Hi Dr.Muffadal, After repairing PIN,can it be used for GSM network BIS?.Also unlocking the handset and repairing PIN ...Are these two different entities?Please help us know

Hi All I bought a BB8830 at Ahmedabad(not through tata indicom,but a third party) and was using a GSM sim card.Recently I moved into Bangalore & here when I wanted to activate BIS with Airtel,they said that my PIN is engaged with TATA INDICOM and they said that it needs to be deactivated first.When I approached TATA,they enquired me about the primary owner's detail,which I did not have.Hence,they said that they cannot disengage my PIN.But I am able to use Airtel SIM for normal voice calling.Is there a way to disengage my PIN.Is my handset still Locked?pls help

Hi Mufaddal,I have bb8830 and now i have shifted to a new city for a new job and my company here is having a CUG with airtel.But i want to use the same phone for airtel. Ijust want to know how to manually configure gprs settings so that i can use a operamini browser to browse internet without activating bis/bes.pls help In TCP use APN name : Airtel_gprs Username & pwd - leave blank Pl tell me if it works for u Hi asheet,it was not working for me.I have gprs activated on my SIM.do I need to activate "Mobile office" also to browse?
