How To Get Cellular Towers In Society?
santanu@impaq replied to mastermunj's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
The RF power output of the Radio Units in Urban GSM config are nowadays limited to 40Watts per channel. If you are more than 10 meters away from an antenna, the ill effects are not apparent as per varoius studies. BUT !!! What do you say about putting a 2 Watt ( that is GSM Max ) transmitter right on your head barely a few milimeter from your brain. Mind you, even if you disregard the radiation , it is also a small local microwave heater on your head. Just kidding ! Lets enjoy the friuts of the cellphone revolution. RADIATION IS EVERYWHERE! -
MTS To launch 14.7 Mbps - EVDO Rev.B
santanu@impaq replied to kesav's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
EVDO Rev B with 3X Carrier on 800 Mhz Band is the ultimate in Data throughput. Since 3.75 Mhz of available spectrum would be used up by EVDO alone, voice on 1X might suffer congestion as of now . Till the time additional spectrum is made available. Currently defence is sitting on some of it which will be freed and given to telecom operators. -
Incoming Call Problem on Tata Indicom
santanu@impaq replied to sougatadc's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Also signal strength at my office in Okhla Ph-III is about -75dbm which is quite good. Even then my phone remains unreachable at my office most of the time. When I try to make a call, it sometimes takes more than 90 secs for call to get negotiated which is also very high. The phenomenon still remains unanswered. -
Incoming Call Problem on Tata Indicom
santanu@impaq replied to sougatadc's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
I agree with gaurang but how do you explain that all other hansets using tata are working fine in the same places. I tried adjusting ACCOLC manually inserted all the 20 sets of SID/NID pairs for Tata. Did a *228 and sucessfully downloaded PRL 00001 into the phone But no improvement. BTW my old Touchpro is performing fine in those places. Sent from my Droid Incredible using Tapatalk -
Incoming Call Problem on Tata Indicom
santanu@impaq replied to sougatadc's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
I am also facing same problem as sougata ji in HTC Incredible but only in certain places in Delhi like Okhla Ph-III , Some areas in Janakpuri, etc. In most other places it works fine. I checked with other tata phones at the problematic places but they were working fine. What could be the reason. A-key / SSD Mismatch ? Can anybody help. -
Network Crash Points To Airtel System Loopholes
santanu@impaq replied to Karthik R's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Our Company is providing maintenance of power supplies / UPS / Rectifiers for Indus. Though we are not directly involved in the Radio Infrastructure but I can say that this problem is due to overlaying of 2.1GHz Radio units alongside the old 900/1800 DRUs and simultaneously using the old microwave infrastructure for Tower to Tower to MSC datalinks. The multiplicity of devices have made the network very complex. Airtel Delhi is the oldest operator using oldest equipment and has very heavy traffic. Others can also face such problems though companies like vodafone have slowing been upgrading their older systems. These kind of outrages are not likely in CDMA systems. Interconnectivity in CDMA is through fibre optic links and also for CDMA to work, all Towers in same SID have to transmit in sync ( CDMA is different technology all together ) -
How To Switch Off Balance Dispay After Call?
santanu@impaq replied to AmanJ's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Kindly post the reg edit -
propogation loss is very high at 2Ghz levels. EVDO on 800Mhz will definitely offer more consistant performance especially indoors.

It is actually the standby backup where root scores. In terms of goodies NRG offer a lot more.
-
Task 29 highly recomended. It formats the ROM accessable area of NAND Flash. Almost all nick and issues get solved after a Task 29. The July14.Sense2.5.Cookie of NRZ is a good ROM . Tried it on 15th July and till 17th night and found it to be good/almost flawless But went back to RootROM since I found it faster/ more responsive
-
Also my advice is not to use NRG on TP. Highly modded and too much Bloat. Slows down device considerably. Erratic Hardware keyboard behaviour. Altough these are my personal observations.
-
Hardspl if not already done Then install any custom rom for TP Your Reliance programming will remain unaffected. You will need to redo the data provisioning in the new rom but that is easy. Search the forum and you will find all your answers. In the unlikely event of anything going wrong help is available.

@dhiraj You are lucky if this problem is not there in the hanset. We want to go for incredible but are sceptical on these observations made by numerous people.
-
WM loyalist abhi bhi hain but are becoming endangered species courtesy the non responsiveness of microsoft to revamp their OS I am very sceptical that wm7 will be able to survive the linux onslaught in the mobile domain. In case of PC microsoft was way ahead of linux in terms of timeline and normal/regular PC users could not adapt to linux that fast. Android has changed the mobile domain and rush past wm to a considerable distance.
-
@tushar This unresponsive touch screen phenomenon is being observed widespread in incredible. Happens only when you keep the hanset insulated and use only one finger on the screen. If you are holding the hanset then no problem is observed
-
My Take is OMJ for Diamond and RootRom for TP. For TP2 NRG is a good option

Count me in for a share. Earlier I tried HTC Shift, Then tried Raon Everun, Thereafter went for a Samsung Q1 Ultra. These devices were too heavy. I just eneded up wasting a lot of money. This device seems interesting

3.8" with Super AMOLED is the max option for a handy phone. Anything more is a tablet - An idea already proved worthless by the UMPC revolution 2~3 yeras ago. I had tried q1ultra and OQO, both useless.

Reliance 1X Network is EVRC-B Capable all over india. They implemented in 2008 end itself

WCDMA is primarily used for voice traffic in the 2.1 GHz Band by GSM operators.( even GSM pro do recognize that Code Division method is able to utilize spectrum more efficiently. ) For DATA currently HSDPA protocols are used in most part of the world. CDMA EVDO uses one full downlink carrier 1.25Mhz wide exclusively for carrying data, with various revisions enhancing data throughput. New Rev B combines 3 carriers of 1.25Mhz resulting in download speeds upto 9.3 mbps

+1 Muffy is the one. Worldwide CDMA Doctor Operators ki aisi ki taisi.

Hey Doc Just take vandie's comments with a pinch of salt. He is a die hard fan of windows Mobile. It will take him so more time to adjust to the changing scenerio. Usko ukse haal par chor do........................
