you will require following software to wipe and install 1) BBSAK (GUI ver of JL commander) 2) Blackberry desktop manager (Ver 4.2 or 4.5) 3) BB OS (link given by me) Now follow these steps Remove the battery of BB8830 Open Blackberry Desktop Manager Insert the battery in 8830 and let it boot fully. then Connect your 8830 to PC via its USB cable. Your Blackberry desktop manager will connect to 8830 and will show its PIN at the bottom Leave the BB DM open (require for com port to be active) Then open BBSAK (you required a live net connection to run it) It will ask for a device password (if you have set the password BBSAK will connect to your BB and it will also show your PIN and black color bb8830 on the software. You will see 4 buttons on BBSAK backup / restore tab. you have to click wipe device. it will ask you "Are you sure? This is low level wipe" Yes or No. Click Yes and wait for 30sec. It will show one window, just click OK, Your 8830 will restart and will show "Error 507" Now close BB DM and open again. It will show device not connected. Now Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader Start application loader from DM. Just follow the instruction on screen most of them are next next. It will start loading apps to your blackberry, it will load JVM etc etc. It will reboot two time. On 2nd boot it will take more time (5-20min). After that you are done ! If this did not help, you need to nuke your BB with MFI !
