  1. Yahoo Invisible Buddy Detectors

^^^ Thanks for new addition !
  2. T-Mobile G1 Teardown

There's an insane number of parts, and the way they put it together seems, well, complex. Make sure you give the sliding mechanisms a peek near the bottom. For starters though, we introduce to you, the block diagram. The Qualcomm MSM7201A, which was previously used in later US iterations of the Touch Diamond and the Touch Pro (teardown coming!), comes full force in the G1. Similar to the BlackBerry Storm, the GPS and audio processing components are embedded into the processor. Fortunately, HTC has had much experience using the processor, although it runs a brand new OS. Running alongside the processor is the transceiver and power management ICs, Qualcomm RTR5285, and Qualcomm PM7540, respectively. For the actual PCBs, there are two main PCBs housing most of the components. The main PCB is shown directly below, while the "Chin" PCB that's literally housed in the chin section, is shown underneath. As shown above, Avago makes an appearance, providing amplifiers for both GSM and UMTS power amplifiers (ACPM-7381 & ACPM-7391), and TriQuint comes with its usual GSM power amplifiers (TQS 7M5008). The NAND Flash + DDR SDRAM is handled by a Samsung MCP. SMSC provides the USB PHY handling the connection from the processor to the PC. Asahi Kasei makes an interesting appearance with the first (to our knowledge) appearance of a compass IC. Texas Instruments takes care of the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chips (both on the "Chin" PCB, shown above). The trackball, as noted by other teardowns, is the same module as the one on nearly every BlackBerry (except the upgraded trackball found on the Javelin). Another interesting thing is the two vibration motors included. One on the display module, and one on the main PCB. The display panels are shown below. This part is pretty cool, because housed within the screen casing is four large parts. On the front of the actual casing (image above, below left) is the capacitive touch panels, with Synaptics handling the controllers and everything else touchscreen-related. Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for. The back of the casing (shown below), showcases swooping action (we're seriously too in love). The translational springs on this puppy are strong as hell. But it needs to be so, since it has to drive a large screen around an arc. It's interesting to note how much effort HTC seems to have put in to produce a clean swooping action. Perhaps we're overthinking this. With everything set to go, here's your aggregated image!

  5. New Nokia Phone For Rs. 500

yes Rs 500 for new, and it is not demo cellphone kept in showroom they are going to develop new low cost models @ that rate.
  6. ^^^ If it is XP Pro, it is relatively easy to do, first logon with Admin rights, go to My Computer, click Tools, Folder Options, scroll to the bottom and uncheck 'Use simple file sharing'. Ok out of that. Now here is where the administrative fun begins, go to start, control panel, select switch to classic view, click on users, add her as a limited access user and set a password. You may also want to set a password for yourself and the admin account (only if you have not done so yet.) For security, you may also want to select change the way users log on and off, and disable use welcome screen and fast user switching. When that is setup go back to My Computer and click on the f drive, look for any folder that has a hand holding it, this means that that folder is shared. Right click on the shared folder, click properties, click the sharing tab, select do not share this folder, repeat for all folders having a shared status. Last, right click on the F drive, select properties, then click security tab, first, click on the Everyone group and select remove. Now click on the users group and uncheck everything, now click on advanced, click on anything that says users and click remove. While there click add, advanced, find now, find your personal account and add it in and give it full control. Also, in this list, if you see anything for the group everyone, delete it. To test this out, logout and login as her and try to access the drive, you should get access denied. Remember, security is like door locks, they keep honest people out, since there are ways to overwrite it (like a linux Windows rescue cd for example, which would allow full read-write access to the ntfs drives, provided the user knows how to mount them in Linux) For added security, I would set a BIOS password (for the setup part only), disable boot from CD and boot from floppy, and disable boot from USB (unless your system boots from a USB drive). Just don't forget your BIOS password. Hope this works for you.

  14. This could one day replace silicon to give us... LUDICROUS SPEED! While the flat out GigaHertz race is no longer a priority, we all still get impressed at high clock frequencies. IBM researchers have demonstrated a radio-frequency graphene transistor with the highest cut-off frequency achieved so far for any graphene device - 100 GHz. "A key advantage of graphene lies in the very high speeds in which electrons propagate, which is essential for achieving high-speed, high-performance next generation transistors," said Dr. T.C. Chen, vice president, Science and Technology, IBM Research. "The breakthrough we are announcing demonstrates clearly that graphene can be utilized to produce high performance devices and integrated circuits." Here is the deal on the graphene from IBM: Graphene is a single atom-thick layer of carbon atoms bonded in a hexagonal honeycomb-like arrangement. This two-dimensional form of carbon has unique electrical, optical, mechanical and thermal properties and its technological applications are being explored intensely. Uniform and high-quality graphene wafers were synthesized by thermal decomposition of a silicon carbide (SiC) substrate. The graphene transistor itself utilized a metal top-gate architecture and a novel gate insulator stack involving a polymer and a high dielectric constant oxide. The gate length was modest, 240 nanometers, leaving plenty of space for further optimization of its performance by scaling down the gate length. It is noteworthy that the frequency performance of the graphene device already exceeds the cut-off frequency of state-of-the-art silicon transistors of the same gate length (~ 40 GigaHertz). Similar performance was obtained from devices based on graphene obtained from natural graphite, proving that high performance can be obtained from graphene of different origins. Previously, the team had demonstrated graphene transistors with a cut-off frequency of 26 GigaHertz using graphene flakes extracted from natural graphite. Source : Tom's Hardware US
