  3. New Nokia 2865 Cdma

I have no problem connecting the phone to the laptop. The connection if fine. I enter the login name and password which goes through. After that I see the send and receive message on the phone. And then I get this message (See attached picture). The bluetooth worked fine with my old Nokia 6255. However since I have changed over to the Nokia 2865 (which works with the UIM card) I get this error. Do you think its a problem at the Reliance network end?

  5. Nokia 2112 For Rconnect

I agree with you. The data cable is more expensive for Nokia phones. Also somehow the connection is not very stable with Nokia. It keeps dropping. I finally gave up on my Nokia 2800 and now have switched to LG 2130. It works like a dream. No dropouts, etc, etc. Incidently I bought the USB datacable from this website!
  6. RIM is now offering recharge refills with a ONE year valadity (untill 31st March 2005) with Nokia 2280 prepaid plan. This package comes at Rs. 6500.00 This is good news for low volume users as they can now make calls for one year compared to the previous 6 months. I am considering this purchase mainly to use the R Connect services to access the net while travelling in India. Would appreciate feedback from actual users of Nokia 2280 and their experiences using R Connect. Thanks.

  9. About Rim Prepaid

I am currently using a Nokia 2280 with RIM prepaid and no problems whatsoever. Maybe your problem is isolated to your area. I am sure if you identify your area or location where you are facing problems, others could help.
  10. R-connect In Lan

If you are using Windows XP, you can read the instructions at: Microsoft Practically Networked
  11. Signal Boosters

B O R E D, Check out this article by the author who did a research on Cell Phone Antenna Booster
  12. Signal Boosters

Also the Nokia 2280 has two antenna's: One internal and another which can be pulled out (the external one). Maybe that is what makes the difference!!!
  13. Hows the all new Motorola C131 ?

I purchased the C131 from the Reliance Web World stall in an exhibition for 1500.00. Being a GSM user I though that this was an attractive entry price for an instrument (including two 324 refils of Rs. 400.00 talk time). After using it for over a month, here is my list of pros and cons: Pros: Attractive Styling Egronomicall designed instrument (fits nicely against your ear) No protruding antenna Good sound and speech clarity Cons: Poor screen visibility. This is the worst screen ever. Poor font legibility. Font size extremely small and not easily readible. If you are avid SMS'er then this phone is not for you. Centre toggle circular key on the keypad does not function properly. One has to press it numerous times before you can get it to work. This instrument is only good for someone who is JUST interested in making and receiving calls. SMS users can avoid this phone and save your eyes. No R World or R Connect availabe with this phone.
  14. Vsnl Launches 2 Pre-paid Broadband Plans

GREAT NEWS Ashok, These prices are a steal (for unlimited) compared to what I pay for Sify Broadband. Just can't wait for them to get started.
  15. Thanks gdi123 for your feedback. I would appreciate more comments from other users of Nokia 2280 as well as LG 2030 users. Thanks to you all.
  16. I am a newbie migrating from GSM to RIM. Apart from making and receiving calls, I would be mainly using the R Connect services. I would appreciate feedback and experiences from actual users of both LG RD 2030 and Nokia 2280 while using the R Connect services. I have personally seen both the models and am leaning more towards the Nokia 2280. However I thought it would be best to get suggestions from the RIMWEB.com community to help me make my decision. Thanks to you all.
  17. I wonder if they have the same offer with the LG RD 2030?
  18. Thanks Greens, What model would you recommend for the postpaid plan to use with the R Connect service.
