This 7-inch tablet looks like an oversized Android smartphone. Shanzai.com has managed to get its hands on a Eken M001 tablet, the iPad rival that will supposedly have a starting pricepoint of a meager $100 USD. According to the site, the device sports a WonderMedia PRIZM MW8505 processor clocked at 600 MHz, 2 GB of internal NAND flash storage, 128 MB of DDR2 RAM, an audio port, an SD card reader (of up to 32 GB), and a 7-inch, 800 x 380 TFT screen. The device also operated by Android v1.6. However the product page reports a little differently, saying that--in addition to the Android OS--users will have the option of choosing basic Win CE 6.0 (for an extra $2.20 USD) or Win CE 6.0 with a browser ($11 USD). Internet and network connectivity is achieved through the device's docking station (Ethernet 10/100 and 802.11b/g). The device also features a built-in 1.3MP camera, and will also support an external hard drive of up to 16 GB in capacity. Unfortunately, Shanzai wasn't thrilled about the battery. "If they can improve the battery life on the next revision of this, the M001 is going to be a very attractive device at this price point," the site said. There seems to be some hope that Android-based tablets will give the iPad "a real run for its money" in the performance arena by the end of the year. To see a video demonstration, check out Shanzai's video below. EKEN M001

automatic updating coming to the next OS release? ZoomPhandroid managed to score a couple of screenshots showing Android 2.2 "Froyo" running on a MyTouch 3G. The screens came from an "android trusted tester" via 4Chan, and shows both the version number and another highly-anticipated feature. There's indication that the images could possibly be a fake, however with Froyo out and about in Rumorland, chances are the images are legit. he big scoop in this latest brief is the possible arrival of automatic updating. Froyo may allow users to choose whether to let the installed application update itself, or let the end-user decide when or if to update. On one hand, this would be a welcome feature for heavily-used apps like Google Maps, Slacker Radio, XXX Videos Viewer, and more. However this could be problematic if the update has an unintentional glitch, rendering the app useless. As reported earlier, Android 2.2 will supposedly offer performance enhancements to the OS including additional RAM for the end-user, support for Adobe Flash 10.1, new APIs that will unleash OpenGL 2.0's entire library to developers, and a possible refinement to the touchscreen resolution, making for more accurate selections. Of course, none of this has been officially confirmed, so chalk these features up as mere rumor. If Google does plan to implement an automatic update feature, then the company also needs to consider a rollback feature for faulty patches. There's certainly nothing more annoying than broken software thanks to a bad update, leaving end-users nowhere to turn but to sit and wait on a fix for a fix. A rollback feature would definitely be ideal for the next update.

Reliance Netconnect 1X Unlimited? On Prepaid..
::Hitesh:: replied to faizone's topic in Data services
^^^ Go to reliance WW, ask them to stop the service of BB+, and then your number will be de-provision , then ask them to give normal 1x connection on same card, or if you have ruim card , then just take a new pre paid number and put 801 plan for data on it. -
So now i think your profile it will be : HTC Incredible - w00t w00t!!

The HTC Incredible, the supposed Verizon phone which appeared a few weeks ago is back! This time the phone is in Verizon's inventory system. Is a launch imminent? While nothing is for certain, we can only speculate that it might possibly be coming soon. According to Gizmodo, the phone is going to run Android 2.1 with a Snapdragon processor and 256MB of RAM. Reports are also claiming that it will sport either a 3.5 or 3.7-inch WVGA display. We can only hope this device will be appearing soon. I for one, can't wait to get my hands on it. Check out the video below if you want to see the device for your self.

Friends, If you are on reliance and using imported non sim mobiles, dont do *228 from your mobiles, use the original sim card for doing any communication to reliance, communications like *228 or visiting to reliance WW etc. EDIT :- if it is for AKEY as Dr said, then dont follow my instructions.

How You Handle Calls missed due to active data connection?
::Hitesh:: replied to phonegeek's topic in Data services
As Aalok said call forward is only one workaround. get a R-R free and divert your calls to other reliance number. also sms send receive works while data is on. -
