India’s single largest Duel technology mobile service provider (GSM and CDMA), Reliance Communications (Rcom) has de-activated around 10 million in-active, low-end mobile subscribers at the end of September. According to telecom regulator TRAI’s data, Reliance Communications (Rcom) purged approx 8% of its GSM and CDMA subscriber base in the month of September, 2013. With this clean-up move, Rcom lost its third position in the Indian mobile – telecom market to Idea Cellular in terms of user base. According to TRAI data, India’s total mobile subscriber base (GSM and CDMA) decreased from 876.72 million in August 2013 to 870.58 million at the end of September 2013, registering a monthly decline of 0.70%. Largest GSM mobile service provider Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India hold the number one and number two positions with 193.3 million customers 155 million customers respectively. Idea Cellular is now 3rd largest mobile service provider in terms of mobile subscriber base, gained 1.2 million users in the month to end September with 127.2 million users. Mobile subscribers in urban areas decreased from 525.84 million in August 2013 to 520.21 million at the end of September 2013. Few months ago reliance had revised STV74 by cutting freebies. They have revised it again and added some freebies back. The STV74 now offers onnet local mobile calls at 1p/6sec (i.e. 10p/min), local offnet mobile calls at 1p/2sec (i.e. 30p/min), STD Mobile calls at 1.5p/s and full talktime on all topups starting from Rs 30 Reliance has also replaced data offer (100MB 1st month) with SMS offer of 99 SMS at 10 paisa after 1st SMS of day charged Rs 1. STV74 now comes with a validity of 180 days instead of 90 days. While most operators Local at 30p/min pack cost above Rs 60 for 30 days. Reliance challenges all of them with this unique offer. Dear Mr.Puneet, Same type of issue solved to me after a long time. But I'm not sure in your case. Try your luck in the following way. First give a request to activate EVDO Service by putting alternate mobile number. Immediately keep this sim, in which handset you want to use and switch it off. (Don't keep the sim outside) Within 1 to 4 days, you will get a call to your Alternate Mobile. If this is from CC then explain everything and ask to arrange a callback to your alternate number from Technical people (Only this people know to solve this) When Technical people calls you, explain that you can use with other CDMA prepaid sim and not with this sim. If there is no callback to you, after confirming the service request closed, then remove the sim from the handset and again put it back and try to use.

Recharge with Rs. 201, you will get R2R local 2000 mts, R2O local 700 mts, with a validity of 30 days. If you recharge again on or before validity, your surplus minits of any i.e. R2R or R20 will be carried over. And for STD's & SMS's will be cut from main balance. In this Rs.201, you won't get any balance but you will get number of mints. In the middle if you want know, how many minits available, dial *226 and call button. Within 2 mints, you will get a reply message with details. If you are a low user, then recharge with Rs.80 and you will get 200 local mints, useful for any with a validity of 30 days.
