Hi Guys I am facing a problem with my Dad's Nokia 6225. Whenever I connect it through the DKU5 cable to my pc and start the pc suite (cdma version), the phone shows "DATA CONNECTION ENDED". I am not able to connect it to pc through the data cable. There is no problem with the cable as it is working fine with my brother's Nokia 6610i. Even Nokia Care (Brightpoint Delhi) is not able to resolve this problem. Can anyone help me out? Is anyone else facing the same problem? Please reply guys. Thanks! NetSavvy

the applications cannot be put to this phone? man thats's the only reason i was going after this phone. 36305 I think he is trying to say that "THROUGH INFRARED" java apps can not be installed. He has not yet tried it with the DKU2 USB cable. I believe it will work fine with the cable support.

Hey vb86 I am not endorsing 6255. All I want to say is that in 12.5K, you can't expect everything to be perfect. I hope u know that Nokia has a tradition of not providing all the perfect things in a single device. I just wanted to say that there is some or the other problem in every Nokia phone. Bye n take care! NetSavvy

Hey vb86 Do u mean that there is limit of 15 seconds in video recording? I don't agree with you when u say that it is better to get a gsm at this price. I think 6230i would have been the best option but has a really small screen. 3230 is a series 60 phone but it does not support stereo output for mp3. Both these r around 15K in Delhi. 6600 and 7610 also don't have stereo output, neither do they have fm radio. The best GSM phone in my opinion which has stereo support with mp3 and fm radio is Sony Ericsson K750i, but it is around 19K. SE K700i is also a good option at just 11K but it doesn't have expandable memory. If u want a very good camera along with all the features of 6255, I think you will have to wait for another 6 months or so and let 6265 arrive. Bye n take care! NetSavvy

Hi all Whenever a new handset is launched, there are some categories which are not fully functional in the R-World menu. I can say this coz when I bought my LG RD 5130, it didn't have mobile banking, greetings and many more features. I sent an email to the chairman regarding this. I got a call back from CC the same day and they said that it will take about a month or so for R-World to be fully functional on the 5130. So, I suggest you guys to have patience and wait for some time. I am sure R-World will be fully functional soon on 6255. Anyone who has bought it can bring this to the Chairman's notice by sending an email stating all the non-functional categories which are not there in 6255. Bye n take care! NetSavvy

Hi Akshat I think you are talking about the new Nokia 6265 CDMA phone. I checked it on the Nokia Asia website. It is in upcoming phones section. I wonder if it is going to be launched in India this year. It is scheduled to be launched in fourth quarter of 2005. Regarding the price, I don't think it is going to cost below 20K. It has awesome features. 262K Color screen, 2MP Camera and what not. Check it out here http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,8764,74933,00.html Bye n take care! NetSavvy

The GSM operators like Airtel use the word Start Up Kit (SUK) for their SIM card kit and Reliance Infocom uses the word Get Started Kit (GSK). I think there is no basic difference. If someone asks for a SUK at Reliance WW, surely he/she is asking for GSK only!

Hi Solanky You can access R-World and send SMS only and only if your net balance is greater than 0. No matter how much your validity is left, but you must have some balance. Few days ago I had a balance of Rs.25 but still was not able to send SMS or access R-World. On calling up CC I came to know that my pending balance was Rs.39 which was to deducted later when I recharge my account. So the effective balance was -14. So if your pending balance exceeds your existing balance (net balance becomes less than 0) then also you can't access R-World. I hope you got your answer. Bye n take care! NetSavvy

RIM supports almost all the 4 digit content based services like 8888, 2525, 2424, 7333, 3366, 8558, 7827. For more info go to R-World-->Hot n New-->SMS Special. Regarding the ringtones download through 8888, if your handset has R-World support, you can download polyphonic as well as monophonic ringtones. But if you are using the one without R-World, you can download only monophonic ringtones.

The official price is between Rs. 12,500 to 12,999.

Hi Guys I just checked the official RIM website and found that the handset page now contains the new Nokia 6255. Check it out http://www.relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/Rim/h..._nokia6255.html Thanks NetSavvy

Never buy a handset from WW or WWE. They always quote the highest possible price. Always buy from your local dealer.

Jus wait for a couple of days for your phone to get activated on the MMS Portal. It does definitely work till now!! Keep Trying, thats the best way to get ringtones/wallpapers. Make sure u reduce the size of wallpapers / ringtones n keep them within 80-100kB. And i think adding more slides than 1 to the MMS thru the Portal doesn't work. It gives error on the recd mms at the phone. 36036 Do I have to subscribe seperately to send mms through this portal? Are there any additional charges? Please tell me how to send mms to my LG RD 5130 through internet.

Hi Guys I just checked the Nokia India website. They have now put the Nokia 6255 in the "Current" phone models. One more thing, there is no data cable in the sales package. You will have to get a DKU 2 data cable for data transfers. Keep updating this post. Thanks NetSavvy

Hi Guys I again called up the CC and guess what, they have all the info about the phone. It supports mp3 ringtones, so no more disappointment over 16-chord polyphonic ringtones. It has fully functional R-World (first Nokia CDMA to have it). It has a digital music player which supports mp3 and aac formats. A 32MB MMC comes bundled with the set. The memory can be extended upto 512MB.They don't have any info about camera (frame rate, mega pixels etc.). If any one finds more info, please put it up here. Thanks NetSavvy

Hi Can any1 tell me whether the mp3/aac player in this phone is stereo or mono? I visited many websites regarding its features, including the official website, but nowhere I can find this. Just now I called up the CC, they had no clue about the phone. Can anyone tell me what's the price in Delhi? Thanks NetSavvy

Hi Friend I think it depends on ur priorities, if u want to choose between N6225 and LG RD 6130. N6225 has FM Radio and above all the Nokia reliability, but it lacks R-World. On the other hand LG RD 6130 has R-World, 65K colours. Personally, if I had to make a choice, I would have been gone for N6225. My papa is using N6225, so if u want to know about the experience with it, u can pm me. Bye n take care! NetSavvy
