There r different extensions/formats supported by different phones. u must be glad that LG6130 supports .mid which is a widely used format for ringtones n am sure u'll find tonnes of them on the net. *.dat was/is supported by LG2030 and alike. Hence forget that format now when u have a 6130. Without using the MMS Portal, i doubt its not possible as of now. *.wav is a very heavy format and hence not really recommended for tones. i too dont have any tones in that format. 36953[/snapback] Thanks Chirag. You are right. I could find out many ringtones in .mid format. Thanks to 6130 that ir supports this format. But from last tow day MMS portal is giving error message as mentioned by me earlier. When we try to Add Slide it gives Error message. You earlier said that sending MMS to our own number is not chargeable. Just wanted to reconfirm with you. Is it still free?? What is the charge in case we send to other number. Can we convert mp3 songs to midi format or wav to midi format ?

From Yesterday, I am also getting the same error. I think could be bcos of heavy rain in Mumbai. It worked perfact on 29th July, and from 31st error message is coming. You may ask this, which I already mentioned in All about 6130 thread.

Thanks Chirag, I could send any tone or pix today, as every time it was showing error. I could attach the file, but when click on Add Slide message comes - An internal error has occurred. The operation could not be completed. Is this because of again rain in Mumbai?? Few things like to know more : 1) Please explain about ringtones with .dat file. This extension is not supported by MMS portal. 2) Can we still send ringtones/Wallpaper through our email as attachment i.e. without using this MMS portal. 3) Can 6130 support Wav file also. In case you have pls. send. In ringtone section, I could not found any wav file, except one - Gayatri Mantra but it is more than 100kb.

Thanks Thanks, Actually in the thread of MMS to 6130 I read that the correct address is rmms and not mms, but thanks a lot for your suggestions. I tried sending .dat file (ringtone) but this portal doesn't allow that extension file. But I could successfully send .mid file alongwith even wallpaper both together.

Dear Chirag, Today evening and just now I could access MMS portal, and sent wallpaper and ringtone to my cell, but the same problem. I got alert on my cell, but while downloading Error came as R-World not ready. I am tired looking at this message now. The wallpaper I sent is attached below for reference. The size is very small. Let me tell you how I downloaded the same, so in case I am doing any mistake you can prompt me, as you successfully downloading the same. After registration I go to Compose Message. I browse the ringtone or wallpaper to the location in my local harddisk. (even I tried upload the same in Media gallery) I click on to add slide and so wallpaper appears in preview. After that I click on address and send menu and send the same to my number – 919377605589@rmms.ricmail.com but the problem is same error message after MMS receipt alert. Please help me to down load ringtone and wall paper. One more thing to add – I could find the appropriate cover. Try LG 2230 cover, it’s perfectly match with 6130. In thread Software upgrade for LG6000/6130, Version 18 is latest - you mentioned that version 18 is latest. Mine is still 15 and as said earlier ASC in Surat and on *333 they said 15 is latest. Ya, you are correct. Today it's give different message - Internal Server Error. It could be due to heavy rain. Yesterday in Surat UTI bank ATMs were not working and also Reliance mobiles in Mumbai were down. So let's wait for some days for system to settle. :'(

I tried 2-3 times to access MMS page, but it sayd page can not be found. Dunno what is the problem??? Request to Chirag - pls. check from your end. You are the only person who can get MMS in your phone from this portal. I have always tried wallperpers and ringtones size < 60kb, but still same problem, and now today the page is not opening.

Dear Friends, I am not in a position to receive wallpaper and ringtone as MMS from below mentioned portal. http://bill.relianceinfo.com/webapp/portal/servlet/MMSLogin When I send MMS through this portal on 09377605589@rmms.ricmail.com,(my number) I get alert on my cell and when I try to receive it, it connect to R-World and then message comes – “R-World not ready”. Now there is no way I can receive that MMS. After this I tried R-World and it’s works perfectly. I have tried sending wallpaper (@ 20kB) and ringtone (midi format - @ 3.7kb) which were downloaded from our forum only. The version of my mobile LG-6130 (purchased on 15th July’05) is - S/W : RD613F15 PRL : 2 JAVA : CLDC-1.0 MIDP-1.0 I enquired at LG service centre and they said this F15 version is latest one. Some one said in this thread earlier that version 18 is the latest one. ?????????? LG service centre in Surat (Gujarat), (Om Sai Services, Golden Point, Ringroad) told me that there is a problem in 6130 regarding incoming MMS and there is no solution so far for the same. Funny answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I enquired the same at *333, and got the same answer – the version is latest and they also accepted that there is technical problem in 6130 about incoming MMS and as per them Reliance is working on the same. At present no solution for this. This phone was introduced @ 9 months back and still such answers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LG Service centre and *333 both accepted that LG-6130 has problem in receiving MMS!!!!!!!!! One of the reason for changing from 5130 to 6130 was availability of downloading wallpapers and ringtones in 6130. Request you to please help me now what should I do?? How can I download ringtones and Wallpapers???? One more thing to add – I purchased data cable and downloaded LG Link and able to transfer data from my phone and also snap. The cable is Com port. Dear Basant_jp, This is for you. I want to thank all of the members who posted in this thread. I was using LG 5130 and frustated as nothing can be added for fun - ringtone, wallpaper. I read this thread and Nokia 6225 thread and selected LG 6130, as it support R-world. The 6255 is out of budget. So finally I purchased new LG 6130 yesterday. I tried all the different ways iformed in this thread for sending ringtone and wallpaper as MMS, but could not receive any MMS in my mobile. First I tried using my outlook express - 09377605589@mms.ricmail.com (my number) and sent ringtones which are available in other threads. Since I have not received I tried the same using my rediffmail account, but then also not received any MMS. At last I sent MMS through the link given by you - http://bill.relianceinfo.com/webapp/portal/servlet/MMSLogin but still not received MMS. Please help me how to download ringtones and wallpapers through MMS in mobile. That was one of the reasong to switch over to 6130.

Dear All, I am having LG5130 phone. The Cricket game comes it with is OK. In NOKIA phone we can simply download different games through GPRS or via cable. In 5130 there is menu called Multimedia in which we can save (download) video clips from R world. Can we download Games also in to it? Anyone has tried this? If so please help how to do this.

LG 7130 and 2030 are stopped by Relaince. @ month back I had enquired abour LG 7130, because it's a camera phone with video also. but they told me that now it's not available. I think Reliance should now introduce Bluetooth/MP3/MMC enabled phones. Because now the latest trend is towards this. LG also has introduced many models with different options in GSM but CDMA still on lower end. LG 6000 has also not the required features. So let's wait, some new model will come.

Thanks for your reply. Hope the same will not be possible in any LG mobile phone. Is it possible in CDMA NOKIA models? If so I should think to change my handset.
