thanx for the response, i am a postpaid user.but i cannot use call conferencing and call waiting. the call waiting just gives 3-5 beeps and then goes off and there seems to be no way i can take that call and then return back to my first call or do a conference.i dunno if its a handset issue or operator issue. thanx

Hi all 6255 users, I have a small problem.pl help me. I am unable to set up call waiting and call conferencing on my nokia 6255 handset. when i am on a call and if i get a second call i can see the number and option to answer the second call. The moment i answer the call the display changes into "Multicall" and not the original number anymore. Also the first call disappears the monent i take the second call so i cannot comeback to the first call. because of this i cannot have a call conferencing between 2 calls. pl help me on this.i am sure i will get a soultion here. Users who click on the link, then download and run the executable, are in reality installing the Virkel.f Trojan. Virkel.f adds the compromised machine to a botnet, from which the hacker can update the Trojan with additional malicious code, to make the PC into a spam zombie or along with others, launch a denial-of-service (DoS) attack on Web sites. Virkel.f also shuts down anti-virus and security software, and blocks access to sites that belong to security vendors. This bot worm spreads by hijacking IM contact names from an infected computer, then spimming those names with new messages about the "leaked" client. Live Messenger, which is being tested by a limited number of users, recently made news when some began selling invitations to the beta test on eBay. Guys and Gurus, i have observed one thing.In the 6255 the music and camera dont work simultaneously. i mean when i am listening to mp3 or FM and i start the camera for a picture or a video the music stops playing and resumes once you exit from the camera. Any guesses?? Mayur. P.S. I just love my 6255.Lucky for me my phone has not troubled me at all.I have not had any problems as mostly mentioned here.Only thing that s**ks is that there are no accessories available in India for this phone But i must say that rimweb simply rocks. I totally relied on this forum before i could buy this phone and i recomend rimwen to all my friends who are not aware of it.keep up the good work mods. Belated B'day wishes.

ok guys, can anyone help me in finding a cover for the 6255 in mumbai ?? Its not on ebay.I went everywhere Alfa,Heera pana,almost all the local shops n carts in fort,colaba even tried nokia and its distributors but no one has a cover for the phone . everyone just admires the phone,asks questions about the price and features and say NO they dont hv anything for such a phone. all that people have to offer is some kind if a pouch for the belt which is NOT what i am looking for.I need a full cover for the phone.I travel a lot by public transport here in mumbai and it gets difficult to use the phone in all that sweat n dust n rains. the thing is i like this phone so much that i dont want it to look any older than what it is now. So please if any1 i mean any1 who is in mumbai and know of some place where i can get my hands on one or can even sell me the cover via this forum do mesg me urgently i will contact you imm. great info on the playlist option mukul one issue though,the way audio manager responds with my 6255 while making playlists is very sslow.is that normal? the software kinda hangs then responds automatically but takes a lot of time to create playlists/add files etc. pl advice. Also does anyone here have any cover options for 6255.i mean not the panels but the external leather/plastic/transparent cover type which covers the entire phone.pl help. Mayur

Hi Guys, One more thing i might add about shortcuts on this phone 6255.while in camera mode use navigation keys(left and right) to automatically toggle between modes(camera,night mode,video,portrait).You dont need to go to options and change mode everytime. hope this was of help. And Mukul,i will try your method tomorrow and tell you how it goes.thanx for the inputs guys.keep it coming. Mayur

thanx for the input mukul. i did manage a workaround for this down side of the phone which i would love to share with all the music enthusiasts here. Club as many songs you like together using any mp3 joiner utility and get the count to less than 200.In this way i am able to play more songs as the playlist will show only ther number of mp3 files which internally can contain more than one song(like ripping an entire cd into one single file) As for the ultra mp3 player i knew it cant be installed on the 6255 but just thought maybe there is some type of player floating around which can be installed on this phone. anyone???

Ok guys, Just thought i would share with you all. This NCP 1GB MMC card that i bought works just fine with my nokia 6255. I just got lotzz of my mp3 songs on it and the phone rocks man..... Its become like a jukebox now.trust me guys your money is valued with this phone. Pl ignore if this was earlier known. Just hope these guys at Reliance enable more stuff on rworld for this phone n maybe add some graphical content.the text version is somewhat dissapointing. Btw is there a possibility of installing a different mp3 player on the phone as the one thats there is a very basic one with not much options.maybe something cool as ultra mp3.has anyone heard of an mp3 player for this series?? pl share.
