Is rooting important???....bcoz i dont want to get much deeper into my phone i.e. i want my basic phone feature working flawlessly and to use some of android features! Can u give me the latest Reliance PRL...and can i load the prl through sd card or i should do it with qpst? my current base band version is 1.04.01.09.21 am sorry for late reply actually i was out of town!!!.. Help Help...!! I am facing multiple problems with my Hero(Reliance) am on stock rom 1.5 and have not done any thing with my rom..i have just done the programming on my hero myself with help from members some months ago. 1. My phone always shows its on International roaming. PRL = 60659, PRI = 1.70_003. This i am facing from begining. 2. I am facing very heavy "signal faded-call lost" problem have to call 4-5 time to make a single call. maximum call drops after few secs. I am facing this prob also from beginning, but it has become very frequent recently. 3. The latest peculiar problem i am facing is that almost all the time for first 4-5 mins my touch screen wont respond. and some times it happens that all the function r working except my phone function, whenever i am trying to open the dialer or people etc the error message shows "com.android.acore" has stopped working and it force closes. and in this state i am also not able to receive any call on text. Please suggest some solution dear friends...as i am a layman when it comes to programming phones! Thanks in advance...regards, Amit

1.5 hrs few cons 1) no video recording 2) limited games and apps ( but that is understood as platform is new and palm recently fixed their agreement with developers) Can we do video recording with the help of some other software??...or is it not possible to have video recording on pre?? And from what u have written does it means in the worst case we can only have one chance to Hard reset the pre..and if atall after that any need arises for a hard reset then can it be done or not?? Dr. can u expalin how can we make sure that the phone has not been activate..i mean what are the steps to find out that..and does starting the phone will have any problem..and do u know any trusted ebay seller..if u can share one wit me..i didnt found abad esn pre for $200...its all above $300.. Hello.. I am also planning to buy a new phone and am very confused between HTC-Diamond or Touch Pro and Palm Pre... had a talk with muffy..he also suggested going for pre..but said to be ready to accept as its a mind ****ing handset.. vry diff to crack.. As i am a laymen when it comes to mobile programming/hac**ing..So i am confused for which one i should go... also given the fact that i have heard a l ot of problems with Htc Touch Pro.. I need a stable phone that dont require that much of all those programming stuff everytime...and also i dot wan to fill in the phone wit loads of pragrammes...i ll have limited programme..but i wan my handset to be stable, fast and without much hicupps... Whats ur opinion...would i be able to crack palm pre..as i have heard thats it has lots of restriction e.g u cant hard reset and all.. I am going to buy from ebay usa..what precaution should i take?? Ohh.. i read abt esn and meid..as the esn numbers are getting over the fcc/industry have started issuing this new meid numder (like imei) for identification of cdma handsets. So there is no difference for activation here in india between esn and meid handsets??... it is jus a different method for mobile identification as far as i have read...correct me if i am worng!!!

Hello Everybody!!!.... I have started this new handset Motorola W362 after my palm 755 has been stolen,.,. The problem is that i am not able to find a software so as to connect this phone to my pc so that i can transfer all my contacts in the phonebook..as i have got roughly 800 entries so its not possible to punch it manually...so please help me find out a way to transfer all my contacts into this phone ( jus for information i ahev tried using Motorola Phone tool V.5 & V.4 but in vain...it says ur phone is not supported in this version, and when i called up the motorola support center they say this phone cannot be used to sync with pc with a cable??...) I am planning to buy a new Rim handset and i am a bit confused that which set i should go for, Smasung M569 or Nokia 6275. and that fact that i am not getting nokia 6275 in reliance but it is available in Tata will it have any prob in usage or warranty?..
