This method was discovered by Dan Rosenberg Just tested by me on XT912 working on reliance that too in NV_Mode. works perfectly without any issues.... just extract the below zip file and run the RUN.BAT with admin privilege It will root and install busybox on 4.1.2. but only works with Razr Maxx XT 912. and OS 4.1.2 Link :- http://vulnfactory.org/public/razr_blade.zip Copyright © 2012 Dan Rosenberg (@djrbliss) Step by step ... 1) first reboot the phone (to kill all unwanted apps running) 2) after fully boot process is complete. turn on USB debugging from settings (you know where it is) 3) connect phone to pc , 4) if drivers are not installed, then wait mostly they will get autoinstalled in windows 7 and above (or you can download from google) 5) after driver installation is finished. open the folder where you have unziped above RAZR_blade.zip 6) from razr_blade, look for RUN.BAT 7) right click on run.bat and select run an Administrator. 8) then just follow the on screen instructions (they are very clear) and complete the process of root 9) it will also install superSU and busybox ... 10) enjoy rooted XT912 on 4.1.2 for 4.0.4 you can use motochoper method.

I do agree on above, but there are many manufacturers dont allow, mostly with old builds. Also it is always better to test it from outside the network, and thats the main purpose for port FWD for DVR

Prove me wrong then !! i will be happy to learn . most of the low end routers dont support "routeback" and they fails to load their own port on static IP. Also its better to test port FWD from out side the network. It will work, the DVR installs a ActiveX application on to the browser to make it work. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk Active X and port FWD is nothing to do. ActiveX by DVR is for communication over internet, even you connect DVR directly to internet (w/o port FWD) it will ask you to install ActiveX .

just putting this for information.. suppose you have your static ip = 111.111.111.111 and you have forwarded the port no 8080 to local ip (DVR) after forwarding is setup in routed, you cannot open 111.111.111.111:8080 in your local network, for local network always use local ip :8080 for testing port FWD, you need to test from outside network only.

you need to tell your router following 1) IP address of DVR 2) on which port DVR is working Your DVR should be on internal static IP address. and should have same range IP address of Router. if you dont have static IP then you need to depend on DDNS servers like dyndns or DtDNS etc.. few are free and few are chargeable. Also DDNS update client need to be compatible with your DVR or router ... even you can keep a PC client, but need pc online 24x7 (not convenient)

you can use any backup software, and destination folder would be local drop-box folder dropbox pc client will automatically upload those file to drop-box server also u can set backup utility to delete old backup and save space of pc and drop-box
