Which handset for using internet with NetConnect (CDMA)?
::Hitesh:: replied to mittu1810's topic in Data services
1) Netconnect setup is like creating any general dial-up connection with Reliance number as user name and password. 2) for LG 3540 use Nokia CA101 or any micro usb cable, cost from Rs 50 to 150 in local market. 3) google it ! -
solution for problem no-1 Go to SMS inbox--->Go to Menu--->tools---->options...--->tap two times on "Text Messages" options will open, in that you will find "Request delivery notifications" just tick mark it and click ok. DONE !! For using Phone as modem, you have to enable modem in phone also u will require modem drivers for you OS.

Bill Gates has once again been bumped out of the top spot on Forbes' rich list. Forbes has released its list of the richest people on Earth and tycoon Carlos Slim has nabbed the top spot meaning Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world. According to Forbes, Bill has been the world's richest man for 14 of the last 15 years previous. The title was awarded to Warren Buffet in 2008, but Bill came back to take the top spot in 2009. So who's the new guy? Carlos Slim is a 70-year-old Mexican telecoms mogul who placed third on last year's list. Slim boasts a net worth of $53.5 billion and owns a $23 billion stake in America Movil. Shares for AM were up 35 percent in a year and in the last 12 months alone, Slim's fortune has risen by $18.5 billion. Bill Gates is currently worth $53 billion, up $13 billion in the last 12 months, and Warren Buffet's fortune jumped $10 billion to $47 billion.

Internet Gets Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize
::Hitesh:: posted a topic in General Technical Discussion
A huge number of people disapproved of the decision to award Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize but one of the nominees this year will likely cause even more debate. The BBC reports that the Internet is said to be among the 237 individuals and organizations nominated for this year's Nobel Peace Prize. The Norwegian Nobel Committee decided the shortlist of nominees on March 9, however the list is never publicly announced. That said, nominators are free to divulge who they put forward, and according to the BBC, 2003 Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi and Nicholas Negroponte, the founder of the OLPC foundation, which developed the $100 laptop, support the nomination for the Internet. The Internet was submitted for helping advance "dialogue, debate and consensus." We'll find out on October 9 if the Nobel Peace Prize (and it's $1.4 million reward) will be awarded to the Internet. -

New Harddrives May Force Windows Xp Upgrades
::Hitesh:: posted a topic in General Technical Discussion
A change in hard drive format may force Windows XP users to upgrade to Windows 7. An article provided by BBC News paints a rather grim picture for Windows XP consumers. It may seem that those still clinging to the fear that Windows 7 will eventually pan out to be another Windows Vista may have no choice but to take the upgrade plunge thanks to the evolution of the hard drive. This won't mean an early death of XP by any means, but more of a performance hit despite other system specs. Here's how it will work: most hard drives sold in late 2011 may use an advanced format that will make it easier for hard drive manufacturers to produce bigger drives while making them more reliable and less power hungry. Of course, this is a good thing. Bigger games, bigger software, and our addiction to downloadable media means that hard drives need to keep up with the times. Unfortunately, this is where Windows XP comes crashing down in flames. Current drives are formatted into blocks of 512 bytes in size--this has been standard since the days DOS ruled PCs. By the end of 2011, all new hard drives will be formatted into blocks of 4K in size. Windows XP doesn't know how to handle sectors of that magnitude. To resolve the conflict, the new drives will have the ability to "pretend" they still use sectors 512 bytes in size. Reading data via the emulation isn't expected to be a problem: it's the data writing that may impact performance. "All other things being equal you will have a noticeable hard drive reduction in performance," said David Burks, a product marketing manager for storage firm Seagate. He also added that it could make a drive 10-percent slower in some circumstances. With that said, Windows XP users may have some decision-making to do next year if their current drives fail: purchase a new drive and suffer a reduction in performance via Windows XP, or purchase the new drive and a fresh copy of Windows 7. -
