Dial *#06# on any GSM set to know IMEI number. If you are talking about LG RD3000 then it's a CDMA set and CDMA sets don't have IMEI number...they have ESN/MEID. So in this case above will not work.

Yes...I second you...thats why i told instead of spending 4 k for dvd player...go for WDTV...you won't have to do upgrade your player when you upgrade your tv in future...
-
Why don't you go for Western Digital TV (WDTV)...it can play many media formats including mkv and H264...also you don't need to burn dvds...just plug your pendrive and you are done...also xtreamer is a good choice...it supports more formats than WD TV and has support of internal HDD...WDTV is available for around 7k on ebay http://cgi.ebay.in/W...=item2ea98199c7 xtreamer is available for 9k http://www.techencla...ogy-146538.html

A BIZARRE school event in which students' hands were run over by a man on a motorbike had the backing of the local parent-teacher group, it's been claimed. A photograph shows a motorcyclist riding over the outstretched hands of schoolchildren lying on the ground during a "bravery show" organised by a government elementary school in Villupuram in India's Tamil Nadu state. While the event prompted protests from children's rights activists, the school's headmaster said the event was organised with the consent of the school's parents-teachers' association. CNN reported that the students, aged six to 13, were all learning karate and no-one was injured.

Updated: 11-digit Mobile Numbers By 2010 - '9’ to be prefixed to all existing numbers
konquerror replied to Sadikk's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
The Department of Telecom (DoT) has amended the National Numbering Plan to introduce 11-digit mobile numbers in the country. The current 10-digit numbers are likely to be inadequate to accommodate the growing new subscriber additions. In an internal note, dated November 26, 2009, DoT says, "The National Numbering Plan 2003 is amended for migration to 11-digit numbering plan in mobile services by prefixing digit '9' in existing two-digit PLMN Access Code." The mobile number has three components of numbering -- PLMN code, MSC code and subscriber number. The regulator wants another digit to be added to the PLMN code, which, at present, is a two-digit code. MSC code is a three-digit number, while subscriber number is a five digit code. DoT, which had planned to introduce 11-digit numbers in April this year, wants operators to migrate to the 11-digit ecosystem by January 2010. However, it remains to be seen if operators would be able to migrate to new numbering plan at a short notice. Source: http://www.techtree....107864-893.html -

mp4 and mkv are containers for H264 encoded videos...mp4 is proprietary format whereas mkv is free. So any player capable to decoding H264 should be able to play these files...
