AMD is my 1st choice. Have been using 2 laptops with AMD. No Issues at all. Also for heating issues check the way you use your system. For laptops, We usually use them kept on bed, which blocks the way for Air to pass hence causing it to heat.

RGSM Postpaid is no good. They charged me Rs. 1000 for Data Roaming with MobileNet 99 pack is active on my phone & Data Roaming is free as per CC.

I agree with you that average GSM user wont get speeds above 5-7 KBps but I personally feel GSM oprators have increased available bandwidth & urgraded towers as well for launch of 3G. Even Docomo is giving good EDGE speed now a days. Thanks

If EDGE performs better than 1x within identical environment(same time, same distance to BTS, same BTS congestion), it could only be in one's mid summer noon dream. Problem is with your GSM Operator's network & not the Handset. For GSM Handsets no settings are to be done. Your can upgrade your Handset's OS & download new version of BBM.

They did not, I called CC and asked to be converted to prepaid as my postpaid plan is not VFM, instead of trying to retain he said but you have a porting request. I told him I would either convert to prepaid or port than stick with high rental postpaid plan. He then said engineer will call back with better plan. I would not say my ARPU is very high but definitely it is much higher than average. Baffled by CC. Actually Reliance was not expecting such outcome of MNP, Every operator be it AirHELL or BSNL has a MNP link on their website while RCom has '0' on MNP on their website. Also RCom is keeping their old customers as a priority & it varies from Circle to Circle. I am from MP&CG Circle, they gave me good offer (mentioned in posts above).

Sent MNP request from RCDMA, got call from them to stay on Reliance network. They offered me Plan of Rs 444, with 544 free call valve. All calls@ 44p/min. All local RCDMA+RGSM Calls free for 12 months + free SMS. Is this offer worth people ??? I am a Reliance Platinum Customer.

Process is very simple. 01. Connect Modem to USB port (all drivers should be loaded & modem should be working on that port) 02. Go to device manager & find out the port number on which modem is connected. 03. Most of the cases SPC 000000 (six zeros). Connect to CDMA Workshop. Connect to the correct port. 04. under security, send SPC to modem, you will get a message the phone is unlocked. 04 Read from phone, under other change the RUIM config to "R UIM if avail" write to modem & save close CDMA workshop. Remove the modem. 05. Put the RUIM in modem & repeat 01 to 03. Now it should show you the E*N & Min number etc of R UIM. 06. Read from phone.Under Nam change the PRL option to enabled, write to Modem save & close. You are done In case the modem doesn't accept SPC 000000, then search for ZTEPST.exe on net download. connect to the correct port, it will read the spc & unlock the modem Thanks for the details procedure. All Landline operators (Airtel, BSNL etc) have put an end to old '95' calling for intra circle calls. Hence the same has been allotted to Reliance GSM Services.
