Hi , I am trying to connect to R Connect using Linux 8.0 it is not detecting the Modem following is the dump of /var/log/messages. Hi I am also facing the same problem while connecting thru my laptop. Actually latest model laptop don't have a serial ports they come with usb ports. So one has to use these cables (Prolific) for making this usb to serial but this some how dosen't works with this R Connect thing. Is there any cable available for LSP 340E which is for usb ? becoz reliance has usb cables but that is for the mobile phone not for 340E/250 models. If anyone can provide more info thanks in advance

Hi , I am having a Laptop (XP) which is not having a serial port (as they come with out one nowadays) I want to connect to internet using my FWT . I got a prolific usb to serial convertor cable. Installed the driver for the same. It recognises the phone on com5 port and completes the RConnect S/W installation. But when I try to connect to the internet it gives error 692 : hardware failure I checked the cables they are fine. following is the modem log. Need some help as trying this for quite some time now.
