC. But it's cost is prohibitlvely high.

Arun, Images clicked with the camera can be saved to a PC using data cable. I have done it myself uding LG Linc software (not LG Sync).

Hey guys, Has anyone noticed that the blue backlight beneath the 4-way navigation keys blink intermittently, with about 15-30 sec intervals. Has it anything to do with network (signal) availability? Can anybody throw some more light on this?

What??? LG 7230's are no more available anywhere....except if you could get hold of an used one. So practically, you have only one option and that is to buy 6130 Or else, you may consider LG6000 which is also a clam shell design like 7230 and a good phone. I have purchased a travel charger for my 2030 after using the desktop charger for 2 years. It is much more convenient to use...no blinking light problem and smaller to carry around (while travelling). It costs 550/- at WW, although I used part of Rs.1000 free vouchers I recd from Reliance. (i.e. as Privileged Customer Rewards)

I agree with what you are saying. And you are only consolidating my point that if green light is on, it means no flow of current--->implies no charging (charging means there has to be a flow of current ) So, when green light lights up, charging stops.

These Li-ion batteries are so sensitive to overcharging that even a slight overcharge could easily destroy them. I think it stops charging...because so many times I have left my phone on charging overnight and remove it in the morning and the battery works fine.

Well Anujit, The issue here is not of cost effectiveness. It is of convenience for those customers who are willing to pay any amount for a service that is truly beneficial for them in some way or the other. The purpose of a laptop is mobility that is why laptops and it's accessories are much costlier than desktops. Else why spend ~50K on a laptop if you could get a desktop for ~15K?

Thanks Neo. And guys guess what??? This baby ringtone is a wave file and I have saved it as a ringtone! So a new discovery, 6130 does support voice ringtones and that too in .wav format. So we need not worry about converting mp3's to midi...instead just convert any song to wav and hear the song play as a ringtone. Do check in your handsets.

No td, you CAN send group sms with ver 15. I have it and am using this feature. But you have to create sms groups first (Press Menu+2+8 to reach sms groups menu) You cannot use the groups directly from your address book.

Any noticable enhancements/improvements Chirag? I have ver 15 and many a times, missed calls don't get recorded in call history. So a missed call itself gets missed...

No need to setup smtp server. Simply mail the wallpaper (jpg file) or ringtone (.mid file) as attachment from your hotmail account to your mobile no. in the format: 9193xx@mms.ricmail.com I have sucessfully tried the same... you may also try other mail accounts (like yahoo etc). Gmail did'nt work for me though. (I have tried this on my 6130)
